LoL, I saw your other thread. It would have been fine to use that one to ask for suggestions. (a list of anime you like is probably better than "Romance with Magical Fighting" lol)
Anyways, you might want to check out... Onegai Teacher Chobits Fruits Basket Juuni Kokuki Umm, yeah those don't fit in the "romance with Magical Fighting" category... but they're a few anime that I liked... and I liked some of the anime you liked (all except for Negima and Shuffle) so... yeah Last edited by jedinat; 2006-04-17 at 01:11. |

Romance with magic figthing
Tsubasa Chronicle - its a Clamp's work. rpg type Magic Knight Rayearth- also Clamp's work, more romance part on second season. Haruka naru Toki no Naka de - like fushigi yuugi but has a darker plot. Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne - magic girl type, shoujo anime based from Arina Tanemura's manga. The plus point is it can be found here at animesuki. KIBA- new anime. It has lots of fighting using magic, but not so sure if it has romance part. Tokyo Underground - has lots of fighting for the sake to rescue his beloved one |

Thanks a lot! I don't know what I can do to thank you all...Really, thank you...
I've read the manga of Chobits...interesting, but not interesting enough to have an urge to watch it again...is the plot of the anime the same as the manga? Cardcaptor Sakura (NEVER watch the DUB!! Go for the Sub!!) Haha I agree I never watch dubs. (although I don't call myself a hardcore anime watcher, I just hate the dubs...maybe I'm not used to English voices coming out from Asian faces...should be okay if the characters are westernized...) Fushigi Yuugi yay I was a big fan of this series...8 years ago. I might consider watching it ^^ Inuyasha Too bad...I watched an episode with my friend and decided the style of this anime is not the type I like(I simply hate those 'I am talking AND fighting furiously type of stuff...being a swords(wo)man myself I prefer battles to be more down to the earth) Ragnarok the Animation Should be interesting...if my ex-bf didn't abandon me for this game. Now I hold a gurge against online games... Tsubasa Chronicle Interesting series...a bit depressing though...the manga. I'll try the anime. Magic Knight Rayearth Dammit final episode missing! :P I've watched it last week lol. Thanks for the suggestion. Mai hime I have to say, awesome music. So far I've watched both manga and anime, and find this series quite deep. Mai Otome, however, is a huge disappointment. Sailormoon *sweats* *more sweats* *drenched in sweat* I remember how I used to cosplay sailormoon with my cousins when I'm 8...oh the memories...*shiver* |

I watched the first 37 episodes of the original sailor moon series before I realized I could no longer maintain an erection. I abandoned the show and committed myself to a purifying process which involved prolonged exposure to various ecchi and violent anime.
Regretably my efforts were rendered mute... in recent months shoujo manga has left me bereft of both manhood and self esteem. Yet I keep reading... despite the recent suspicious growth of my upper chest region. |

A bit old, but Ranma 1/2. If you can find it anyway. There's far more fighting than romance, since the main character doesn't seem to like to admit there is any. By the same person as Inuyasha, only (in my opinion) a lot more realisic and overall better. But I didn't like Inuyasha's style.
I would again suggest Kage Kara Mamoru, if just because it's short and funny, but you've already said no to that. Kanon is good for romance and story, but has very little fighting (I think only two of the episodes have fighting demons in). Orguss 02 is good, but it's mostly Mecha fighting. Has violence, nudity, blood, etc. But it keeps away from too much violence or anything graphic. I guess you could kind of even say Naruto, as they have sort of romance...way in the background. Ninja's, but using powers more typical of magic. Like shooting fireballs, summoning, controlling people. And Sailor Mercury always seems to win in popularity polls. Anyone with a giant blade on a stick wins for me though (read: Silence Glaive). |
