Nell/Neru caught up with Ichigo. Ichigo then encounters Arrancar Dol-Doni (Arrancar #103). Ichigo criticizes Dol-Doni on how weak he is. It is later revealed by Tousen Kaname that arrancars whom possesses a 3 digit number are former Espadas whom have had their ranks revoked.

So this Zorro lookin guy used to be an Espada? Aren't they what Uliquola and Yammy are? I get confused with all these damn hollows. I guess he's like Grimjaw, well before he blasted that girly guy to pieces. I'm looking forward to this Zorro guy cause he looks like he uses his feet for his shikai. That should make for a stylish fight. And Nell is still killing me with cuteness. I official like her better than Hanatarou. But i still love you too Hanatarou!

Aizen has a crazy way of numbering its arrancar...

Arrancar #11-99: Birth order, weakest of them
Arrancar #01-09: Espadas, strongest bunch
Arrancar #100+: Ex-Espadas, stronger than the first, but weaker than espadas.

Hope we dont get to see Arrancar with numbers above #1000...

According to the Bleach article at Wikipedia:

Arrancar ranked 11 - 99 are Numeros. (Spanish. Numbers)
Arrancar ranked 100 - 999 are Cifras. (Spanish. Digits)

The number system makes no sense with the power levels.

Former espada should be alloted into the two-digit numbers rank while average arrancar be classified as three-digit numbers.

seems that the pribalon espada were deprived of their ranks and abandoned by aizen. they could be near the level of real espadas, or they could be around the level of later, more experimentally successful numeros, there's no way of telling ATM. we don't even know if 103 means former no.3 or just the 3rd/4th to be thrown out. anyway it would be real lame if they're defeated by ichigo & co and become allies.

Ah, but that was against an unreleased and sans arm Grimmjaw. Grimm was kicked out of the Espada ranks when he lost his arm, so that probably means there was a considerable drop in his strength after Tousen lopped off his arm.

I'm hoping for a good fight...maybe some interference from Nell? Maybe he could do another headbutt attack, but this time vs the Espada. Gogo DBZ reference, whoo~

Ichigo could probably obliterate this guy with his Bankai, but I imagine he's going to get slapped around a bit before finally getting serious. So far Hueco Mundo seems a less threatening place than Soul Society (I still have yet to see any villain as disturbing as Mayuri). I was expecting something more sinister, y'know.. traps, twisted mind games and such. I really hope this doesn't shape up to be a "enter room, defeat enemy, collect 500 bonus pts, go to next room..." kind of scenario. Still it's kinda cool that this enemy is an ex-Espada, though it kind of blurs what the exact strength requirements are to be considered one.

And it's always good to see Gin again, I like the fact that he knows everyone thinks he's sneaky bastard and doesn't care. Also, it looks like Wonderweiss can talk..barely. I wonder how powerful he'll be when and if he fights again.

hm....i dunno if ichigo can handles all these former and current espadas just by counting on his bankai. I think his bankai is the lamest of all captains (maybe second to mayuri's evil caterpillar baby ), because of his lack of attack moves. He only rely on his speed and getsuga tenshou. It's getting really old watching him using the same stuffs over and over again.

The mask also doesn't do much except raising his speed and power....and make him a psycho.

I think if he wanna get through all the espadas and aizen, he need to be in semi-hollow mode. the one when he was training with the vaizards few chapters back. If only he can control that semi-hollow form, this whole mission will be done in a quicky. but i guess masked ichigo should be sufficient to fight the espadas...so far

note that even though they are ex-espadas, it doesn't change the fact that they aren't espadas. Since Aizen created Arrancar and replaced them with the Espadas because they have soul-slayers. if i remember correctly Hitsugaya said that normal espadas are tough for a Taicho and the one that Ichigo is facing is #103, or in short, the third best Espada (or once). just a little food for thought. . . . . ^^

as he says "don't judge a book by it's cover", its certainly not going to be that simple.

Actually you have a rather wrong onion about Vichigo (masked Ichigo) . Vichigo is not powered up Ichigo , he is on a whole different plane. The major factor that distinguishes Vichigo from Ichigo is Killer Instinct. Ichigo tries to defeat you in combat, Vichigo tries to kill you

Vichigo has more number of skills and techniques than Ichigo why? .Vichigo is a part and parcel of Ichigo i.e. Zangetsu . The fight against Bya Vichigo show cased the widest range if skills which we have not even see Ichigo ever use . But once Vichigo takes over he can’t be controlled and goes berserk, most likely not distinguishing friend from foe

Ichigo can’t control Vichigo for 13 seconds i.e. Ichigo is in control if the hollow side till it completely takes over .If indeed Vichigo’s control time limit is extended for longer durations the current set of Espada stand no chance one on one against him .

The best moments of the chapter are again related to Nell's childish and funny acts. I hope that he/she continues to stay around Ichigo also in the human world.

i really like nell a lot now
i have a feeling that nell's abilities will involve healing, like hanatorou
either that or nell will be a little monster and have insane attack power when pushed to the edge (ie, maybe when nell see ichigo about to bite it, nell goes into berserk mode)
i mean, when ichigo attempted to run away this chapter, nell used "super speed!" and actually caught up to ichigo, knocking him to the ground... i'm sure there's more to nell than meets the eye

also, on page five, ichigo actually has a flashback of Don Kan'onji about halfway down the page. then we get Espada Kan'onji #103. I have a feeling it might be played for laughs. This guy will seem super tough (he did cut Ishigo) and then he will go for his ultimate attack and it will be like Don Kan'onji's little golden ball attack.

but i bet we don't get to see ichigo for a chap or two while Kubo gives us stuff about the other four rescuers. i predict next chapter is Ishida (to coincide with next episode of the anime and it will be Quincy week)

nell started to look like ichi's lil bro. he's so attached to ichigo. I agreed with sazelyt. I hope nell comeback to real world and stay with ichigo as his lil bro...and replace that stupid idiotic kon
