Morning Musume
In other words, is it getting more awkward with more members appearing from no where every 3 days? Personaly i think it is. I just watched their latest interview/preformance and i really think they were better off with 5 members rather than 13!!! Seriously, when the guy was interviewing them, only 3 out of the 13 girls got to talk, and i also got to comment on their voices. I lost track of who is new and who isn't, but somewhere in the song i heard some pritty mediocre voices. What are your opinions on this?

13!!! Wow, I haven't been following them. I still like the older music, but I really don't bother anymore.
I really enjoyed them up to the point where Goto Maki joined, and they made "Love Machine" and the third album (that was 4 years ago). They weren't great, but they were a lot of fun, and you could still hear Abe Natsumi... Now they aren't great and they aren't fun either. The side projects used to be interesting too, but all they have done with those for the past couple years is peddle chibi-cuteness. The music isn't even catchy. |

MM...See the Go Girl! Koi no Victory PV? Or their latest... which I forgot the name... Talk about millions of girls...
Hello! Project has... 49 members I think in total? Aibon and Nono (Ai Kago and Nozomi Tsuji) recently announced their 'Graduation' to form a duo. Nacchi is graduating soon as well. (This summer) With their graduation, three of the more popular MM members will be gone. I dunno if MM will fall after that, but I doubt it. I hope Tsunku won't add any more members though. But I doubt it, especially since that new girl they got in the audition hasn't made her debut. One thing I hope - Rika won't be the leader after Nachhi graduates. Man, I hate her. Of an interesting note - Aibon and Nono broke the Love Machine Curse. (Love Machine Curse - The cd jacket for love Machine had the girls arranged in the order they graduated. I think Mari Yaguchi would've been next... |

The Goto Maki solo work is good, the ones that aren't cutesy anyway. |

I think Morning Musume is becoming more like Johnny Juniors, they are something like the stepping stones for popstar wannabes. They round up all the potential candidates and train them up for showbiz. When each of them matures or gets popular enough, they will "graduate" and go solo.
In short, its a idol & money making scheme. |

TBOZ, you hit Tsunku's words on the dot.
But we all know that Tsunku is a pedophile and just adds more and more to satisfy his addiction. MM is fun to watch on the music variety shows. They're so... goofy. ^^. .... Fine! I admit that MM is a guilty pleasure of mine! And so is SMAP! Kimura Takuya.... *drool* |

Here's another new "spin-off group" from the Morning Musume cast, the duo of Matsuura Aya and Fujimoto Miki called GAM.
And here's one of their music videos, the very sexy (borderline yuri!?) Melodies |
