Apparently Maria Holic isn't totally off the radar just yet.

A CD of...something called the SU-KON-BU, apparently with the voices of God and the Student Council President, just appeared in the listings. I have no idea what this is, but it's definitely a something.

I have a few questions, if anyone knows something about them, please tell me ^.~

Is there any news about a second season?
Who is currently translating the manga? There are several released volumes... but only thirteen chapters were translated.

There is no news about the second season, at all.

& Tokyopop licensed the manga. Could just buy their releases.

It was mentioned months and months ago that they lost the license for it.

That was ADV. Tokyopop was the one who acquired it. And after releasing one volume past ADV (some 3+ years after ADV), they promptly sat on the licence and delayed release of further volumes (not surprisingly after news reports of poor results in their OEL division and rumours they would do the unthinkable and start dropping series that were midway through publication).

I know Tokyopop picked it up, though the last i heard they lost the license.

That problem doesn't seem to be happening with their release of Maria+Holic.

No, Tokyopop still has the Aria license. Volume 5 is scheduled to release Nov. 3.

I remember being hesitant about the series because the concept bothered me. I ended up liking it in spite of that. I doubt it will be a higher priority series for me. However if there comes a time there's less competition and I feel like getting a title on the side...

With you on that, although SZS would need the kind of captioning job ADV did with Pani Poni Dash - which given many companies can't afford decent translators or proof-readers for their subtitles these days seems unlikely, unfortunately.
