well I do agree, but you must understand that no matter what misstake you have done..it has been done before like 100 times so ppl get tired of being nice

I suggest just reading the rules and I am sure things will be okey

Rhia, we are 6,392 on this forum.. There is someone who acts mean, it's a fact, but as you can see, it's inevitable. Avoid mean people and try to avoid hot topics too. >_<

Yeah, don't give up on the forum, there is nice people around, but we have to admit there is some people who really gets crazy about the rules. Like they have never made a mistake.

For example, back in the old forums, I made threads like crazy, and some guys told me I was creating way too much threads, and that some of my questions couldn't be answered. So, I got somehow pissed off, I thought "If you don't want to post, don't post". But then I realised that it is sometimes annoying to see new members making mistakes. Anyway, that's why moderators exist: to correct us.

I know what u mean if you observe the threads around here. Just hang around for awhile and you'll get a feel of it. A golden rule for not being bashed is to follow the forum rules that's all. We regulars thrive on people's ignorance of that. Sad but true.

Yeh there are some people who arent kind sometimes but a majority of people on here are funnny or happy
Most of the time people are rude or mean when it comes to rules...just read em and ya should be okey...i admit that some people could be a little nicer when enforcing the rules but hey i dunno ^__^
Well good luck! ^_^

Personally I think people should take some time to read the rules and learn their way around before posting on any forum. But if you really don't want to wait you should expect a certain amount flaming as you learn the rules by trial and error. Remember Animesuki is a reallly popular website and has new people joining daily, if everyone just started posting nonsense or out of place this forum would be chaos and the mods would be way over worked.

Personally I think you seem nice and hope you tough it out, but try not to be overly sensitive or you'll have a hard time anywhere you go .

I know this forum is already successful enough as it is, but I just came across something that the moderators might find it interesting

http://www.sitepoint.com/article/983

Quote:
1. Welcome and Help New Members
Some popular forums seem to be not so newbie-friendly -- and in some instances, new members are automatically given a virtual hazing. "Hi I'm new!" posts are considered spam in some forums, and are therefore given cold treatment, or are subjected to a huge flaming.

But it's only natural that users will want to introduce themselves, and get to know others in the community.

3. Run a Contest
A contest to encourage posting can be a good idea, but watch out -- there are a few snags involved!

4. Use Conversation Starters
If it's a slow day in the forums, so why not seed a few discussions?

Turn that Lurker!
Lurkers are a lot like "the new kid in school" -- they're standing around on the sidelines, watching how their classmates interact, and trying to find a place where they'll fit in and have fun.

Of course, each time they approach a group, the new kid risks the threat of rejection, and "seeming dumb". Online, lurkers can watch from a more distant perspective, but the basic dynamics are the same.

You have to show lurkers that your forums are a great place to be, that this is the spot where they will have their questions answered, and be welcomed and respected. Once you've achieved this, you might need to kick-start them with a few incentives that make them take the time to sign up.

Yes actually there are a lot of people like that on this forum but whatever, just ignore them or you'll eventually get as low as them

We already have a sticky thread for that.

I think this is encouraged all the time, but they need to just make sure it's not just nonsense.

I think this is true already. People just need to realize that if they use the search button there is a good chance the subject has already been covered in depth. If not, then they are welcome to bring it up.

but are they really getting respected? I somehow aint sure on that...

For example it is common to say 'read the rule damn it' everytime some noob asked questions. Now if its me I will stay away from this forum. Don't want to name names but people can get really rough on this forum.
