Rise of the Rozen Maidens: (Amethyst 4)
 image by melange The tide had changed. But not in the way either the Kugimiya Knights, nor the KyoAni Empire expected. The once powerful Maidens of Rozen had secured a might victory over the Tenuous Alliance and nearly defeated the God Empress Haruhi herself. With this victory, the Maidens had thrown down the gauntlet...their base of power had been reestablished...now it was just a matter of retaking what was once theirs. Since the attack on KyoAni space had been halted, the Maidens would focus on the Tenuous Alliance with all due haste. The Dark World of Suigintou, flushed with victory over her rival Fate, would select her other old rival, the Kugimiya Knight Louise of the Void. Before this Knight had stopped the Rozen's advance...before she had been powerful enough. But no more. The Maiden of Rozen would crush the Kugimiya Knight that had ended her fortunes during the Moe War of two galactic cycles ago, and who had defeated her in a burst of power in the First Great Moe War. Vengence some would say, is what drove this Rozen Maiden. The some may be correct. The Red World of Shinku would strike at the newly freed Red Queen Tamaki. The weakened Queen was no match for the seasoned Shinku. Suiseiseki would choose a different path. "Suiseiseki was queen after all (desu~), so therefore the Kingdom should go to the Queen if there is no king (desu~). Saber is no king or queen (desu~)!" The Maiden of Rozen would attack the throne world of the Kingdom of the Night. This attack surprised Saber. Low on mana, the Sovereign of the Kingdom was forced to abandon the battle to Suiseiseki. "Suiseiseki is now Queen (desu~)!" Meanwhile in the KyoAni Empire: The remains of the Kugimiya Offensive would attempt to get out of KyoAni Space. The White Devil and Kugimiya Padawan Taiga were still behind enemy lines. The Alliance would send The Diet Warriors of Minori, the Yellow Braver of Kirino, Techno-Commander Mikasa, under Commander Hayate and the Legendary Maria in to extract the remains of the offensive. Commander Hayate's force would go after Nanoha and would have the Diet Warriors and Mikasa under her. Hayate would attack the Key Border World of Misuzu to give the other a chance to get in and get Nanoha out. Sadly the White Devil was engaged against the entire SOS Space Force when aid arrived. The Diet Warriors were externimated by St. Nagato-chi while Techno-Commander Mikasa was forced to engage the God Empress Haruhi. While Haruhi's tactics were easy to read...the overwhelming firepower was more than Mikasa's force could stand. The White Devil was captured by the Moe Marines of Mikuru after an extented fight. Commander Hayate's force, while able to keep the border open for an escape, was unable to aid the rest of her units. The Legendary Maria's force was to go after Padawan Taiga being held in the Stars of Fortune. Maria's force was forced to engage the Collector of Oyashiro-sama, whom she had encountered in the Moe War of the previous Galactic Cycle. Knowing her enemy, the Legendary Maria knew what would distact Rena. Presenting a formation of combat butlers in cosplay, the Collector's concentration was broken. Maria would win this day. However while Rena kept Maria busy, the rest of the Alliance force was in the process of being crushed by local forces. Yellow Braver fell into a trap set by the Legendary Girl A, while Padawan Taiga would engage the Legandary Kagamin. The Elder Hiiragi, well versed in the arts of moe combat would break down the Kugimiya Padawan over the course of the battle. Both forces would be captured by the KyoAni Empire, leaving Maria without support and alone. The Balsamic Fleet would be used to transport units of the Stormtroopers of Nayuki to a new outpost in Sector 1252. Hanyuu would be sent to test the First One. Sakura was still not going to participate in offenive actions of the Tenuous Alliance, but how would she react to an attack? Sakura was unprepared for an attack from Hinamizawa. While the First One put of a spirited defense, her efforts were not enough. Several defensive units where destroyed before Hanyuu's force left the system. Forces from Rika-chama would cross-train with the Starfish Warriors of Fuuko. However several accidents happened during the training resulting in the loss of a few Starfish platforms. The Red Mage Rin of the Kingdom of the Knight would strike at a temple of the Seekers of the Sacred Uguu~. While the Seekers put up a valiant defense, their efforts were not enough against the powerful mage. Several sections of the temple were damaged or destroyed before Rin moved on to her next target. The Loli Warriors of Mei would deploy on the Sickly World of Shiori for increased security against Alliance attacks. President Tomoyo would travel to the Kanon Protectorate world of Makoto. There she would rally the spirits of the peoples into continuing this war even though the cost has been high. The war was worth the struggle. Horo Enterprises would be forced to deny shippments of Spice to the world of Mai when a dispute over customs and regulations on the border caused an incident between the company and the Daemon Hunters. Nagisa the Bold's force would stop an attack by the Dark Evangel. This attack was suppose to be retribution for the Empire's attack on her home planet, but the Dark Evangel just did not have the force to take on the Dango Fleet in open battle. The Witch-Regent C.C, would strike a blow against the KyoAni Empire by attacking the Gentle World of Sayuri. The attack devistated several sectors of the planet before the Geass Regency task force was driven off. Key Intelligence Officer Kotomi would investigate the Nebula of the Golden Darkness. Her search was to locate and destroy several Yami installations. Her mission was successful. Key Advisor Kyou would enage forces from the Scarlet Castle in open space. The power of the KyoAni Fleet was much more that Remilia's force could handle and she was forced to fall back, suffering heavy losses. Elsewhere: The Black Magician would suprise the Assassins of Shiki by locating there Hallow planet and stealing its location from them. A secret know is a precious thing, and such information could allow the major powers to deal with the assassins, or perhaps learn who is contracting them to kill just about anyone involved in this war. Marisa now had this information. Commander Fate and President Hinagiku would conduct and joint operation against the Touhou. Fate would attack the World of Knowledge, against attempting to reverse the changes to the Galaxy and return space to how it once was. Hinagiku would engage Aya's border patrols and keep them from hindering Fata's efforts. While space did not revert, the World of Knowledge was once again raided by the Time-Sapce Administration Bureau. The Red Knight Vita would train with an old "Osaka"-class platform to perfect her skills. The old platform fell under repeated hammering. The Kugimiya Knights were attempting to regroup. Once ready they could go after Padawan Taiga and Nanoha. Master Shana would go to the World of Shugo Chara to collect much needed Spice Amu for the road ahead of the Knights. Master Nagi would secure the Liner Akari for use. However Padawan Yuuhi was unable to find the Liner Alice to increase their transport capacity. The Shining Blue Dragons of Ami would travel to the World of Persocom to update their fleet's computer systems. Techno-Magi Commander Index would continue the Tenuous Alliance's pressure on the Geass Regency by attacking the border held by the Loyal Retainers of Anya. The pressure would hopefully contain the Regency. Protectot Reimu was unable to keep the Loli-Clones of Illya from escaping Touhou Space. The Royal Guards of the Geass Regency would assault the Kannagi Theocracy in an effort of expand the Regent's influence behind the Tenuous Alliance's lines. The attack was successful. Commander Kallen's force was too badly damaged to make the Geass Regency's stay very long.

I actually want to try to persuade the group if I knew where most of them were. Causing unexpected things to happen is fun. It would have been so easy to cause unexpected things to happen last year. Well, as long as they only do this during Amethyst, I'm fine. But if they try to make Suiseiseki or Shinku win the next one, then I'll be angry.

Seems like ISML is getting more and more political-esque. I personally enjoy seeing factions use ploys, tactics and whatnot to wrestle eachother in a battle of wits. It really makes it exciting for a neutral observer like me. Then again, it is denaturing the essence of ISML.
