I can't believe that. Or maybe I just don't want to believe that. I mean sure you can cite poe's law and all, but Colbert's really over the top even for that. His anti-bear stance alone should be proof. Plus that he's on comedy central.

I agree, I find that hard to believe.
Not impossible, but a little sad if it's true.

Obviously you two are thinking too highly of the people in the tea party. Remeber that the majority of them think god came down on his magic pony a few thousand years ago and made adam and eve. I wouldnt be suprised to see that they still thought the earth was flat or iraq was responsible for 9/11.

Aw now that's just mean.
I've actually been to a rally here in Denver back in April of last year.
They're not all rednecks screaming "they tuk r jobs!"

Some of them ARE that bad, but not many out here thankfully.
Not sure about places like Texas or Kentucky, they might actually scare me out there.

The thing is than I didn't heard of a tea-bager's quandidate than wasn't much of a disaster ( which is the reason why I heard of them)

People have made their decision. Nothing is going to change. They've rejected Obama and his economic policy and want a change to limited government spending.

Quote:
MOSCOW — President Dmitri A. Medvedev on Monday visited one of the southern Kurile Islands, which the Soviet Union seized from Japan at the end of World War II, making it clear that Russia had no plans to cede the mineral-rich territory despite Japanese demands.

Mr. Medvedev is the first Russian or Soviet leader to visit the disputed Kuriles, part of an archipelago that stretches from the southern tip of the Kamchatka Peninsula in eastern Russia to Hokkaido in the northernmost part of Japan. The four southernmost islands, called the Northern Territories by Japan, are home to only around 20,000 people, but grant access to prize fisheries and promising oil and gas fields.

Mr. Medvedev told residents that Russia was prepared to invest heavily to raise living standards there.

“We want people to remain here,” he said while visiting a family on Kunashir, one of the islands. “Development here is important. We will definitely be investing money here.”

Japan, which warned in September that such a visit would “severely hurt ties,” objected immediately. Foreign Minister Seiji Maehara said Mr. Medvedev’s presence “injures the feelings of the population of Japan,” and he summoned Russia’s ambassador to deliver a note of protest.
ahahhahah, Japan.

I believe you can only speak for yourself until the vote is in, thanks. As for Japan, this is an anime forum at the core so "things Japan" are of interest.

This is what the tea party and fox news wants you to believe.

Doesn't make it true though. It's not that people have rejected his policies, it's that they aren't getting results fast enough. People don't get that a financial downturn decades in the making is going to require years to fix.

When I mean people I don't mean everyone. But it is enough to give Republicans an advantage. And as for politics if the results are disappointing, the masses turn against you. Welcome to democracy.

Korea, China and Russia are all stabbing Japan.

The difference is that post-war Soviet Russia was able to reinforce it's territory control.

Korea and China weren't able to.

Funnily enough on Arirang, they actually have Dokdo as part of the weather bulletin.

I'm not so sure it's a Republican revival as much as it is a protest against Progressive-Socialist policies.
I was a Dem for a very long time, but when they started espousing socialist ideas I left and became Independent.
I'd go back if they'd return to Liberalism of the "Old" Left.

So Hispanics are angry too?
Any idea why, or is it the same as what was in the opinion piece?

I'm not sure you grasp just how far right both the DNC and the GOP have moved since the 1980s or how they've been co-opted by large multinational corporate interests ... you keep throwing words around I'm not sure you're entirely clear on their meaning
