Christ... the doctor is just disgusting. It's hardly the first time I see a scene like that in anime/manga, but it still makes me sick. And he's got his sights on Joe now, poor kid is a rape magnet. I guess he's probably going to use the same trick as for Sakuragi's former cellmate, now we know why the doctor and Ishihara are desperetly trying to kill Sakuragi, I can only hope they will be the ones dying a horrible death instead.

This show is really all about bros helping each other. Delicous blood stained rice ball. I still can't shake the feeling Sakuragi isn't going to get out of here alive.

Next week: the hot nurse is back! I guess she will stick around after all. Nice that Frozen kept and translated the segment with Kanjiya Shihori. The interview isn't terribly interesting but I enjoy those kind of things.

God Ishihara and the doctor are sick. Ishihara sells the prison's inmates for money to turn them into sex slaves poor Hagino was driven to suicide just because those two wanted to fulfill their nasty desires or something along those lines and now they are trying to target Joe he has already been through enough of that so it would be hell to go through that again and reliving those horrid memories from the orphanage. I teared up big time when that one kid brought Sakuragi that riceball to eat that was so sweet of him. I hope Sakuragi can endure two more weeks and somehow get out of there. Heres hoping those two sick bastards get caught and arrested and carted off to jail for their actions.

I made that same mistake they look so alike then after the episode where those other inmates smashed his hand I was like oh the glove since it would make since to cover up that hand if its scared or something

My god... this show can be so hard to watch... it messes with my emotions quite a bit that when I watch it, my heart would be pounding because you know what some of the potential obstacles are going to be and yet, there's always that glimmer of hope that they can avoid such a fate. Still, to see what they have to go through is disheartening.

That said, this show does go over the top in its treatment and so, becomes less believable unlike something like Shawshank. That's probably my only major criticism of it; it's hooked me so far, and amazingly so.

Consider it as this show's kind of censorship: they take everything to the extent where things become slightly ridiculous, so that the show doesn't become frighteningly dark.

I got up to Volume 20 Chapter 215 in the manga yesterday but unfortunately I can't find Volume 21. Does anyoneknow where I can download it ?

Speaking of the anime, its slightly tone-downed when it comes to the rape scenes compared to the manga.

I really do hope the anime is not just 23 episodes but in the 50's possibly because 23 would most likely use material up to Volume 6 and 7 and it will most likely stretch the material to make it last that many episodes, which would suck because in the first 6 or 7 volumes, the manga would NOT have looked into everyone's past. I've read the manga in RAW, so I don't know everything that went on in it but

how many chapters do they have out in English I'm curious or has it not been translated yet?? Wow 215 chapters I was thinking it had way less than that for some reason and ANN is still saying the anime is slated for 13 episodes I wish it were longer unless they decide to have another season or extend the series

I think I read the first 3 or 4 chapters in English but since not much of it was scanlated. I quickly moved on to reading the RAW scans, I was only able to find the first 20 volumes. Each volume contains about 10 to 11 chapters.

13 episodes.....hmmmm....I hope not.
