survival??

Im looking for an anime about survival, adapting to situations,evolving characters(mentally), psychodrama...some good examples would be Jyu oh sei and infinite ryvius, ..the more mature the better i dont like stuff like Uninhabited Planet Survive which is too childish IMO.

you should check out Gantz. the whole stroy line revolves around what your looking for.

Try the manga Parasyte, Highschool of the Dead, and Mirai Nikki (Future Diary).

Anime-wise, Higurashi and maybe Death Note, though I may have I already suggested them to you.

And... Battle Royale. I read the book, and it was decent. I think the manga is supposed to be better, but I wouldn't know.

I agree that Gantz is exactly what you are looking for content-wise, though personally I didn't like it.

You may also want to read the Agatha Christie book "And Then There Were None".

note: I don't consider 'survival' to be what some are listing (for example there's no way I'd tag Canaan or Phantom as survival). I need to add the tag description, but what's tagged as 'survival' on AP is something where a character is forced into a new environment and have to seriously struggle to survive, in a situation out of their control. For example, waking up in a crazy land filled with bugs (Blue Gender), having to kill each other off to survive (Battle Royale manga), etc. The tags could be missing some titles but it was a recent tag addition - manga has a lot, as I've been personally reading a lot of those recently.
