Come to think of it, Suzaku may just cooperate with Lelouch in secret and just when Schneizel thought he had won, Suzaku sold him off just like how he betray Lelouch

and now for my long ass post about why i think there is a good chance to see a romantic arc finally coming to frutition in ep 21 based on episode mirroring


Spoiler for mirror:
as all of us should be aware by now the code geass r2 story line is very much mirroring the events of season 1
but the progression is an episode before or after
meaning that any events that happen in season 1 and get mirrored in season 2 are mirrored in the ep before it or after it is season 2

for example
suzaku coming to ashford , as well as the stupid cat chase scene (which lulu takes part in becouse it might expose his id as zero) happened in ep 6 of season 1 and ep 5 of season 2

we all know this but i think i have a pattern to it (when is it an ep before and when after)
the first four eps mirror each other prefectly since they have to set the stage
ep 1 : mild mannered school boy lulu getting the geass (and of course the classic "kisama-tachi shine")
ep 2 : zero wins using stratgy until an unknown KMF interups and turns the tide of battle (he still mannges to kill the govrner)
ep 3 : kallen shower scene while wondering if lulu is zero , lulu seeing someone he cares for is about to be executed and starts to plan a rescue
ep 4 : rescue op (zero's first actually public apperence

then starting with ep 5 season 2 eps take one step forward and beat the season 1 eps
ep 5 of season 2 :as stated mirrors ep 6 of season 1
ep 6: the first battle that lulu loses becouse he faces much stronger enemies then expected (gets a last minute rescue by one of the girls,C,C in season 1 ,kallen in 2) just like ep 7 of season 1

since season 2 is 25 eps then by ep 8 we reach the end of the first 1/3 and the eps then start to mirror each other in order
ep 8 both : lulu uses a crazy plan involving lots of people that end up all dressed alike and flouting away on a ship
ep 10 : intrduces a new KMF (ep is named after said KMF) shows an epic battle using the ground itself as a key to victory and ends mid way during the battle
ep 11 :conclution of said battle with the black knights not quite winning the battle but winning the day
ep 12 : a return to ashford with sherly and lulu's relationship growing closer (she asks him out in season 1 and season 2 should be clear) the episode ends with sherly in the rain crying after a tragic revaltion (her dad dying and lulu is zero)

then once again there is a change of pace
ep 14 an onwards mirrors episodes with a one step back (season 2 ep 14 matches season 1 ep 13)
ep 14 : of season 2 mirrors ep 13 of seaon 1 with lulu (shaken by events relating to sherly) does something that is truly evil inorder to get his goals (the bomb in season 1 and the cult in season 2) making members of his group question him
ep 15 mirrors season 1 ep 14 : ends with lulu losing one of the woman closest to him by having her lose her memory (he then spends the rest of the season having to deal with her new personallty)
ep 16 : has him being mean to C.C due to stress and then have a warm moment between them
ep 17 season 1 ep 16: has lulu confront a past enemy (mao and suzaku) with a gradge against him becouse its the only way to save nunnaly
ep 18 of season 2 is the biggest mirrorwise
1)lulu setting out on a big attack while stating that he has 3 objective he has to take care of
a)the target of the rescue toudo and kallen (with the target about to be executed right before the rescue)
b)nunnaly's safty (he chooses suzaku as her knight in season 1 and tries to save her in season 2)
c)a KMF (the lancelot in 1 the guren in 2)
the episode also has kallen blocking a shot aimed at lulu , the introduction of a new weapon system (harken boosters and energy wings)
and ends with a turn of events that leaves lulu shattered (suzaku piloting the lancelot and the friya)
ep 19 has a restractuing in the black knights and ends with lulu being confronted by someone very dear to him expressing a willingness to die with him (suzaku in season 1 and kallen in season 2) both time as a result of shnizel's actions
in both times he tells this person to "live on" (ikiru)

the fact that episode 20 consists of lulu being searched for by both sides and will probably take place on kaminejima supports the theory
and odds are that if the trend continues ep 21 will mirror much of season 1 ep 20
and what happened in ep 20 of season 1
1)a main male character goes on a death mission after having lost the will to live but nevertheless still being alive (suzaku)
2)the his LI who he previusly rejected comes to grasps with her feelings for him and resolves to save him by telling him she loves him and asking him to love her back (euphie)
3)a timely rescue by an enemy who nevertheless has a similer objective (as lulu states)
4)a final exceptence by said male character of the female charcaters feeling and begining a relationship in ernest with him finding a new reason to live

anyone who knows me (or actually takes one second to see my avater) could guess which one i'm rooting for
but i think past events all point to my logic being correct about ep 21 resolving the romantic war going on for most of the show

Schneizel turned Lelouch's own subordinates against him, now Lelouch has essentially nothing. I call that him having something over Lelouch.

But he's not a perceived boss at that moment. Charles is the bigger threat for now.

Or maybe he really did order Mariannes death since he considered Lelouch a threat and wanted to disinherit him.

Yes it justs goes to show you that you just can't trust the bishies(in GC anyway).

Lelouch was a schemer until the world caved in around him.

Scehnziel has been plotting to oust his father for longer than Lelouch by the looks of it.

Clovis and Cornelia were a little too quick to order massacres.


It'll probably turn out that Charles was just misunderstood and all he wanted to do was spread a little love.

Except the fact the he can't kill immortals genius, so I fail to see how this would work out

I wonder what Schneizel's goal will be revealed as. He doesn't have Geass and has only recently finished concluding his research on it to plot against Charles. Taking the throne doesn't seem enough for him.

I guess it depends on what his move is next episode, if he is successful in dethroning Charles then he is a huge threat. Charles is a threat though only because we don't know much about his plan, for all we know Ragnarok can be a good thing...
