Then it's not a good ending. Anyway, after doing some digging, I found there actually is a good ending. It's apparently called the "Secret ending" but it's a good one. It's going to take me a while to forget the ending/get over the ending of the anime. Guess I'm just a sucker for happy endings.

i just finished it not too long ago and have to say im impressed (not that that means anything im easily amused) i liked how the servents were all myth creatures or legends. At first emiya got on my nerves he reminded me a little too much like shinji ikari always doing what to be done like when riders master asked him to clean up the archery clubs room but i liked how he developed after meeting saber. There were some parts where i screamed shouldve seen it coming and some parts that just came out of nowhere (i ended up yelling at my tv for an entire episode) but the ending had me going i shouldve expected they (u know who im talking about) were never meant to be but i always thought maybe there was this small hope. I would like to see a 2nd season (something like next generation or something) and add some new servents.... like alexander the great would be a good one and some japanese historicals like oda nobunga or yukimara sanada... phew had to get that off my chest
I am too I hate sad endings but i hate really really happy endings if that makes sense

It's a happy death :P Besides, just having the reassurance that they at least get to stay together is of some comfort.

A very good analysis of Saber and her relationship with Shirou.

i have completed the series and i LOVE it......but i was shocked that after the game saber had to return in past.......the even bigger shock was that she had to die .....
Although it seems to be a bit impossible.......i really want a sequel and a better ending.... |

and it's not really an ending as such, just something like the "eclipse" from tsukihime or Afterstory. something to tie up the loose ends or give a look into a future.. but not an *ending*. as in shirou and saber still get seperated, just get get back together later. (assuming you ARE talking about that epilogue.)

i just finished watching the whole series
i feel this series overall is average, but the ending did surprise me and its hard to forget such sad ending i did not play the game, so i find many things not explained in the anime, like the relationship of Sakura and Rin, why the teacher is so good in hands combat etc however, i like the songs, the custom design, and of coz Saber and Rin |
