I know there's bound to be discrepancies and such, so if you find any please let me know. Sometimes I can feel that something isn't right with what I write () but I can seem to pinpoint it.

What I've realize after editing multiple times is that I can't seem to write or structure conversations very well. Any tips? *waits for the boos and cheers, hoping to get more of the latter*

It was a fun read, especially the Tesla bits. As others have said, it is more of an introduction than a chapter. Waiting for more!

No, its not the length, but the content. You did not show any new content (that is, your OCs) so the chapter feels like an introduction, a set up for what is to come. And as said, that's not bad at all.

“That ends my report for today, Knight Carim,” a voice sounded over the projection before a golden-haired lady. “I hope that is helpful.”

“Yes, it is,” the lady nodded her agreement. She smiled. “Good work, and thank you.” The person in the projection, a middle-aged officer, bowed slightly, and the projection disappeared.

Carim Gracia rose for her seat behind the well-made wooden desk, and removed the curtains so that sunlight filtered into the office. It was spring, and dawn came early, even though it was only seven in the morning. Most people would still be asleep now, but not her. She always woke up at six o’clock, a routine that had become habitual. In any case, she was the leader of the Saint Church, and rest was a luxury to people of her position.

The sun peeked over the distance, sending golden hues against the lightening sky. It was a beautiful day, where flowers were blooming in earnest, the winds were warm, and most of all, peaceful.

No, she corrected herself. Peace, among all others, is absent. She frowned: something about the report made earlier by one of her officers troubled her.

She returned to her working desk, whereupon she found herself a stack of card-like paper that was crackling at the edges, bound by a simple white ribbon. This was the manifestation of her Ancient Belkan power. Unlike most mages, her power could not be used for battles. However, it was still an important—and powerful—one on its own terms: it allowed the prediction of a future every year. Vague as they were, the predictions were all but accurate, having been able to foretell the coming of a future that had already passed. Now, another future awaited them, cloaked in mystery and darkness.

She took the stack, and rose. As she walked to the middle of the office room, she prayed: Hopefully, this year would be less hectic or dangerous than the last. She unraveled the ribbon binding the stack, and released them. Surprisingly, instead of falling to the floor, one by one, the individual pieces separated and began to surround her in a slow circle. “Profeitin Shrifti,” she murmured.

Immediately, the pieces began to glow. For a moment, nothing seemed to happen. Then, several pieces detached from the circle and flew to her front. Where once was a blank paper, there were inscriptions now, written in Ancient Belkan runes. Not many were been able to read that particular language anymore, but it was not a problem for Carim. She read the four pieces of prophecy arranged before her.

And she uttered a low gasp, her eyes bulging in disbelief. T-this … cannot be! For the first time in her life, Carim felt a terrible coldness gripped her. A bead of sweat dropped unbidden from her fair face. Even when she had read the prophecy five years ago on the Scaglietti incident, she had not felt this way. It seemed that her worst fear had been confirmed.

There is no helping it, she told herself, clenching her fist to stymy the fear. I must prepare immediately. She opened her hand, and the pieces of prophecies returned to her hand in a neat stack. She bound them together with the ribbon, and returned to her desk. With systematic calmness, she took a blank paper and began writing what she planned to do. Each letter, however, seemed to be excruciatingly long, and the tension since the revelation returned with a disturbing alacrity. Then, she called her personal assistant via a hologram.

“Sister Schach.” Her voice was particularly sharp such that it surprised even herself.

“Yes, Knight Carim? How may I help you?” came the polite reply. Having served Carim Gracia for several years now, Schach Nouera knew that her mistress was serious by her demeanors and tone of voice, thus she also skipped the pleasantries. Like Carim herself, she was also an early bird, with many duties awaiting to be done.

“Please arrange a meeting with Admiral Harlaown immediately. Also, if possible, contact the Heads of the Special Investigations and Enforcer units and ask them if they would be able to attend. This is important.”

“As you wish, Knight Carim,” the sister said.

“Thank you,” Carim replied. Then, she seemed to remember something and added, “Oh, and I’m sorry about this. Good morning, Sister Schach.” She smiled faintly.

“It’s all right, Knight Carim. And good morning to you, too,” Schach smiled. “Anyway, I will see to your orders now.” Carim nodded, and the projection ended.

The smile on Carim's lips vanished, and her thoughts returned unbidden into the turbulent abyss.

[Unknown Location] [January 16th, MC 076] [1312 hours]

Three people were seated in a luxurious room that was draped in such a way it was covered in semi-darkness. Sunlight could hardly filter in through the thick velvety curtains. A single source of light illuminated the room, coming from an expensive-looking table-lamp. There was a heavy silence in the room, all three apparently in deep thought.

“Are you sure this is all right, Grandia?” a woman’s voice broke the silence, a gentle sound reminiscence of the gurgle of water. The person she was addressing—a handsome man with shoulder-length hair the color of vibrant autumn—did not answer, but merely nodded. He had a distant look on his expression.

“What are you so worried about, Sharazad?” another voice spoke, this one akin to a small girl’s. “After all, the Jewel is found just as the Magi have said, no?”

“I know, Vestrell,” the woman named Sharazad replied. “It’s just that, this is a crime, no matter how you look at it. Even if our reasons were justified, breaking into a building and stealing is wrong.” Sharazad, a beautiful lady with a regal air and lustrous, wavy long hair, appeared flustered, and she seemed troubled.

Vestrell shrugged. “We only do what we are supposed to do. The Magi say that we need only to gather the Jewels together. It’s not like we’re killing or burning anything, are we?” Vestrell then smiled mischievously. “Or are you afraid?”

Sharazad’s face hardened. “Of course not! I understand the purpose we have in this, but it is still wrong. Is there no other approach that we can take? Also, it’s not like the law enforcement officers in this planet would sit back and watch as we ‘borrow’ the Tomes.”

The man called Grandia responded this time, his voice tight. “That’s enough, Sharazad. Our mission is very important that we cannot simply abandon it just because it’s breaking the law. We are not bound to it in the first place. You know as much as I do that these people would not simply lend the Tomes to us even if we asked, or they would not have placed such high security to protect them. As long as we do not hurt anyone, then it’s all right.”

“But, if they were to put up resistance?” Sharazad questioned. Grandia did not reply.

“Then, we fight them, of course!” Vestrell replied excitedly. Sharazad frowned at her, but did not comment. Silence returned to the room.

The door to the room opened suddenly, and a tall, lean man entered. “Trystahn!” Vestrell cried in delight. “Have you gotten our next assignment?” He nodded.

Upon hearing that, Grandia rose, and said, “Then, let’s go.” Sharazad seemed reluctant, but followed without question. Grandia, after all, was their leader; the Magi gave him absolute command.

Vestrell was laughing happily, the prospect of being able to fight still lingering in her head, as they proceeded out the room, and the door was closed.

[Saint Church, Head’s Office] [January 16th, MC 081] [1722 hours]

Carim was seated behind her desk, reading a document without actually registering it, when a projection started in front of her. It was Schach.

“Knight Carim,” she addressed.

“Yes, Sister Schach?” she said rather urgently. She had been trying to put away the morning’s incident from her mind, but it had lodged on like an insidious parasite, gnawing at the edges of her thoughts. “Do you bring news?”

“Yes, Knight Carim. I have followed your orders this morning, and made an arrangement for a meeting with the Admiral. He has agreed to have it on the 18th, at 0900 hours. He suggested it to be here before rushing off. Apparently, he is busy investigating something. As for the heads of the other two units, I have tried to contact them all day, but they are not around. I’ve placed a message with their officers to inform them of the meeting,” Schach said at length.

“I understand,” Carim replied. “Thank you, Sister Schach. I appreciate the hard work.”

“No problem,” Schach said. “If there are no other orders, I will attend to other duties now.”

“Yes, that will be all. Thanks again.” Schach smiled, and the projection closed. Carim's expression became grim. There was a mixture of desperation and anxiety in her face.

Profeitin Shrifti did not give a prediction this time, she thought bitterly.

She closed her eyes, trying to drink in the calming darkness, letting her mind settle slightly. However, her hands refused to obey, and they shivered despite the warmth of spring that permeated even into the room.

It gives a warning.

So, that's it for now. Although not as thrilling as it should be, I hope it's satisfying.

Well, just finished writting the last part of chapter 18, so here goes!

Spoiler for Resolve - Part 4:

As Koji talked to Cinque, Maren opened a holodisplay, "Enforcer Fate, this is Enforcer Maren."
[Yes...Maren? Why do you-] Fate blinked as she saw her with her fox ears.
"It's a bit of a long story..." She paused, "But I'm informing that we've secured two Sentoukijin."
[The same here, Scaglietti has also been apprehended. Investigator Acous and Sister Schach each captured one as well.] Fate reported.
"Then, we are to meet at the entrance?" Maren asked.
[You go on ahead, I still have something to do.] Fate replied.
"Understood, we'll be going then." Saying that, Maren closed the display.

As Maren turned around, she saw Koji kneeled as he looked at Cinque trying to get up.
"Is something wrong?" Maren asked.
"Well..." Koji turned to Maren.
"M-My legs are numb...I can't move them." She treid to get up again.

"It must have been from the battle." Koji said worried.
Treize looked at Cinque, "Onee-san..."
"Ah..." Cinque looked at her, then put her hand on Treize's head, "I'm okay, don't worry, my legs are just tired." She smiled.
"un..."Treize nodded.

Seeing that, Koji nodded to himself and turned his back to Cinque, "Here, I'll carry you."
"Eh? But..." She hesitated.
"Just do it." Koji insisted.
Cinque blinked."O-okay..."
Without anyone telling her, Treize helped Cinque climb Koji's back.
"Thanks." Cinque said, Treize replied with a nod.

Getting up, Koji turned to Maren, "What did Fate-senpai say?" He started walking.
"Enforcer Fate said that we go first, she still has matters to attend to." Maren followed him.
"ano..." Koji paused. "Fate-senpai saw you, didn't she?"
"Yes..." She nodded.
Koji sighed, "It't can't be helped..."
----------------------------

The group walks down the hall, passing by remains of Drones that were destroyed before meeting Treize and Cinque.
As they returned to the surface, the silence was...disturbing.
"This hallway didn't seem this long when we were fighting Drones..." Koji wondered are he walked with Cinque on his back.
"This is the deepest section of the lab, also the most secure because on going experiences..." Cinque explained.
"So it's isolated from the rest of the lab, in case of an accident." Maren speculated.
"Yes." Cinque confirmed. "Making it the longest route to the exit..." Cinque then remembered. "Wasn't this way supposed to be sealed?"
Koji giggled, "We knocked but no one answered. So we let ourselves in~" He grinned.
"I-I see..." Cinque blinked.

Treize walked at Koji's side, she looked at Maren, who was ahead of them.
She noticed her tails, her head tilted to the side as she blinked, then looked at Cinque...no tails.
And, just to be sure, looked behind her...no tails either.
She looked forward once more, blinked, and quicked her step.
"Treize?" Cinque saw her walk up to Maren.

Then, Treize grabbed one of her tails.
"Kya-!" Maren squealed as she felt her tail being grabbed.
"Eh?" Koji let out as he saw Maren reacting like that.
Maren looked behind her, "A-ano, what are you doing?" a hint of red could be seen on her cheeks.
"...fluffy..." Treize commented as she felt the tail.
"Thank you, but could you let go?" aren asked.

Then, Treize began stroking it.
"Trei..ze...p-please...stop." Maren tried to speak as Treize kept stroking the tail.
(K-kawaii...) Koji stood there watching Maren in that situation.
Since Koji wasn't doing anything to stop it Cinque decided to intervene, "Treize." She called her.
Treize looked at Cinque.
"I think it's better you let go of her tail..." Cinque asked her nicely.

Hearing her Onee-san's request, Treize nodded and stopped fiddling with Maren's tail, letting it go afterwards.
Relieved, Maren panted, "Th-thank you..." She replied with a flushed face.
"M-Maren...are you okay?" Koji asked.
"Yes...I was just surprised." She assured him.
----------------------------

It's been a while since Koji and the others have been walking in that long hall.
"We should be almost there..." Cinque noted.

Then, the ground started shaking and green barriers formed along the hallway.
"What's happening?" Koji looked around.
Cinque immedeatly knew what it was, "Someone must have activated the lab's self-destruction sequence. We better hurry!"
"Che..." Koji sneered, "Maren." He signaled her.
"Yes." Maren nodded, turned to the barrier blocking their path

Pulling back her fist, she charged it with a magical aura, "Barrier..." and punched the barrier, "Break!"
The barrier instantly shattered, Maren turned to them, "Let's go."

They all nodded, Maren went ahead to break any barriers that blocked their path, Treize followed her.
Koji looked behind him, "Cinque-san, hang on tight, it'll be a bumpy ride" He smirked.
"Ah...yes." She nodded and held onto him tigher.

As they ran, the ceiling began to crack and debris started falling.
"Honestly! Why must every single secret lab I go to end up blowing up?" Koji complained as he dodged the falling debris.
Cinque blinked as he complained.
----------------------------

Reaching the exit, Maren and Koji saw Sister Schach and Inspector Acous there, along with several Church Knights and Ground Forces Clerks.
"Good, you're here." Acous said relieved. "I was about to search for you."
Koji looked around, "Where's Fate-senpai?"
"Still inside, trying to stop the lab from exploding." Schach stepped forward.
"We have to go get her-" Koji was then interrupted.
"She said she'll be alright, give her some time." Acous asked him.
"O-okay..." Koji replied.

"More importanly...What of those two?" Acous meant Cinque and Treize.
"Uh...well." Koji hesitated.
"They-" Maren was interrupted by Cinque.
"I was captured by these two, I surrendered after being defeated." Cinque explined.

"And the little miss?" Acout turned to Treize.
"It seems she wasn't involved in any of the incidents..." Maren reported.
"I see...I haven't processed all of the memories I got from their leader, so I don't have information on her yet." Acous confessed.

Then it hit Acous, "Enforcer Maren...that look." Schach nodded.
Maren blinked, "Eh?"
"Ahhh~ Maren, you forgot about changing back." He pointed it out.
"I'm sorry, I'll explain later..." Maren replied.

"Anyway, where can we put these two for now?" Koji asked
"Over there, with the others." Schach stepped out of the way, showing Uno and Sein.
"Treize-chan, follow me." Koji looked down at the young Number.
She nodded and followed him.

As Koji walked up to the other Numbers, Sein raised her head, "Cinque-nee..." Then noticed the girl next to them, "Treize!"
"Onee-san." Treize walked up to Sein.
"Treize, thanks goodness you're okay." Sein was almost crying.
"Onee-san?" Treize blinked.
"It's ok, I'm just happy." Sein smiled.

Uno looked at Koji as he kneeled and gently set Cinque down, next to Treize and Sein.
(This boy...no doubt about it, it's him...) and then saw Cinque cooperating with him.
"Sorry, even though you agreed to cooperate, I'll have to bind your hands." He apologized.
Cinque shook her head, "I understand...I've done my fair share of crimes, I have to be arrested."
Koji nodded and bound her wrists together.

Uno then said, "Cinque, what is the meaning of this?"
Cinque turned to Uno, "It's over Uno, I will no longer follow your's or the Doctor's orders." She said it clearly.
"Are you betraying us?" Uno asked.
"No..." Cinque shook her head, "I'm following my own heart, to protect that which I hold dear."
Cinque looked at Sein and Treize, who were talking, "...for the sake of our younger sisters." and smiled.

As Koji backed off, Maren stepped forward and formally arrested them.
"You are under arrest for cooperating with the Wide-area dimensional criminal, Jail Scaglietti."
"If you recognize your crimes and seek shelter, you will be allowed to start anew."
"You will be given a fair trial and the statement in your defense will be listened to."
"After the trial, you will be sent to a correctional facility accordingly to your crimes, where you shall wait for the verdict."
----------------------------

Not too long after that, Freid landed, with Fate, Erio as well as Scalietti and Number 3 and 7.
Caro, along with Voltaire met up with the group, she ran to them and leapt to Fate's embrace, who hugged Caro and Erio.
Acous, Schach, Koji and Maren smiled at that 'family reunion'.

Maren's eyes met with Voltaire's, he nodded.
"Maren-san?" Caro blinked as she saw her walk up to Voltaire.
Then she and Erio noticed Maren's ears and tails, "Maren-san you have-" But were interrupted by Fate.
"She'll explain later, let her be." Fate smiled at them.
They simply nodded.

Maren looked up at Voltaire and bowed respectfully, (Greetings, Voltaire-sama. Forgive my rudeness, but I'd like to speak in this manner.)
(I understand. You must be the young lady Arkethus spoke of, the Divine Flame.) Voltaire replied
Maren kept her head low, showing respect, (Yes.)
(Raise your head, there's no need for formalities here. Besides, you have been appointed as one of the candidates to Ark's place.) Voltaire commented.
Her eyebrows arched with worry, (I...) She paused, (I'm too young for such a responsibility.)
(That might be true, but time is running short, rumors of Ark's condition are spreading amoung mystical beasts. Soon, every powerful beast will want a chance to claim his place.)

(If I may ask, have there been any news on the attacker that has been killing my kind?) Maren asked.
Voltaire folded his arms, (No...it conceals its aura quite well and flees after an attack, making it hard to locate.)
(I see...) She looks down.
(One thing we know...it targets only those born with the sign of the Golden Crest: golden eyes, the same eyes as Ark and you.)
(That title again...) Maren said to herself, clenching her fist. (Why must I be haunted by it?)
(The others that were killed were most likely trying to protect their friend from the attacker.) Voltaire explained. (So remember, even though you survived, you are still a target.)
(Yes, I'll be careful.) Maren nodded.

(Then, my I ask you a favor?) Voltaire asked.
(O-Of course! Anything.) Maren replied instantly.
Voltaire looked at Caro with Fate and Erio, (When I'm not around, look after my Summoner for me.)
Maren looked at Caro, nodded, and looked abt at Voltaire, (I will.)
(There aren't many humans like her these days...but seeing her, gives me hope.) Voltaire spoke gently.
(Yes...) Maren smiled, (I too have found someone like that...) She looks at Koji, he notices her gaze, and smiles back.
(Then go to his side, young one. Treasure him.) Voltaire said.
(Yes!) She said happily. (Excuse me...) She bowed and ran to them.
(*sigh* Cubs these days...) Voltaire said to himself as he saw her jump into Koji's arms.

"M-Maren? Why are you so suddenly happy?" Koji blinked.
"No reason...no reason at all." She hugged him tighter. (That's right, if I worry, Koji-sama will be worried as well, so...)

Sending Voltaire back, Caro walked to Fate's side.
"I see, everyone is okay, thank goodness." Fate said as she spoke with Shari through holodisplay.
[Yes.] Shari confirmed. [Alto will be there soon to pick you up.]
"Understood, we'll wait then." And Fate closed the display.

Fate turned to Koji, "What was is it that you wanted to talk about?" She asked.
"Yes, as Fate-senpai might know already, excluding Ginga-san, there were twelve known Sentoukijin, yet..."
Koji stepped aside, revealing Maren with Treize next to her. "We met this girl before capturing another Sentoukijin."
"Enforcer Fate has more experience with such cases, so we'd like to know what will be of her." Maren asked.
"I see." Fate approached Treize and bent over, "Hi, I'm Fate. What's your name?" She said gently.
"...Treize." She said calmly.
Fate smiled, "Treize, huh? That's a cute name."

"...Same eyes." Treize said.
"Eh?" Fate blinked.
"Hmm, now that she mentions it, Treize-chan's eyes and Fate-senpai's eyes look alike." Koji noticed.
Fate giggled, "I guess so." She then turned back, "Erio, Caro come here."
They nodded and walked to her, "This is Treize. Treize, these are Erio and Caro." She introduced them.
"I'm Erio Mondial." Erio introduced himself.
"Caro Ru Lushe, and this is Fried." She turned to the small flying dragon, "Kyuu~"
"...Treize." She blinked.
"Let's get along, okay, Trei-chan." Caro smiled.

Treize looked at Erio and Caro, then said, "Same eyes..."
Erio tittered. "Uh...I guess she's right, Caro and I have similar eyes."
"Sisters?" Treize asked.
Erio sweatdropped, "I-I'm a boy..."
Treize tilted her head, "Boy? ...What's that?"
Erio tittered again...

As Caro and Erio spoke to Treize, Koji and Maren talked to Fate about her.
"So, what do you think, Fate-senpai?" Koji asked.
"If she didn't participate in any incident caused by Scaglietti, then there's nothing to worry about."
"Then can we take her with us?" Koji asked. "If something happens I'll take full responsibility!"
"Me too!" Maren joined him.
Fate smiled, "I don't see any problem with it, you have my approval."
Koji and Maren looked at each other.

Then Maren asked, "But her sisters..." Maren noted.
"Yes..." Fate nodded, "The most dangerous ones, along with Scaglietti, will probably be sent to an off-world maximum security prison."
"And what of Cinque-san?" Koji asked.
Fate smiled, "Rest assured, with your statements, she'll stay in the same rehab facility as her younger sisters."

Koji sighed with relief, "Good, then I'll be able to keep my promise to Cinque-san."
"Promise?" Fate blinked.
"Well...All Cinque-san wants is to be with her sisters, so I promised I'd do everything I could to make that happen." He scratched the back of his head.
Fate giggled, "That's so like you."
Koji tittered.
"The heli is here." Maren said, looking at the sky.

As Alto took them to the Arthra, Fate, Caro and Erio rested leaned on each other.
"So...Inspector Acous and Sister Schach will be escorting the captured Sentoukijin and Scaglietti, along with Church Knights and the Ground Forces."
"Yes." Maren nodded. "This incident is over." She sighed with relief, leaning onto Koji's shoulder.
"Tired?" Koji asked.
"A little..." She closed her eyes. "I just feel like staying like this for a while."
"Okay..." Koji replied softly.

Noticing Treize looking at them, Koji called her, "You don't need to sit there alone." He tapped on the free seat next to him.
Treize blinked, got up and walked to him, sitting by his side, then imitating Maren.
Koji tittered inward, "You'll be staying with us for a while your sisters are away, okay?" He asked.
Treize nodded silently.
"It'll be fun, there's lots of interesting people where we are going, I'm sure you'll get along with them...eh?"
As Koji looked down at Treize, she was already sleeping.
He raised an eyebrown as he smiled, "Maybe I too should rest a bit..." and closed his eyes.

The heli flew back to the Arthra, throught that blue sky, that is once more safe for everyone to fly in...

I have not watched the last 2 episodes yet...did Cinque have such change of heart during them? Like, saying "I've done my fair share of crimes, I have to be arrested."? Feels a bit weird...she saying that... However, "...for the sake of our younger sisters." felt quite nice.

It would have been cool of Voltaire called Caro his "Mistress" though.

BTW, I wonder if you have plans to include Erio and Caro in your Koji-adventures? I'm interested in a Koji and Erio friendship. They are both Knights, and Maren and Caro are their respective backups...

Cinque pretty much doesn't apear in the last two episodes, only when they're in jail does she magically re-apear. This makes Flame's scenario a prefectly plausible explanation to just where the hell she was.

Yeah...well, Cinque doesn't show up in epsiode 25, and in 26 is already when they're 'arrested'.
And the crimes thing, well, she one of the older sisters, which prapably mean she's done a lot of missions, and who knows how many people she had to kill to complete her misson's objectives.

As Koji talked to Cinque, Maren opened a holodisplay, "Enforcer Fate, this is Enforcer Maren."
[Yes...Maren? Why do you-] Fate blinked as she saw her with her fox ears.
"It's a bit of a long story..." She paused, "But I'm informing that we've secured two Sentoukijin."
[The same here, Scaglietti has also been apprehended. Investigator Acous and Sister Schach each captured one as well.] Fate reported.
"Then, we are to meet at the entrance?" Maren asked.
[You go on ahead, I still have something to do.] Fate replied.
"Understood, we'll be going then." Saying that, Maren closed the display.

As Maren turned around, she saw Koji kneeled as he looked at Cinque trying to get up.
"Is something wrong?" Maren asked.
"Well..." Koji turned to Maren.
"M-My legs are numb...I can't move them." She treid to get up again.

"It must have been from the battle." Koji said worried.
Treize looked at Cinque, "Onee-san..."
"Ah..." Cinque looked at her, then put her hand on Treize's head, "I'm okay, don't worry, my legs are just tired." She smiled.
"un..."Treize nodded.

Seeing that, Koji nodded to himself and turned his back to Cinque, "Here, I'll carry you."
"Eh? But..." She hesitated.
"Just do it." Koji insisted.

Without anyone telling her, Treize helped Cinque climb Koji's back.
"Thanks." Cinque said, Treize replied with a nod.

Getting up, Koji turned to Maren, "What did Fate-senpai say?" He started walking.

"ano..." Koji paused. "Fate-senpai saw you, didn't she?"

The group walks down the hall, passing by remains of Drones that were destroyed before meeting Treize and Cinque.
As they returned to the surface, the silence was...disturbing.
"This hallway didn't seem this long when we were fighting Drones..." Koji wondered are he walked with Cinque on his back.
"This is the deepest section of the lab, also the most secure because on going experiences..." Cinque explained.
"So it's isolated from the rest of the lab, in case of an accident." Maren speculated.
"Yes." Cinque confirmed. "Making it the longest route to the exit..." Cinque then remembered. "Wasn't this way supposed to be sealed?"
Koji giggled, "We knocked but no one answered. So we let ourselves in~" He grinned.
"I-I see..." Cinque blinked.

Treize walked at Koji's side, she looked at Maren, who was ahead of them.
She noticed her tails, her head tilted to the side as she blinked, then looked at Cinque...no tails.
And, just to be sure, looked behind her...no tails either.
She looked forward once more, blinked, and quicked her step.
"Treize?" Cinque saw her walk up to Maren.

Then, Treize grabbed one of her tails.
"Kya-!" Maren squealed as she felt her tail being grabbed.
"Eh?" Koji let out as he saw Maren reacting like that.
Maren looked behind her, "A-ano, what are you doing?" a hint of red could be seen on her cheeks.
"...fluffy..." Treize commented as she felt the tail.
"Thank you, but could you let go?" aren asked.

Then, Treize began stroking it.
"Trei..ze...p-please...stop." Maren tried to speak as Treize kept stroking the tail.
(K-kawaii...) Koji stood there watching Maren in that situation.
Since Koji wasn't doing anything to stop it Cinque decided to intervene, "Treize." She called her.
Treize looked at Cinque.
"I think it's better you let go of her tail..." Cinque asked her nicely.

Hearing her Onee-san's request, Treize nodded and stopped fiddling with Maren's tail, letting it go afterwards.
Relieved, Maren panted, "Th-thank you..." She replied with a flushed face.
"M-Maren...are you okay?" Koji asked.
"Yes...I was just surprised." She assured him.

It's been a while since Koji and the others have been walking in that long hall.
"We should be almost there..." Cinque noted.

Then, the ground started shaking and green barriers formed along the hallway.
"What's happening?" Koji looked around.
Cinque immedeatly knew what it was, "Someone must have activated the lab's self-destruction sequence. We better hurry!"
"Che..." Koji sneered, "Maren." He signaled her.
"Yes." Maren nodded, turned to the barrier blocking their path

Pulling back her fist, she charged it with a magical aura, "Barrier..." and punched the barrier, "Break!"
The barrier instantly shattered, Maren turned to them, "Let's go."

They all nodded, Maren went ahead to break any barriers that blocked their path, Treize followed her.
Koji looked behind him, "Cinque-san, hang on tight, it'll be a bumpy ride" He smirked.
"Ah...yes." She nodded and held onto him tigher.

As they ran, the ceiling began to crack and debris started falling.
"Honestly! Why must every single secret lab I go to end up blowing up?" Koji complained as he dodged the falling debris.
Cinque blinked as he complained.

Reaching the exit, Maren and Koji saw Sister Schach and Inspector Acous there, along with several Church Knights and Ground Forces Clerks.
"Good, you're here." Acous said relieved. "I was about to search for you."
Koji looked around, "Where's Fate-senpai?"
"Still inside, trying to stop the lab from exploding." Schach stepped forward.
"We have to go get her-" Koji was then interrupted.
"She said she'll be alright, give her some time." Acous asked him.
"O-okay..." Koji replied.

"More importanly...What of those two?" Acous meant Cinque and Treize.
"Uh...well." Koji hesitated.
"They-" Maren was interrupted by Cinque.
"I was captured by these two, I surrendered after being defeated." Cinque explined.

"And the little miss?" Acout turned to Treize.
"It seems she wasn't involved in any of the incidents..." Maren reported.
"I see...I haven't processed all of the memories I got from their leader, so I don't have information on her yet." Acous confessed.

Then it hit Acous, "Enforcer Maren...that look." Schach nodded.
Maren blinked, "Eh?"
"Ahhh~ Maren, you forgot about changing back." He pointed it out.
"I'm sorry, I'll explain later..." Maren replied.

"Anyway, where can we put these two for now?" Koji asked
"Over there, with the others." Schach stepped out of the way, showing Uno and Sein.
"Treize-chan, follow me." Koji looked down at the young Number.
She nodded and followed him.

As Koji walked up to the other Numbers, Sein raised her head, "Cinque-nee..." Then noticed the girl next to them, "Treize!"
"Onee-san." Treize walked up to Sein.
"Treize, thanks goodness you're okay." Sein was almost crying.
"Onee-san?" Treize blinked.
"It's ok, I'm just happy." Sein smiled.

Uno looked at Koji as he kneeled and gently set Cinque down, next to Treize and Sein.
(This boy...no doubt about it, it's him...) and then saw Cinque cooperating with him.
"Sorry, even though you agreed to cooperate, I'll have to bind your hands." He apologized.
Cinque shook her head, "I understand...I've done my fair share of crimes, I have to be arrested."
Koji nodded and bound her wrists together.

Uno then said, "Cinque, what is the meaning of this?"
Cinque turned to Uno, "It's over Uno, I will no longer follow your's or the Doctor's orders." She said it clearly.
"Are you betraying us?" Uno asked.
"No..." Cinque shook her head, "I'm following my own heart, to protect that which I hold dear."
Cinque looked at Sein and Treize, who were talking, "...for the sake of our younger sisters." and smiled.

"You are under arrest for cooperating with the Wide-area dimensional criminal, Jail Scaglietti."
"If you recognize your crimes and seek shelter, you will be allowed to start anew."

"After the trial, you will be sent to a correctional facility accordingly to your crimes, where you shall wait for the verdict."

"So, what do you think, Fate-senpai?" Koji asked.
"If she didn't participate in any incident caused by Scaglietti, then there's nothing to worry about."
"Then can we take her with us?" Koji asked. "If something happens I'll take full responsibility!"
"Me too!" Maren joined him.
Fate smiled, "I don't see any problem with it, you have my approval."
Koji and Maren looked at each other.

Then Maren asked, "But her sisters..." Maren noted.
"Yes..." Fate nodded, "The most dangerous ones, along with Scaglietti, will probably be sent to an off-world maximum security prison."
"And what of Cinque-san?" Koji asked.
Fate smiled, "Rest assured, with your statements, she'll stay in the same rehab facility as her younger sisters."

Koji sighed with relief, "Good, then I'll be able to keep my promise to Cinque-san."
"Promise?" Fate blinked.
"Well...All Cinque-san wants is to be with her sisters, so I promised I'd do everything I could to make that happen." He scratched the back of his head.
Fate giggled, "That's so like you."
Koji tittered.
"The heli is here." Maren said, looking at the sky.

As Alto took them to the Arthra, Fate, Caro and Erio rested leaned on each other.
"So...Inspector Acous and Sister Schach will be escorting the captured Sentoukijin and Scaglietti, along with Church Knights and the Ground Forces."
"Yes." Maren nodded. "This incident is over." She sighed with relief, leaning onto Koji's shoulder.
"Tired?" Koji asked.
"A little..." She closed her eyes. "I just feel like staying like this for a while."
"Okay..." Koji replied softly.

Noticing Treize looking at them, Koji called her, "You don't need to sit there alone." He tapped on the free seat next to him.
Treize blinked, got up and walked to him, sitting by his side, then imitating Maren.
Koji tittered inward, "You'll be staying with us for a while your sisters are away, okay?" He asked.
Treize nodded silently.
"It'll be fun, there's lots of interesting people where we are going, I'm sure you'll get along with them...eh?"
As Koji looked down at Treize, she was already sleeping.
He raised an eyebrown as he smiled, "Maybe I too should rest a bit..." and closed his eyes.

The heli flew back to the Arthra, throught that blue sky, that is once more safe for everyone to fly in...

*cough* My obvious case of denial aside, I finished a little piece of Keroko training the forwards -or in this case, Subaru- I may do Erio, Caro and of course Tiana later.

Subaru was waiting in the training field for her teacher of the day to arive. She was told by Nanoha that she would receive advanced hand-to-hand instructions. When she asked who the one giving her that training would be, all Nanoha had done was smile and say ‘someone with live experience in combat.’

Subaru mulled over what she had meant. It probably meant that whoever would be training her was a veteran of combat. She folded her arms. Both Fate-taicho, Vita-fukutaicho and Signum-fukutaicho were combat veterans, but they used weapons. Shamal-sensei was a support mage, and while she had heard that Zafira had a humanoid form that was an expert in it, Subaru had doubts about the blue wolf’s teaching abilities.

“Ready to begin, Subaru?”

Subaru was jumbled out of her thoughts as her teacher arrived, but it was not whom she expected to see.

“Keroko-taicho?”

Subaru blinked. She knew Keroko-taicho was an Air-Combat instructor, and an expert in multi-target attacks. She even realized that she had to be skilled with the axe she wielded, but she would never have thought her to be a hand-to-hand instructor too.

“Is something wrong?” Keroko asked as she tilted her head at her students confusion.

“Ah, ie, I just didn’t expect Keroko-taicho. I mean, you’re renowned for your dogfighting abilities…”

“Ahh, but that’s the trick. I’m a mid-ranged combatant, especially in the sky that means that one way or another, I will get in melee combat at times. I may not be an expert of Zafira’s level, but I am better then the rest of the unit.”

Subaru blushed in embarrassment at her false assumption. “Su-sumimasen”

“There’s no need to apologize, most Air Force mages make the same assumption as you do, and train less in close range combat. This makes it rather easy to take them out up close. You could beat a lot of high ranked Air Force members yourself if you use your Wing Road effectively.”

Keroko shifted her stance. “But enough about that, let’s start with training. Your first task is to land a hit on me.”

Subaru blinked. Land a hit on her? They had been doing that for weeks now, this would be easy. With a smile, Subaru let her right knuckle roll and started to dash forward. “Ikuyo!”

Keroko remained standing, raising her guard against the approaching Subaru. Subaru prepared to bust through the barrier that would pop up to block her attack, raising her fist, dashing forward-

Only to be completely surprised as Keroko suddenly leaned to the right. Subaru blinked, and completely failed to notice that, although her body was out of Subaru’s path, her left foot had never left its place. Subaru’s legs smashed into the obstacle and she fell forward, going airborne for just a moment. That moment proved enough for Keroko as she shifted her position and slammed a fist downwards straight into Subaru’s back, driving her to the ground.

“Itetete” Subaru groaned as she pushed herself of the ground. Her eyes caught motion out of the corner and she turned just in time to see Keroko’s foot heading towards her stomach. “Eh!?”

Mach Calibur’s interference saved her from a very painful experience, but the blow still launched her up and against a tree. Not having any feet on the ground, Subaru quickly lost her balance and slumped to the ground.

Subaru sat back up in a daze, her mind trying to catch up with what just happened. “Wha- what was that?” she dizzily asked.

“That, is what we are going to train the next few days.” Keroko said as she approached Subaru. "You have the standard ground force self-defense pretty much down, your shooting arts are getting closer to mastery with each day of practice, but you lack one key thing. Experience. You’re used to fighting friendly opponents, those that will wait and nod at your actions. Things won’t go like that out there.”

She reached out a hand to help Subaru back to her feet, Subaru gratefully accepted. “For example.” Keroko yanked her arm backwards, causing Subaru to lose all balance again and tumble forward. At the same time, Keroko’s knee rushed forward, stopping only millimeters away from Subaru’s stomach.

“Lesson number one. When in battle, never lower your guard.”

Subaru regained her senses and began to sputter. “But, but that was-”

“Was what?” Keroko asked gently. “Dirty? Underhanded? Cheating?”

“Well… yes.” Subaru asked, lost as to where Keroko was going.

“I once had an instructor that put me into the same situation. I asked the same question you did; do you know what he told me?” Subaru shook her head.

“He said ‘Tell me, what would happen if you were to fight an enemy mage, and he surrenders. You lower your guard, and he reveals a hidden weapon, killing you. What will you do? Complain that your enemy cheated?’ Of course, I answered no. He then asked me what I would have done. Can you guess my answer?”

Subaru shifted nervously. “Well, nothing, you’d be dead.”

“Exactly. He then asked me what I should have done. Can you take another guess at my answer?”

Subaru raked her brain for possible answers, until it finally settled on one. She didn’t like the answer, but it made the most sense. “To cheat… better then him?”

“That’s right. So for today’s training, I’m going to throw every dirty trick that I can think of at you, and you’re going to block all of them while trying to land a hit on me. Don’t use standard attacks, use the unorthodox. Throw me off balance before I throw you off yours.” Keroko smiled as she slipped into a combat stance. “Think you can do it?”

Subaru smiled as she slipped into a combats stance herself. “Hai!”

Shit storm! Yes, yes why should it matter its still people killing each other, but double standards are part of the real world, deal. Violence is just a part of human nature, it’s existed since the dawn of man, and is often tolerated and even glorified (see endless list of war heroes), but being attracted to little children has always been looked down upon. Is this kind of thing right? Perhaps not, but it’s how the brain seems to be wired.

Pedophilia is as said never acceptable under any conditions as far as 99.9% of society is concerned. You can bemoan how wrong it is that mass murder is more acceptable (and even venerated) when compared to sexual assault or perversion, but that’s just how it is. Also while I don’t like suggestive loli stuff if they’re CLOTHED (fully) I can tolerate and allow it to exist (if look down on anyone that likes it seriously), but the moment the clothing come off I think it ought to be burned and the artist’s tools confiscated.

Also as noted Pedophiles do go out looking for imagery of underage girls as part of their problems in many cases and this just gives them a legal way to indulge in their perversion, and/or let’s them justify these clearly totally unacceptable thoughts. Pedophilia is a real psychological problem and the rampant fantasies and creation of writings and other materials about it are a serious symptom, people with this disorder need psychiatric help before it gets out of hand and they acutally do something, but by rationalizing their deviant thoughts by saying “it’s not real” and such they may well delay seeking help or convince themselves they don’t have a problem. Don’t think that fantasies and reality aren’t connected at some level people tend to like fantasy that appeals to some aspect of their reality. You can learn allot about a person by what they like to read and look at, and people that like to look at drawings of scantily clad or naked little girls are telling me some pretty unflattering things about themselves.

What's laid out above is the sort of guy I really have issues with while I sometimes roll my eyes at people that seem to have some weird obsession over certain fairly tame loli characters if they seem otherwise normal I can put it down to one creepy aspect of them and tolerate it as long as it’s kept in check and not trotted out constantly. The the guys that acutally draw these sorts of characters naked/semi-naked or consume that stuff in a regular basis though… them I have serious concerns about.

The type of images detailed above (soft or hardcore loli pornography) have no redeeming value IMO they aren’t entertaining, or artistic, or sending a message they’re just repugnant and if they serve no useful purpose they ought to be gotten rid of since they’re disgusting.

Well, there is Aspect Magic, a type of magic one of my OC's use and which lore is important for Keroko's background.

Basically you recieve the blessing of one of the five Aspect Dragons, and with it a shard of their essence, greatly enhancing your magic power, but the most powerfull increases depend on the Aspect in question.

It's also a magic style that requires no devices, as the shard of essence serves as enough of a booster as it is.

Seeing that, Koji nodded to himself and turned his back to Cinque, "Here, I'll carry you."

Without anyone telling her, Treize helped Cinque climb Koji's back.
"Thanks." Cinque said, Treize replied with a nod.

Getting up, Koji turned to Maren, "What did Fate-senpai say?" He started walking.
"Enforcer Fate said that we go first, she still has matters to attend to." Maren followed him.
"ano..." Koji paused. "Fate-senpai saw you, didn't she?"
"Yes..." She nodded.
Koji sighed, "It't can't be helped..."

The group walks down the hall, passing by remains of Drones that were destroyed before meeting Treize and Cinque.
As they returned to the surface, the silence was...disturbing.
"This hallway didn't seem this long when we were fighting Drones..." Koji wondered are he walked with Cinque on his back.
"This is the deepest section of the lab, also the most secure because on going experiences..." Cinque explained.
"So it's isolated from the rest of the lab, in case of an accident." Maren speculated.
"Yes." Cinque confirmed. "Making it the longest route to the exit..." Cinque then remembered. "Wasn't this way supposed to be sealed?"
Koji giggled, "We knocked but no one answered. So we let ourselves in~" He grinned.
"I-I see..." Cinque blinked.

Treize walked at Koji's side, she looked at Maren, who was ahead of them.
She noticed her tails, her head tilted to the side as she blinked, then looked at Cinque...no tails.
And, just to be sure, looked behind her...no tails either.
She looked forward once more, blinked, and quicked her step.
"Treize?" Cinque saw her walk up to Maren.

Then, Treize grabbed one of her tails.
"Kya-!" Maren squealed as she felt her tail being grabbed.
"Eh?" Koji let out as he saw Maren reacting like that.
Maren looked behind her, "A-ano, what are you doing?" a hint of red could be seen on her cheeks.
"...fluffy..." Treize commented as she felt the tail.
"Thank you, but could you let go?" aren asked.

Then, Treize began stroking it.
"Trei..ze...p-please...stop." Maren tried to speak as Treize kept stroking the tail.
(K-kawaii...) Koji stood there watching Maren in that situation.
Since Koji wasn't doing anything to stop it Cinque decided to intervene, "Treize." She called her.
Treize looked at Cinque.
"I think it's better you let go of her tail..." Cinque asked her nicely.

Hearing her Onee-san's request, Treize nodded and stopped fiddling with Maren's tail, letting it go afterwards.
Relieved, Maren panted, "Th-thank you..." She replied with a flushed face.
"M-Maren...are you okay?" Koji asked.
"Yes...I was just surprised." She assured him.
----------------------------

It's been a while since Koji and the others have been walking in that long hall.
"We should be almost there..." Cinque noted.

Then, the ground started shaking and green barriers formed along the hallway.
"What's happening?" Koji looked around.
Cinque immedeatly knew what it was, "Someone must have activated the lab's self-destruction sequence. We better hurry!"
"Che..." Koji sneered, "Maren." He signaled her.
"Yes." Maren nodded, turned to the barrier blocking their path

Pulling back her fist, she charged it with a magical aura, "Barrier..." and punched the barrier, "Break!"
The barrier instantly shattered, Maren turned to them, "Let's go."

They all nodded, Maren went ahead to break any barriers that blocked their path, Treize followed her.
Koji looked behind him, "Cinque-san, hang on tight, it'll be a bumpy ride" He smirked.
"Ah...yes." She nodded and held onto him tigher.

As they ran, the ceiling began to crack and debris started falling.
"Honestly! Why must every single secret lab I go to end up blowing up?" Koji complained as he dodged the falling debris.
Cinque blinked as he complained.

Reaching the exit, Maren and Koji saw Sister Schach and Inspector Acous there, along with several Church Knights and Ground Forces Clerks.
"Good, you're here." Acous said relieved. "I was about to search for you."
Koji looked around, "Where's Fate-senpai?"
"Still inside, trying to stop the lab from exploding." Schach stepped forward.
"We have to go get her-" Koji was then interrupted.
"She said she'll be alright, give her some time." Acous asked him.
"O-okay..." Koji replied.

"More importanly...What of those two?" Acous meant Cinque and Treize.
"Uh...well." Koji hesitated.
"They-" Maren was interrupted by Cinque.
"I was captured by these two, I surrendered after being defeated." Cinque explined.

"And the little miss?" Acout turned to Treize.
"It seems she wasn't involved in any of the incidents..." Maren reported.
"I see...I haven't processed all of the memories I got from their leader, so I don't have information on her yet." Acous confessed.

Then it hit Acous, "Enforcer Maren...that look." Schach nodded.
Maren blinked, "Eh?"
"Ahhh~ Maren, you forgot about changing back." He pointed it out.
"I'm sorry, I'll explain later..." Maren replied.

"Anyway, where can we put these two for now?" Koji asked
"Over there, with the others." Schach stepped out of the way, showing Uno and Sein.
"Treize-chan, follow me." Koji looked down at the young Number.
She nodded and followed him.

As Koji walked up to the other Numbers, Sein raised her head, "Cinque-nee..." Then noticed the girl next to them, "Treize!"
"Onee-san." Treize walked up to Sein.
"Treize, thanks goodness you're okay." Sein was almost crying.
"Onee-san?" Treize blinked.
"It's ok, I'm just happy." Sein smiled.

Uno looked at Koji as he kneeled and gently set Cinque down, next to Treize and Sein.
(This boy...no doubt about it, it's him...) and then saw Cinque cooperating with him.
"Sorry, even though you agreed to cooperate, I'll have to bind your hands." He apologized.
Cinque shook her head, "I understand...I've done my fair share of crimes, I have to be arrested."
Koji nodded and bound her wrists together.

Uno then said, "Cinque, what is the meaning of this?"
Cinque turned to Uno, "It's over Uno, I will no longer follow your's or the Doctor's orders." She said it clearly.
"Are you betraying us?" Uno asked.
"No..." Cinque shook her head, "I'm following my own heart, to protect that which I hold dear."
Cinque looked at Sein and Treize, who were talking, "...for the sake of our younger sisters." and smiled.

As Koji backed off, Maren stepped forward and formally arrested them.
"You are under arrest for cooperating with the Wide-area dimensional criminal, Jail Scaglietti."
"If you recognize your crimes and seek shelter, you will be allowed to start anew."
"You will be given a fair trial and the statement in your defense will be listened to."
"After the trial, you will be sent to a correctional facility accordingly to your crimes, where you shall wait for the verdict."

Not too long after that, Freid landed, with Fate, Erio as well as Scalietti and Number 3 and 7.
Caro, along with Voltaire met up with the group, she ran to them and leapt to Fate's embrace, who hugged Caro and Erio.
Acous, Schach, Koji and Maren smiled at that 'family reunion'.

Maren's eyes met with Voltaire's, he nodded.
"Maren-san?" Caro blinked as she saw her walk up to Voltaire.
Then she and Erio noticed Maren's ears and tails, "Maren-san you have-" But were interrupted by Fate.
"She'll explain later, let her be." Fate smiled at them.
They simply nodded.

Maren looked up at Voltaire and bowed respectfully, (Greetings, Voltaire-sama. Forgive my rudeness, but I'd like to speak in this manner.)
(I understand. You must be the young lady Arkethus spoke of, the Divine Flame.) Voltaire replied
Maren kept her head low, showing respect, (Yes.)
(Raise your head, there's no need for formalities here. Besides, you have been appointed as one of the candidates to Ark's place.) Voltaire commented.
Her eyebrows arched with worry, (I...) She paused, (I'm too young for such a responsibility.)
(That might be true, but time is running short, rumors of Ark's condition are spreading amoung mystical beasts. Soon, every powerful beast will want a chance to claim his place.)

(If I may ask, have there been any news on the attacker that has been killing my kind?) Maren asked.
Voltaire folded his arms, (No...it conceals its aura quite well and flees after an attack, making it hard to locate.)
(I see...) She looks down.
(One thing we know...it targets only those born with the sign of the Golden Crest: golden eyes, the same eyes as Ark and you.)
(That title again...) Maren said to herself, clenching her fist. (Why must I be haunted by it?)
(The others that were killed were most likely trying to protect their friend from the attacker.) Voltaire explained. (So remember, even though you survived, you are still a target.)

(Then, my I ask you a favor?) Voltaire asked.

(Yes...) Maren smiled, (I too have found someone like that...) She looks at Koji, he notices her gaze, and smiles back.
(Then go to his side, young one. Treasure him.) Voltaire said.
(Yes!) She said happily. (Excuse me...) She bowed and ran to them.
(*sigh* Cubs these days...) Voltaire said to himself as he saw her jump into Koji's arms.

"M-Maren? Why are you so suddenly happy?" Koji blinked.
"No reason...no reason at all." She hugged him tighter. (That's right, if I worry, Koji-sama will be worried as well, so...)

Sending Voltaire back, Caro walked to Fate's side.
"I see, everyone is okay, thank goodness." Fate said as she spoke with Shari through holodisplay.
[Yes.] Shari confirmed. [Alto will be there soon to pick you up.]
"Understood, we'll wait then." And Fate closed the display.

Fate turned to Koji, "What was is it that you wanted to talk about?" She asked.
"Yes, as Fate-senpai might know already, excluding Ginga-san, there were twelve known Sentoukijin, yet..."
Koji stepped aside, revealing Maren with Treize next to her. "We met this girl before capturing another Sentoukijin."
"Enforcer Fate has more experience with such cases, so we'd like to know what will be of her." Maren asked.
"I see." Fate approached Treize and bent over, "Hi, I'm Fate. What's your name?" She said gently.
"...Treize." She said calmly.
Fate smiled, "Treize, huh? That's a cute name."

"...Same eyes." Treize said.
"Eh?" Fate blinked.
"Hmm, now that she mentions it, Treize-chan's eyes and Fate-senpai's eyes look alike." Koji noticed.
Fate giggled, "I guess so." She then turned back, "Erio, Caro come here."
They nodded and walked to her, "This is Treize. Treize, these are Erio and Caro." She introduced them.
"I'm Erio Mondial." Erio introduced himself.
"Caro Ru Lushe, and this is Fried." She turned to the small flying dragon, "Kyuu~"
"...Treize." She blinked.
"Let's get along, okay, Trei-chan." Caro smiled.

Treize looked at Erio and Caro, then said, "Same eyes..."
Erio tittered. "Uh...I guess she's right, Caro and I have similar eyes."
"Sisters?" Treize asked.
Erio sweatdropped, "I-I'm a boy..."
Treize tilted her head, "Boy? ...What's that?"
Erio tittered again...

As Caro and Erio spoke to Treize, Koji and Maren talked to Fate about her.
"So, what do you think, Fate-senpai?" Koji asked.
"If she didn't participate in any incident caused by Scaglietti, then there's nothing to worry about."
"Then can we take her with us?" Koji asked. "If something happens I'll take full responsibility!"
"Me too!" Maren joined him.
Fate smiled, "I don't see any problem with it, you have my approval."
Koji and Maren looked at each other.

Then Maren asked, "But her sisters..." Maren noted.
"Yes..." Fate nodded, "The most dangerous ones, along with Scaglietti, will probably be sent to an off-world maximum security prison."
"And what of Cinque-san?" Koji asked.
Fate smiled, "Rest assured, with your statements, she'll stay in the same rehab facility as her younger sisters."

Koji sighed with relief, "Good, then I'll be able to keep my promise to Cinque-san."
"Promise?" Fate blinked.
"Well...All Cinque-san wants is to be with her sisters, so I promised I'd do everything I could to make that happen." He scratched the back of his head.
Fate giggled, "That's so like you."
Koji tittered.
"The heli is here." Maren said, looking at the sky.

As Alto took them to the Arthra, Fate, Caro and Erio rested leaned on each other.
"So...Inspector Acous and Sister Schach will be escorting the captured Sentoukijin and Scaglietti, along with Church Knights and the Ground Forces."
"Yes." Maren nodded. "This incident is over." She sighed with relief, leaning onto Koji's shoulder.
"Tired?" Koji asked.
"A little..." She closed her eyes. "I just feel like staying like this for a while."
"Okay..." Koji replied softly.

Noticing Treize looking at them, Koji called her, "You don't need to sit there alone." He tapped on the free seat next to him.
Treize blinked, got up and walked to him, sitting by his side, then imitating Maren.
Koji tittered inward, "You'll be staying with us for a while your sisters are away, okay?" He asked.
Treize nodded silently.
"It'll be fun, there's lots of interesting people where we are going, I'm sure you'll get along with them...eh?"
As Koji looked down at Treize, she was already sleeping.
He raised an eyebrown as he smiled, "Maybe I too should rest a bit..." and closed his eyes.

The heli flew back to the Arthra, throught that blue sky, that is once more safe for everyone to fly in...

Back on the Asura, Shari jolted forward in her seat out of shock, staring at the small monitor in front of her in awe.

"H...His device! It's..."

She leaned forward, examining the screen.

"Morphing!"

Indeed it was- Fawkes was undergoing a transformation as V prepared himself. The blade rotated once, and both sides of the front end of the spear folded outwards, giving the weapon a T-shape. V was still speaking to Hayate.

"Power lies within all of us, Yagami- but it is only in times of desperate need that it shines through!"

At this, something materialized at the front end of the shaft, where the spearhead once was, between the folded-out blades. It was a cannon, and it began to glow dimly, accompanied by a low-pitched hum that increased in tone by the second.

"Not too long ago, I had doubts- I thought that the road I chose could never be traveled. I was worried, afraid of stumbling blocks- but through the years, I have learned that..." He paused, and smirked at the commander through the screen. "Anything is possible- because of beliefs! Tested through time, we have held fast, and it was courage that delivered us here!"

The cannon was far more luminous by now, and the hum had become a high-pitched whine.

"So a message for the future- cast aside your logic and leave reason behind, for with spirit alone...one can achieve ever so much in this world, and you and the others have proven that!"

With a loud burst, the engines at the rear of the spearhead sputtered into life.

"Because your spirit, and your will, invincible, impervious and driven by courage....will be that which PIERCES THE HEAVENS!"

Hayate and the others were almost at a loss for words. "V..."

V pointed his armament at the floor, and exclaimed: "So I depart- but never this sacrifice burden you! Never let the disappearance of this man impede your thoughts, your actions- always move on, never look back! Believe in me...who believes in you."

This made the crew stiffen and look at the communication screen in disbelief. "V!"

Fawkes suddenly ejected a multitude of cartridges, all landing in a pile on the floor beside the man.

"November..."

"V! Wait! Y-Yamete!"

The bloodied, black-garmented man didn't stop, a knowing smile evidently visible on his face.

"5th..."

"V!"

The cannon lit up like a beacon, the light illuminating the room V was standing in, and he let out a final cry, victorious, triumphant:

"BREAKER!!"

...I may have gone a tad loony with the font sizes. And, I might have to edit this...but, tell me what y'all think nonetheless.

With a mechanical feminine voice, a barrage of pink energy blast was formed surrounding the core of Raising Heart, as Nanoha’s form danced in the air, evading blast from several automated weapon installations that was presumably hijacked from the hangar, and as she raises Raising Heart to the air, and gestured a drop...

The surrounding orbs of light flew to all directions followed by the explosion of light.

She felt something amiss in the air, as she had seen little movement from actual people other than weapon installations, but soon, she saw something standing atop a building rooftop.

The form of a person, standing in the middle of an organizational panel of screens.

[Target locked on. Presumed to be commander.]

Nanoha felt the same. One of the things she learned through the officer course. Dictation of enemy lines... flying from the side, she channeled her magic as she stood from the air, pointing Raising Heart to the presumed enemy commander.

She looked closer as she saw a man wearing a mask, and a google covering his face and eyes...

A chill ran up her back. She didn’t know what it was... even though she felt a magic presence so miniscule from him it could almost be disregarded, even though Raising Heart was pointed to him, even though she had superiority from the air...

From the sky, with her device pointed, she shouted with authority. “ Don’t move! Under the 7th Interdimensional Criminal Law and the act of hostility against a military officer and theft of military equipment, you are under arrest.”

[Movement is not allowed. Shoot if not obeyed.]

That man did not move. Nanoha slowly dropped down, as she stood on even ground pointing the device from his back, as he overlooks the surroundings from the roof. He raised his hands upwards, as Nanoha sighed a small breath of relief, as she raised her free arm to intend to restrain him... he turned around.

He smirked, as he only spoke...”Fool.”

He leaned backwards.

“Don’t move!”

Those words were useless, as with a step backwards, that man dropped from the roof of the building. Nanoha quickly reacted as she tried to chase him, as she ran to the edge where he dropped, her face and eyes looking down.

“!!”

A swish, as Nanoha’s cheek was suddenly cut as she quickly evaded a sharp knife attack, from the attacker whom was hanging to the wall of building with a rope chained to the wall. Taken aback, Nanoha once again tried to attack, but a second attack occured as the knife was thrown, this time attached to small explosives on its holder. It was about to hit Nanoha, just as a sound resonated.

[Protection.]

Raising Heart saved Nanoha from the sudden sneak attack by the knife, the small meager explosion did not harm her shielding, but the result was far from good.

That man had already escaped Nanoha, and had ran inside the building.

Nanoha quickly opened a communication line to Keroko.

“Keroko, are you alright?”

“I’ve intercepted a few non-manned installations. Reaching the target point in 3 minutes. Anything wrong, onee-chan?”

“I met the presumed enemy commander. I tried to capture him, but he was skilled. Taking into account I would try to capture without shooting, he managed to get away, as well as injuring me slightly while hanging on a cord. It would had been worse without Raising Heart. Keroko-chan, be on your guard. The enemy’s well-trained.”

“I can back you up if it’s dangerous.”

“Don’t worry. It’s only one enemy, and from his response, he’s probably not a mage. But I’ll be careful.”

“...Alright. Don’t push yourself.”

“Likewise.”

Ending that communication, Nanoha quickly ran down the stairs as she started flying afloat inside the corridors of the building... It was an abandoned building, with hallways all alike, and dangerous places threatened to fall. It was an unknown terrain to Nanoha, not knowing its layout and the lack of experience in close-quarters.

Nanoha continued her pace, as she scoured around the building trying to look around, but Raising Heart and herself not sensing anything. Nanoha felt worried, as she lost that sensation she had when she cornered him. As Nanoha flew to a corridor’s end, she slowed down her Flier Fin.

“BANG! BANG! BANG!”

A succession of three fired projectiles, as Nanoha’s quickly dodged but only barely, as she noticed the attacker hanging from the ceiling, wearing a kind of stealth jacket not worn earlier holding a large projectile cannon on his shoulder.

[Accel Shooter.]

A few orbs formed quickly, as as commanded...

“SHOOT!”

Fired accurately. But that man quickly jumped down, as stepping down nicely, he ran the walls evading the closely shot Accel Shooters, jumping from side-to-side.

“Accel Shooter isn’t the right kind of spell in such range . Snipe Shot is far better for precision control.”

A strange advice came from his mouth to Nanoha, but before she knew it, he was already in front of her as he took that heavy cannon and thrusted it towards Nanoha. Nanoha held Raising Heart to block it, and expecting a fire from that cannon, she strengtened her defenses, invoking Round Shield.

“Trapped.”

But that man did not shoot. No fire came, but what came was his free hand. Letting go of that cannon, he went for close combat. Nanoha tried to use Raising Heart to attack, but with one hand invoking Round Shield and only one hand to attack, the attack lacked power, as the swing was easily blocked, as his palm grabbed Raising Heart’s rod, and as another grabbed Nanoha’s free arm, something like a tornado flew Nanoha over as she felt the back of her head and her back turned in reverse from a judo throw, hitting the wall behind her.

Nanoha coughed out from the pain, but she was not severely injured, protected from her Barrier Jacket.

But that instant of pain was more than enough.

All of a sudden, she felt her arm’s grip weakened as Raising Heart was pried from her fingers, a sharp kick slamming her hand to the wall, making her drop Raising Heart, and another hand, slammed its weight on Nanoha’s neck, choking her.

“Excellent protection of your Device and Barrier Jacket. But even then, it does not protect the internals of your vitals. Your mental functions will not conduct magic properly if your veins on your neck is blocked much less speak, you will still die if you are choked to death in this condition.”

His palm was firmly held on Nanoha’s neck, his fingers accurately subduing the 2 veins on her neck. Nanoha was losing her conscious...

"You've lost."

And soon, it was darkness that enveloped her. Within the darkness, she heard a voice talking as she felt her weight being carried...

“You’ll be a good pawn to defeat the other one.”

Nanoha’s thoughts were ringing, as he could only mean Keroko... She tried to relay her thoughts to her, but it was no use...

Her thoughts were losing it...

Keroko...chan....

Anyway, the 7 month timegap of RF6 in StS 26 is giving me a lot of ideas to work with, especially with my knights...

I'll try to see how it'll work, but for now, I'll complete Isdera/Austin/Saga-Aurion talk first.

(( It was Aaron's extra assistance that inspired some ideas for Knights in the 6 month gap. ))

Subaru blinked. She knew Keroko-taicho was an Air-Combat instructor, and an expert in multi-target attacks. She even realized that she had to be skilled with the axe she wielded, but she would never have thought her to be a hand-to-hand instructor too.

“Is something wrong?” Keroko asked as she tilted her head at her students confusion.

“Ah, ie, I just didn’t expect Keroko-taicho. I mean, you’re renowned for your dogfighting abilities…”

“Ahh, but that’s the trick. I’m a mid-ranged combatant, especially in the sky that means that one way or another, I will get in melee combat at times. I may not be an expert of Zafira’s level, but I am better then the rest of the unit.”

Subaru blushed in embarrassment at her false assumption. “Su-sumimasen”

“There’s no need to apologize, most Air Force mages make the same assumption as you do, and train less in close range combat. This makes it rather easy to take them out up close. You could beat a lot of high ranked Air Force members yourself if you use your Wing Road effectively.”

Keroko shifted her stance. “But enough about that, let’s start with training. Your first task is to land a hit on me.”

Subaru blinked. Land a hit on her? They had been doing that for weeks now, this would be easy. With a smile, Subaru let her right knuckle roll and started to dash forward. “Ikuyo!”

Keroko remained standing, raising her guard against the approaching Subaru. Subaru prepared to bust through the barrier that would pop up to block her attack, raising her fist, dashing forward-

Only to be completely surprised as Keroko suddenly leaned to the right. Subaru blinked, and completely failed to notice that, although her body was out of Subaru’s path, her left foot had never left its place. Subaru’s legs smashed into the obstacle and she fell forward, going airborne for just a moment. That moment proved enough for Keroko as she shifted her position and slammed a fist downwards straight into Subaru’s back, driving her to the ground.

“Itetete” Subaru groaned as she pushed herself of the ground. Her eyes caught motion out of the corner and she turned just in time to see Keroko’s foot heading towards her stomach. “Eh!?”

Mach Calibur’s interference saved her from a very painful experience, but the blow still launched her up and against a tree. Not having any feet on the ground, Subaru quickly lost her balance and slumped to the ground.

Subaru sat back up in a daze, her mind trying to catch up with what just happened. “Wha- what was that?” she dizzily asked.

“That, is what we are going to train the next few days.” Keroko said as she approached Subaru. "You have the standard ground force self-defense pretty much down, your shooting arts are getting closer to mastery with each day of practice, but you lack one key thing. Experience. You’re used to fighting friendly opponents, those that will wait and nod at your actions. Things won’t go like that out there.”

She reached out a hand to help Subaru back to her feet, Subaru gratefully accepted. “For example.” Keroko yanked her arm backwards, causing Subaru to lose all balance again and tumble forward. At the same time, Keroko’s knee rushed forward, stopping only millimeters away from Subaru’s stomach.

“Lesson number one. When in battle, never lower your guard.”

Subaru regained her senses and began to sputter. “But, but that was-”

“Was what?” Keroko asked gently. “Dirty? Underhanded? Cheating?”

“Well… yes.” Subaru asked, lost as to where Keroko was going.

“I once had an instructor that put me into the same situation. I asked the same question you did; do you know what he told me?” Subaru shook her head.

“He said ‘Tell me, what would happen if you were to fight an enemy mage, and he surrenders. You lower your guard, and he reveals a hidden weapon, killing you. What will you do? Complain that your enemy cheated?’ Of course, I answered no. He then asked me what I would have done. Can you guess my answer?”

Subaru shifted nervously. “Well, nothing, you’d be dead.”

“Exactly. He then asked me what I should have done. Can you take another guess at my answer?”

Subaru raked her brain for possible answers, until it finally settled on one. She didn’t like the answer, but it made the most sense. “To cheat… better then him?”

“That’s right. So for today’s training, I’m going to throw every dirty trick that I can think of at you, and you’re going to block all of them while trying to land a hit on me. Don’t use standard attacks, use the unorthodox. Throw me off balance before I throw you off yours.” Keroko smiled as she slipped into a combat stance. “Think you can do it?”

Subaru smiled as she slipped into a combats stance herself. “Hai!”

Whew, that turned out longer then I thought. Well, the first part of a Keroko-as-a-trainer piece. It shows a bit of her street-fighter past influences in her combat (trip, punch, kick while they're down) and an instructor.

Also... possible Armstrong influence in Keroko's training? I was certainly thinking so when I thought of this scenario.

Subaru regained her senses and began to sputter. “But, but that was-”

“Was what?” Keroko asked gently. “Dirty? Underhanded? Cheating?”

“Well… yes.” Subaru asked, lost as to where Keroko was going.

“I once had an instructor that put me into the same situation. I asked the same question you did; do you know what he told me?” Subaru shook her head.

“He said ‘Tell me, what would happen if you were to fight an enemy mage, and he surrenders. You lower your guard, and he reveals a hidden weapon, killing you. What will you do? Complain that your enemy cheated?’ Of course, I answered no. He then asked me what I would have done. Can you guess my answer?”

Subaru shifted nervously. “Well, nothing, you’d be dead.”

“Exactly. He then asked me what I should have done. Can you take another guess at my answer?”

Subaru raked her brain for possible answers, until it finally settled on one. She didn’t like the answer, but it made the most sense. “To cheat… better then him?”

“That’s right. So for today’s training, I’m going to throw every dirty trick that I can think of at you, and you’re going to block all of them while trying to land a hit on me. Don’t use standard attacks, use the unorthodox. Throw me off balance before I throw you off yours.” Keroko smiled as she slipped into a combat stance. “Think you can do it?”

Subaru smiled as she slipped into a combats stance herself. “Hai!”

Whew, that turned out longer then I thought. Well, the first part of a Keroko-as-a-trainer piece. It shows a bit of her street-fighter past influences in her combat (trip, punch, kick while they're down) and an instructor.

Also... possible Armstrong influence in Keroko's training? I was certainly thinking so when I thought of this scenario.

Oh dear, an instructor teachin' one of the trainees to "cheat" is something I did not expect (even for dogfighting). More, more!

It's not an international university, just a local one in Malaysia. Not very famous too. I don't know if any of you have heard of UTAR (aside from FA ). Anyway, it's affordable and recognized (mostly by locals), so that's that.
