There's 2 more shows that I have developed an interest in checking out:
Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei - Lots of bloggers have recently been praising the manga in their summer previews, and the humor sounds intriguing enough as it is. I'm interested in seeing how SHAFT will pull this one off. Baccano! - I have a weakness for stories that take place in late nineteenth/early twentieth century America, and the large cast of characters certainly sounds interesting enough. Good chance I'll find at least one character that I like. An anime about the Prohibition Era? So long as it remains at least loosely historical in setting, I'll probably still be interested. That said, School Days is a show that I will most likely be avoiding, since I tend to dislike love triangle stories, plus the male lead will probably make my list of worst anime characters ever. However, I will most certainly be reading up on blogs of this show, just to see if the violent bad endings make it in. ^_^ |

Definitely will watch:
Baccano - looks very unique Zombie Loan - mostly because of the seiyuu Mononoke - since I liked the bakaneko arc Shigurui - weakness against samurais Zero no Tsukaima 2 - since I did watch the 1st season Mushi-uta - looks like another interesting series |

Hmm...so much stuff and only some of it catches my fancy. Let's see...
-Miyori no mori (looks interesting, I like Japanese supernatural lore. Reminds you of something out of 'GeGeGe'.) -Mononoke (Another one. Isn't this by the same studio that was released the Samurai ghost stories? Which has been released here. One of the characters looks very similar. Ok, found out it is. 'Ayakashi - Samurai Horror tales' is the original series. So this would be a spin off. I should check the first series.) -Dokuro-chan 2 (Definitely want some more violent comedy in my life) -Tetsuko's Trip (Seems interesting) As for everything else can't say I'm interested enough to watch as I know nothing or it has not peaked my interest yet. Some of these are like slated for 'August'.

Mononoke - Bakeneko felt like a breath of fresh air.
School Days - Bishoujo eroge sub-genre thingy which is rarely animated, if I've heard right. May be a breath of fresh air in the whole "moe" side of things. Higurashi S2 - Want to finish the story. Baccano: Love historical stuff. LOVE IT.

I've made a long blog post with details about just about all the summer shows, including highlights of staff and cast.
The shows I myself am looking forward to trying are Code E, Doujin Work, Kenko Zenrakei Suieibu Umisho, Moetan, Mononoke, Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei, Tetsuko no Tabi, and Zombie Loan. I say why in the blog post.

Out of the ones on the list, the most anticipated series for me are: Doujin Works, School Days and the remaining two episode of Code Geass. While I would still watch Zero no Tsukaima 2, Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan 2, Nanatsuiro Drops and possibly Sky Girls.

I don't see *anything* that really excites me (guess its good that L*S and Lov*Com bleed over into the next season).
I'll probably give Sky Girls a look (I rather liked the animation style and the feeling of flight they conveyed). And Moe-tan at least gets a cursory look. I'm not really sure what further Dokura-chan can tell... but I may give it a look. The first series had its moments but ended oddly (and I never really thought the grotesque bits and potty humor amounted to much). Code-E might be amusing but the premise has me yawning. Zero no Tsukaima .... though again, not sure what further story there is to tell. This may be a season where I reach for my anime that is languishing on queue in my hard drive.

I looked at anidb's calendar ...
1. These two series look most interesting to me: Tetsuko no Tabi, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei 2. These look less interesting, but it wouldn't surprise me if one or two of them turn out good: Zombie-Loan, Doujin Work, Code-E, Baccano! , Mononoke 3. These look quite retarded to me from what I've read but never say never. I will watch one episode if time allows: Nanatsuiro Drops, Kenko Zenrakei Suieibu Umisho, Mushiuta, Moetan, Potemayo I'm not interested in the rest of the series'. But the ranking doesn't mean anything up to now, really. No battle plan survives contact with the enemy anime. Movies etc. that deserve to be mentioned are Genius Party, Iblard Jikan, Miyori no Mori

Hey, I'm back for a bit. Yeah, I still watch anime (took a Haitus for a while... a year or so, I'd say) but the amount I watch has been DRAMATICALLY decreased. ^^" Good or bad, who knows. I've been stuck to live-action lately.
Here's what I'm planning on checking out. Nanatsuiro Drops Zombie Loan Moetan Mushiuta School Days But I will probably only end up following 2-3 of those. From last season the only thing I bothered with were Lucky Star & El Cazador de la Bruja. Both excellent, in my books. |

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai : I'm in love with the first season and I wanna see Rika-chan, Rena-chan and other killer lolis *drool*. Good thing they started with a recap/speculations arc.
School Days, only if it's as violent as the visual novel, cuz the way it is, it looks life some typical high-school idiotic love-story... Shigurui : Now this is exactly my type of animes, violent, gore, with a solid storyline, tense relationships between the characters, conspiracies, samurais fighting... Can't wait. But... only twlve episodes ? Everything else just seems dull and unintersting. In recent times, we have crappy animes, really... |
