It's good to hear it, though I wasn't surprised at all. This show has been a lot of fun and they have so much still to do.

Who knows. The DVDs haven't come out, so can't really compare sells. As far as I can see, Dyurara and Railgun are higher up. As for the rest... Well, wait until DVD comes out. Seems Hidamari and SoraWoto aren't doing too pretty... <--Fine with me though

For some reason, when everyone was just staring at Yuuko with a blank stare (or fake smile) in the beginning, I got a flashback of seitokai.

I was half expecting for Shouko to smile and then say, "Yuuko, seiza." (from seitokai ep 2)

EDIT: Wasn't Akihisa supposed to use "Shining Answer" not "Strike Sigma V"? xD

In conclusion (for this season - though it is immensely popular, announcing a second season on April 1st must naturally be taken with a grain of salt), a series that involved a battle over something unusual, homoerotic and heteroerotic tension running at convoluted angles, and a show that even when it was serious, it was silly. Couple that with Shaft-like animation and Keiichiro Kawaguchi being part of the staff, and this is very close to my platonic ideal for an anime. If anything, it reminds me of Akikan!, and I mean that as a compliment.

I did, actually, and I enjoyed it as much as y'all did. What I was trying to say was there was a possibility that they'll squeeze a class war in episode 13 to conclude the series (do a fast-forward three months, intensive training cutscenes, maybe even another 5v5 showdown to cut things short). But since episode 13 is out, I see no reason to speculate any further

Still waiting for the subs, though.

Awesome, this was the sleeper hit of this season. It was one of the shows I looked forward to every week. Can't wait for another season of this show. This also means that this show was popular enough to warrant a second season.

it was already popular.... and the anime added boost to it..... but still.... this anime sometimes relied on parodies to boot itself....

im not gonna be surprised that in second season hideyoshi will be exploited again.... but this time in a very VERY provocative manner that will bend the viewer's perception of boy and girl!!!!!

they already bend it. In the ending song when the guys and girls stand side by side but no one for hideyoshi. I was expecting yuuko but no one. The hideyoshi gender is one prof of a new existing gender.

See, Yuuko is pretty nice after all. Shouko was as adorable as always in this episode, why wouldn't you want her as your waifu? Sure you'd get tazed a lot and you might lose an eye or two, but it'd be worth it.

This anime had its ups and downs, the downs being the episodes that were nothing but random reference reference reference hey look another REFERENCE, but I enjoyed it a lot overall. The episodes with ESB and actual jokes were very funny, and I personally like most of the characters. I'm all for a second season, though I'm not believing the announcement yet either, April fools and all...

Overall , a good hilarious anime .
Give it 7/10 !

If this one get a 2nd season , i want Seitokai 2nd season too !!
