Before, I didn't want to watch it since I hated the possibility of the ending where they will both die. I didn't like the fact that the ending is already known before I even start watching. But after I started watching, I so hope they both die. I'm not sadistic or anything, I think. It's just that Romeo & Juliet play is a tragic love story. After watching some episodes, I want it to be that way too even for an anime.

I guess I'm like that guy in Naruto. Art is only beautiful because it's a fleeting moment. It reaches its peak and withers away. So their love is only beautiful because it's pure and remains pure until the end where they both die.

You will get it, I think Willy will be inspired by this sad love story and make a tale out of it.

It's been wonderful to return again to this series after some hiatus, though I'm afraid that following fansub releases to Romeo x Juliet I will have to wait an uncertain time to finish the whole series since next week Romeo x Juliet ends at episode 24.

*Sigh*

But enough of my sad mood.

Episode 20 sprung the beginning of the last arc, and the important twist that was told to Juliet at the end fits into the storyline.

I apologize for the double post, but it seems that I postED too soon about not catching up with the subs releases before the wake of the last episode that airs on next week.

Special thanks to Umai fansubs for delivering fansubbed episode 21 on today.

Like in the previous episode I have small complaints about the sketching and drawing of the characters for the animation, but overall the animation quality was impressive on this one.
The texture and lighting seemed movie quality.

It starts with the same stage at the Capulet's family tombstone where Juliet is paid a visit by Ophelia, who the later tells her that the time has come for the girl to offer her life to Escalus since the tree desires her.

Ophelia's voice while reciting the last verses sounded as she was lamenting.

And finally, I cannot longer bear to see Monta-..., no Liartes's face. The bastard has gone insane, and someone out there has to put him out of his misery before Neo Verona is imposed the fruit of his sins.
I was burning witnessing how Romeo struggled at holding back so as not trying to beat out cold the man he used to call father.

Romeo is a jerk. You should had punched the bastard, but I guess I can have comfort with Romeo bitch-slapping Mercutio to bring that spoiled brat sense on him again, though it is meaningless.

Next, the conclusion with Cordelia and Benvolio finishing nicely with both tying the knot of marriage. In the previous episode, Benvolio suffered a dramatic growth since last time. He learned to be self-reliant, dependable, and resourceful.

It was a matter of time that those two would eventually fall for each other given the circumstances of their pairing, and some episodes later up to this one here you have them already married.

Cordelia made a fine job in turning Benvolio into a passionate, proactive house man.

All that is left now is the climax to the end of the revolution that shall put an end to Liartes forever, as Juliet and Tybalt from their respective sides ready for a final confrontation. Then, when the rebellion triumphs with victory Juliet would have to make the ultimate sacrifice at surrendering her life to Escalus for the sake of the people of Neo Verona.

But let us remember Wily's crafty words of wisdom. Two lovers who blaze with life at their determination to stay together to which they plan to go against their fate and death to make it happen.

Romeo will find out about that's certain, but would he have the strength to dissuade Juliet from that future path to search for another alternative?

So next week is do or die with episode 24 being the end of the road. Im not really sure whats going to go down in the final episode but it doesnt look too good for our New historical couple.

Why does Juliet always have to insist on death. :\ I'm gonna expect a sad ending just so I'm not disappointed. __________________ Just some old fart passing by in the wind.

It seems like Juliet alone will become the new Excalus, I would rather they let Romeo and Juliet both become new trees to support Neo-Verona, that way the balance will be restored. Spoiler: Montague's hatred toward the Capulets, and his excessive tyranny over the land accelerated Escalus decay. I presume it started way back 14 years ago when Montague murdered the whole Capulet household (save for Juliet who was helped at escaping) and took the seat by force to which his actions inflicted disharmony into Escalus. In just short 14-years-ago most of Neo Verona became an unbearable land to live under Montague's siege. Montague's hatred and negligence leaked into Escalus provoking the tree to agonize and has started its death. According to Ophelia back at episode 14, Escalus's seed was planted within Juliet, and she must realize the importance to accept her role as Escalus's vessel to pour prosperity and vitality onto the land, but I suspect that by doing so she'll have to sacrifice herself to Escalus in order to save the entire Neo Verona. Old man already explained that has been predestined for Juliet to accept her role, but if Romeo must interfere in order to pull back that fate then he too must carry the burden. What those children would be carrying is not only Escalus' laments, but the sins of humanity as well for what men did to Escalus's twin. I have begun to speculate that the most likely scenario is that Romeo and Juliet not only are they going to die with each other for Neo Verona's sake, but their respective sacrifices will make two twin trees to bloom again to return wealth and abundance to Neo Verona.

Even if Juliet sacrifices her self to become the next great tree its only a quick fix as from what iv gathered Neo Verona was originally suppose to be supported by 2 trees not just one. So even if Juliet becomes the next tree it would only be a fix for a while and after her there are no more capulets to assume the role. I would either like to see Juliet and Romeo become trees to support Neo Verona as they have always wanted. Or some other possibility comes along that will save Neo Verona and allow them to be together. I am expecting a tragic ending that way if it happens i wont be too sad and if it doesnt i will be over joyed. Still i cant help but to believe that all of this is some type of test for Juliet and Romeo __________________
