I would also see how it ends in the manga, i hate unfinish projects, if they are not going to finish better not make it,

Sometimes i don't understand those people, as far as i know i her their where like 12 volumes, not so sure, only a rumor i hear, i hope they make the right decion i 'm wainthing for the next volume.

Well, according to DVD Pacific, tomorrow is the street date release for Karin anime volume 4. I guess we'll see whether they actually get stock or not.... (it never really was clear to me whether it slipped under the blast doors or not).

Haven't seen any word on how the remainder of this series (or other series in progress) will be handled yet after the Geneon implosion.

Meanwhile, the *manga* is happily trotting along in regular releases (though inaptly named Chibi Vampire).

Yeah, all we know at the moment is that the dub and translation work on all these titles seem to be getting completed at a good pace, but there haven't been any announcements yet on how/when it'll be distributed. I guess they might wait until the ink is dry this time...

Yup, and the light novel series as well (which, while different, still manages to be pretty fun). The name is still unfortunate, but other than that, I think they're doing a pretty fine job on it all.

That's good to know. I was rather put-off by the stupid name, and feared it might be another of TP's poorer jobs (coughLoveHinacough), but if they otherwise did a good job on it I'll have to pick up a volume or two and check it out.

For those of you who are wondering about Karin's release I have some good news and some bad news.

Bad News: All production on all anime being done by Geneon has been halted untill further notice.

Good News: geneon has said it would not drop them. For right now all production is halted until Geneon can can sort out the distribution problem. ADV and Funimation have refused to offer any help to Geneon while Media Blasters, Viz, and Bandai have offered their help.

Is someone not reading the thread before posting? Seriously old news.... and I haven't seen any reference cite for "who's helping or not".

Geneon appears to be in negotiations to continue the release of existing licenses (see early posts and the Geneon thread in General Anime) but no one has guaranteed anything yet. Of course, any news articles or cites would be appreciated.

<sigh> update:
DVDPacific pushed Karin volume 4 into "backorder" status on my account with them (was to have been released 11/13/07). Expected that but it is still depressing to see it happen.

We've gotten noises through the Nanoha thread that things are still happening behind the scenes there. I hope Karin is getting some fraction of that 'love'.

And DVD Pacific dropped my backordered Karin vol. 4 off my account very quietly.

<sigh>..... glad I have the habit of archiving my fansubs til a licensed series collection is *complete*.

All quiet on the Geneon front now outside of those "Nanoha noises" (which is something good at least).

A bright silver lining indeed.

The anime had an original ending, thus it wasn't in the manga.

Probably chapter 22 of vol 5, where Karin and Kenta were selling Christmas cakes outside Julian on Christmas eve.

At this point, no one knows. There is a lot of hope that they will, but I have not heard even any substantial rumors about anyone else relasing them yet.

I could see funimation being interested in Karin given their existing library. Ah well, here's hoping *someone* fills that gaping hole in my Karin dvd-box on my shelf.

Hmmm, might be worth a tic to *write* Funimation and express interest in Karin being finished or re-released.
