Protect the Girl type of anime

Hmm...i've become interested in these types recently.

I want something with action, and romance...y'know male character protecting girl in dangerous situations etc. (has to be complete.)

A few i've watched that are like this are: Fushigi Yuugi, Flame of Recca, Chrno Crusade, Escaflowne, Inu Yasha...

If you can tell me any other PLEASE DO SO!!

El Cazador

The second and the third in the Bee Train's Girls with Guns trilogy. I would gladly include Noir, since it seems to be the best in the series (well, we'll have to see how El Cazador progresses, but I highly doubt it'll pass Noir), but both girls can perfectly protect themselves, so...

Anyway, Madlax and El Cazador fit perfectly under the "protect the girl type of anime" banner.

Oh, I forgot to mention. It's not "boy protects girl", but "girl protects girl". Anyway.

I second Scrapped Princess ~ it is nice and does have a good plot and storyline....
Kenshin ~ specially the OVA is nice.... (Prequel)

Tsubasa Chronicles ~ All about to protect the princess and restore her memory...
Last Exile ~ (not exactly romance) protect the girl to renew the world...
Fate Stay/Night ~ The boy want's to protect the girl but he is weaker than her
Shakugan no Shana ~ hmmm kinda opposite
Bleach ~ speficifically the SS arc....
Full Metal Panic --> Fumoffu --> The Second Raid ~ a mecha/romance/comedy(fumoffu) anime....

for me its not similar with fushigi yuugi although it also use the same concept about 4 Gods.

Flame of Recca's animation is pretty bad and the plot kind of sucks. Its like a copy of yu yu hakusho

The problem with Flame of Recca's anime is that they only animating the first half. The second half of the story is what really make Flame of Recca's great.
