BEST anime sword attacks / techniques!

Hello everyone

I'm working on a new anime project. If possible i would like to hear your opinion about anime sword techniques.
Im trying to make a "top 10 anime sword attacks/techniques" list. I have a few nominees already but not enough to complete the list.
So here is my question: What do you think is the BEST anime sword technique out there. If you can give me your favorite, or your top 3 that would be awesome.

As a side not: Anime word techiniques do not include attacks like "getsuga tensho" or similar attacks. Those are more projectiles or blasts rather then sword techinques.

So to start it off i'll give you a few that i think would be fitting for a list like this:

- Kenshin's Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flnirECVH3c , need i say more ...

- Assasins Tsubame Gaeshi (fate stay night): An awesome sword attack used to end a fight instantly leaving almost zero openings and nearly zero chance of failure

These are only two of many choices. Let me know what you think!

Thanks!

THIS. It's not really an attack but it has to be the best animated swordfights ever. No magic involved, either.

Seems pretty interesting. Make sure you post your final list (making it into a compilation video would be so awesome).

I can't really think of any super awesome sword technique, but I guess I'll contribute at least something by saying... Maybe Crona/Ragnarok's Sword style in Soul Eater? A very fluid fighting style with Ragnarok (the sword) kind of guiding Crona (the fighter) and using sonic wavelengths from Ragnarok's mouth to send chills down the opponents back... I'm trying to find a good video showcasing it, but they're all horrible amvs and such.

Edit: I second the post above me. Sword of the Stranger = The bestest.

Off the top of my head:

Trunks killing Cyber-Freiza in DBZ (Also Goku deflecting Trunks Sword with just a SSJ1-finger in the same or next episode )

Samurai Champloo Episode 1's fight between Jin and Mugen...Also Jin's final villain when he fights him and Mugen in the next to last episode...

BLEACH is annoying in many ways, but damn near every character has a sweet Sword release Mode...Byakuya vs. Ichigo is a good place to start...

Blade of the Immortal manga have plentiful of them, so you are in for a long search if you get into it.

To take something from Kenshin, I'd say Saito Hajime's thrust-based style, thrust attacks are too often underrated compared by slice chop and dice techniques. I guess it is not as cool?

And last but not the least, why not try to look at Enishi Yukishiro's chinese japanese hybrid style?

I second Kenshin's Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki. That's probably the most amazing sword attack I've seen in a while now .

There are quite a few interesting ones in Claymore e.g. Quick Sword, Drill Sword.

Zoro's Kyutoryuu: Asura Ichibugin. When's the last time you've seen someone use 9 swords eh?

The one in the Strong World movie was even cooler but I have no video for it.

Depends on your definition of sword.

First of all, the Shooting Star Technique displayed in Shigurui (I couldn't find a video, sorry).

Second, why not Signum (MSLN Strikers) here (first 80 seconds or so)?

Third, since it has to be fairly real, let me pay respect to Tama-chan's Tsuki here(from the beginning)

I also second "sword of the stranger", of course, and we all should remember this fellow here as well... (from 3:00)

Too bad I couldn't include some serious magic attacks though:P
