how can you not call it an opening when that was the biggest injury aizen has ever suffered?
sure it healed right away, but that was the point. ichigo could've tried taking aizen's head off but got his shoulder instead (bleach flesh wound). ichigo missed his chance.

when has there ever been a true beheading ( the only sure fire way to kill someone) in bleach other than rukia busting lulu's fish tank.

thats beside the point. ichigo had an opening, landed a clean hit and it ended up being little more than a flesh wound.
whether or not anyone has ever been beheaded or if anyone really believed there was even a remote chance aizen would die now doesn't change the fact that there was an opening.

thats a a valid example, but bird boy was arrancar cannon fodder that died the episode he appeared. his death was about as significant as ichicgo cutting a random filler hollow's head in half.

kt hasnt done this with any half decent villain, definitely never a good guy,and definitely not aizen.

Actually...I think it's easier to say that beheading at least a somewhat meaningful to meaningful enemy will only happen if they have massive regeneration power or are inanimate...

Spoiler for well then...:

I wonder if this has anything to do with the title...Ichigo being bleached? (hollowed?)

something i don't get, from this chapter, Aizen knew of ichigo before he even became a shin?
and Aizen laid down ichigo path so he can reach hollow-ichi ?

if that is true then he must know of ichi old man?

I think everyone is forgetting something rather important: if Aizen has had the Hogyoku embedded in his body all this time, then what is it he showed Orihime with the seemingly obvious intention of getting her to try to destroy it (or rather, what is there right now)? And where is she right now?

There can only be one explanation. Aizen must be Ichigo's dead mother.

If all that you are proposing is true just maybe we will get more insight into Isshin and understand what he role in all this.

Once again where is Kensi, he was not hurt, is he somewhere chasing an illusion ?

just four words 'DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING!!!!!

I love it!!!!!

She's chasing after...a fake! Wouldn't be surprised, it was done in the anime earlier too (ep.142 or so) although I was really expecting her to put a stop to Aizen's clockwork plans

After reading the chapter, I have to wonder why Kubo made Aizen even MORE hax, they finally had a chance to at least hurt him a bit, he could survive even without the auto-regen...Not even going to bother questioning how Aizen knew about Ichigo's hollowification, which Byakuya hadn't reported, and his fights with GJ and Ulq, which nobody else was attending. If Aizen doesn't disperse from the volatile nature of the hogyoku, I'll be recruiting assassins over at Kubo's
