I was actually wondering when we would see the new assistants again the other day. Glad they weren't forgotten. The cliffhanger was predictable but it'll be interesting to see their reactions next chapter. I hope they'll be able to understand why the Chief turned down the offers and won't throw a tantrum.

I never liked anime that comes so early in the manga's life. The story usually gets senselessly butchered (LH) / cut too short and never gets done justice (Negima) / filled with useless fillers if it's long running (Naruto). Only a few series pulled it off well. (FMA + One Piece)
That's from a fan's perspective though. Spoiler for 100:

It would easily be possible to make 15 chapters into an anime if it was a monthly series (and it's being done right now, HotD for instance). With 25+ weekly chapters I think it's possible, although a bit of filler might be required.

I noticed something kind of odd in chapter 99, only to have it show up again in chapter 100, and then to be followed with the cliffhanger on the last page. It seems like Hattori is surprised whenever our duo mentions an anime. I thought he always knew about their dreams of wanting to make an anime, so I can't help but find this odd.
In the middle of the chapter I was thinking that if he's really so against the idea of this story getting an anime, he should say something to them about it. It looks like he'll tell them next chapter though, so we'll see how it goes. Also, I'm pretty sure Hattori is talking about the anime getting an anime period, not just the chief rejecting the current proposal on his desk. The editors aren't supposed to mention proposals to the mangakas, so there's no reason for Hattori to be speaking of this specific one. He's against PCP ever getting an anime, from the looks of it. |

PCP should get an anime. I don't see what the problem is with that. There's so many other Shounen series of a similar type as PCP that got an anime. I suppose the reason it's not getting an anime yet is because it's too soon and the story is much too intricate for an anime adaptation. It's better to wait for more manga material for an anime adaptation, that way the anime can be loyal to the real thing.

Well, that was rather blunt. "PCP isn't getting an anime". I didn't think they would get one so soon. So I'm not surprised. I want to hear the context of what he said. If he said it in a "PCP is NEVER going to get one" kind of way, then that's a pretty big bombshell. But it's probably a "Not right now" sort of thing.

It's probably gonna be "PCP is not well suited for anime". But I still think that PCP will be the one they animate in the end, especially after what t3ck said about Death Note. If it's not PCP, then we will never see any of their series animated in the end and it'll be yet another "life goes on" ending.
