Recording PS3 gameplay video on my computer
What equipment and software would I need to record gameplay from my PS3 on my computer like all those Youtube videos? I definitely don't know what program to use for that, nor have I seen any kind of cables for connecting the PS3 to a computer. Non-HD equipment is fine.

Apart from a HDMI port, a PS3 also has the standard Playstation video port. You can connect various video cables to that port (I have them all: composite, component, S-Video and RGB Scart) and then all you need is a TV card of some sort to record the video with. Any TV card should do as long as it has the same inputs as the Playstation video cables you got. A PS3 comes standard with a composite (yellow+red+white connectors) cable btw.
