Well I just finished Great Teacher Onizuka - and I really enjoyed it! I really don't normally like school life Animes, but this one was bearable.

I like animes that don't draw their characters like everybody is 5 years old... I tried watching Hitman Reborn but it was too childish for me (I went up to episode 7).

I also already plan on watching Ergo Proxy, Welcome to the NHK and Tehxnolyze, so no need to suggest those.

It's also a bonus if it covers mature themes such as drugs, alcohol, sex, violence or heavy psychology. I can deal with shounen if it has a good enough story (hunterxhunter, FMA). Thanks!

Oh and I like LONG ASS SERIES!!!!

Not sure if you have watched this yet but it seems like Persona -trinity soul- is what you seek. Its a seinen anime with school-life elements. Generally, the story takes place 10 years after the end of P3 and 8 years after P4. It has 26 episodes, not really a long series.

I can't think of another anime that you would like as that it is rare for high-school animes to be categorized as a seinen as that most are usually the ecchi love comedy type or the shounen type.
