I would have to say Neji, because if you pick Naruto without Kyuubi, that'd be picking Gaara with Shukaku. Neji, unlike the two demon infested kids, has extreme power and in Lee's words, "The strongest genin may be on my team." So yea, I'd have to vote Neji. If you vote for Gaara because of Shukaku, then you'd have to vote Naruto because of Kyuubi.

The strongest Genin is gaara. As of the very latest chapter. naantje, that isn't true in every shonen.... I can even name one that Naruto fans tend to bash(without watchign it) like Dragonball(note: the original) and even DBZ. Or One piece.

Without the Curse seal and the Kyubi (but why?) it's between Gaara and Sasuke with a huge advantage for Gaara.
With the curse seal and Kyubi it's between Sasuke, Gaara and Naruto.

What the hell? Naruto used Kyuubi for one of the final blows. If you take away Kyuubi,Shukaku, and the curse seal and get right down to their god given talent and ability it goes down to Neji,Lee, or Sasuke. I think Lee is the strongest genin because his high speed combo, primary lotus move is the strongest natural ability. Although Sasuke might be able to copy that after seeing it but since he doesn't have it I'd say Lee is the strongest genin. Gai says Lee could beat Neji with the combo he did on Gaara. edit: Naruto did summon Gamabunta without Kyuubi when he fought Gaara so if summons count he is the strongest.

Its not even a valid question. Like somebody pointed out. If u say Naruto without Kyubi and Sasuke without Cursed Seal then why not say Gaara without Shukaku or maybe evn neji without his Hyuuga shit. If it comes straight down to pure skill with out the aid of some bullshit seal, nine tails, sand monster, bloodeline limit then its probably Lee.

OK, well if we are going to strip them down to just natural talent, then I will have to agree and say, Lee or Sasuke. Remember, even before Sasuke awoke his Sharingan, he was better than Sakura and Naruto put together. Of course now if he doesn't use it, he is pretty much dead. He has learned to rely on it too much.

Naruto relies on Kyuubi in exactly the same way Gaara relies on Shukaku. Naruto needs Kyuubi's massive chakra to make effective use of all of his specialty moves; Kage Bunshin, the Rasengan, Summoning... Gaara wouldn't be able to control sand at all without Shukaku as far as we know. While it's true that both Naruto and Gaara become disproportionately powerful when they let their demons take over, they rely on them passively for more or less all of their fighting. I don't see why we need to rule either of them out though. Kyuubi and Shukaku are just as valid an advantage as the Sharingan or Byakugan.

If you are going to take Kyuubi and Shukaku go ahead and take the Sharingan and Byakugan away too, might as well take all bloodlines away while your at it. Kyuubi and Shukaku were something they were born with, just like the Sharingan and Byakugan. In my opinion the two demons are just their "bloodlines", no matter how cheap or whatever you may say.

Without Sasukes bloodline he has no Sharingan, no super-speed Taijutsu, no Chidori because Kakashi wouldnt have taught it to him. Looks like he just became no better then Kyuubi-less Naruto. I could go on with more examples but I think you get my point.

If bloodlines were out Lee would be the strongest in my opinion, but with bloodlines AND curse seals and the like, Sasuke would be the strongest. Naruto has more potential in my opinon (because of Kyuubi) but Sasuke is stronger right now.
