I just started reading this manga a few hours ago and I'm loving it! Six chapters have been released so far and its drawn and written by Azuma Takeshi. Story tells of an almost 50 meter (164 foot) tall girl who was assigned to fight alien monsters who fell in love with a normal boy, kinda like a genderbender of King Kong. I highly recommend this manga!

IMO it's more like Mighty Joe Young

but yeah! its a nice manga

You should! The artwork may not be top notch but its a nice action-comedy-romance manga! ^_^

It's has dark tone too...the girl her self is part of the monster called Category D, which eat people to acquire power. Category D eating habit make so much country try to cover their victims disappearance with fake War. It's lucky that Tsuchii man didn't eaten by his Category D pet (the Dreadnought girl), he just a snack while his army is main dish to her

look like thread starter is part of Mai HIME fans, too bad the manga suck while the anime splendid, except for the re-make (Mai-OTOME) it's suck too

You got that right. I do feel sorry for Mana, The Dreadnought Girl, though...

Even if she's technically monster, she's still pretty much like a normal girl nonetheless. A damn near 50 meter (164 foot) girl that is

From what I know, she is human, but some Category D monster 'help' her by fusing it's self with her so she survive from avalanche that nearly killed her in the past
Even after become Category D creature she herself doesn't want to, and refuse to eat Human for 12 years

Hey, I do know that too!

And yes, she pretty much wants to be like a normal girl despite her enormous size. Its cute that she couldn't accept people saying she's 50 meters tall and points out that she's 49 meters 56 centimeters. Either way, its not far from 50 meters

Since this manga is still ongoing, we're gonna use this thread for its discussions!

hmm...from what I see, she is very concerned about her brother, but show it in very opposite way

She like to hear her own brother scream, but when she see his brother determination to protect Mana and Mana action after that, she somehow feel sad/or jealous?. But it's trouble some when she entering the same school with him, since she have some hidden agenda

Which is why I don't like her!

But since its only the first few chapters, my initial opinion about her might change sooner or later. She kind of reminds me of Kanako Urashima from Love Hina. A girl with hidden agenda is scares me even more so than a 50 meter tall girl. And even then, Mana does not scare me at all. She's just too cute! :3
