Website has been updated, and the Jougamachi website is now online. A short CM is also available on the website.

Main chara seiyuu announced:

Kuzumi Hiroshi - Kobayashi Yuu
Kushinada Nemuru - Ise Mariya
Tsumuhana Isuzu - Katou Emiri
Kuzumi Mana - Fujita Saki
Asagiri Kaname - Fuchigami Mai

There's also a special version of the game with the OST and earphones attached, but I think so far you can only buy it off Konami Style?

Yep. They usually have exclusive extras, so it's not too surprising.

I'd consider getting the limited edition, but it comes out on the very day I have to leave Japan, so I wouldn't want to risk ordering it and the next person here ending up with it instead of me

There is a kakera collecting game going on with this game. The point is to click on the clocks of the ad banners of this game, and you would get a piece of the message. When you collect all of them for one character, and form a message, you get a prize.

The ad banner also lets you jump to other pages that has a similar banner, so you can collect more pieces.

A good place to start is from the 07-expansion webpage.

OH WOW! Wasn't this game released just a few days ago? Apparently, an anime for it has just been green-lit. Must be a new craze of animating Ryukishi's works.

It's like a giant mystery right now. There is almost no information about ôkamikakushi in English. -_-

Well it is not that great....as some of the kuzumi's ruuto stories endings are not scary at all, and as the character himself is a bit annoying. The game itself is good anyway as some stories are really really interesting, but it is more a mystery than an horror visual novel...even if the opening suggests so.

I want back my poor drawing style, Peace Pit UrG. It somehow doesn't give the same feeling when you have played Higurashi and Umineko in an art style that makes you want to look for fanart. I don't know, it is alright. The story is good since it comes from Ryukishi07 but makes me realize why ZUN doesn't have an artist to do his character portraits.

Finally finished reading the 'question arcs'. The time spent reading those 4 was way greater than I expected, probably due to branch slections/fatique from boring parts/real life stuff. (have to apoligize here as I neglected working on some projects )

I'll post some summaries if people want, but probably after I've finish reading the remaining 'answer arcs'. Currently I have to say that the story just isn't up to par with Higurashi or Umineko. There are many repetitive scenes, where even the lines are the same. Some places drags on way too long, especially the beginning of some of the chapters in Goshikiduka-hen. The development are often long for some parts, which makes me think that it's stretched just to keep the volume of text huge. I was quite excited when I first read Yomihirazaka-hen, but that died down quite a bit with some of the chapters in Goshikiduka-hen.

I hope this trend doesn't contuine in the 'answer arcs'.

(At least the art style and music is very good.)

Really? The things you said seem to describe Higurashi and Umineko to me a bit as well (the games anyway) but I assume you've played them... so it's more so for this game then huh?

I personally don't really like the artstyle or character designs... they just seem so plain to me.

I liked it though ;( had just played the game and now considering to stop in midway because there's a branch selection in this game....can't do it with my limited knowledge of japanese D:

Anyway, is it hard to finish a story with this multiple choice ?

Depends which arc you are in... if you are just in Yomihirazaka-hen, then it doesn't matter what choice you make. The most confusing ones are Sousourinne-hen and Roumensukuna-hen. Just use the 'skip already read text" (select button) and quick save at every branch point (should be on by default)
