Now this was intresting. I like her style, trying to win fights without actually fighting, one moment she is very naiive and then suddenly serious, and she can dodge bullets like Madlax. And much like Madlax series this is more about stylish action than realism.
Nice to have one more series that has mature female main character, well... at least in one way... I going to follow this series, it is silly, yes, but this was kind of show that I like. |

I wonder if Yajirou is like to Rushuna like Nicholas D. Wolfwood was to Vash The Stampede... meaning
Spoiler for Trigun:
I doubt that will happen since this anime isn't looking too serious, heh. Anyway, great series so far. I never really got into Madlax, I dropped it after episode 1, but this one looks promising.

There is only one thing I want from this series, and that is to go one way, meaning if the focus is her chest, make it fanservice. But if there is a story to this, and I mean a real story, then I'd like to see how well they can manage with a pretty girl with a good story.
But I don't think I'll mind, considering I'm all up for what ever is airing now. |

Quite an interesting series indeed. At first I was also worried about excessive fanservice and the girl being so naive or ditzy (commonalities with female blondes in anime), but I'm pleasantly surprised Tendo Rushuna is actually a strong and skillful gunslinger. In a lot of ways a lot like a female Vash, but without being a crybaby (and not spewing out ridiculous lines like "I'm known as Valentinez Alkalinella Xifax Sicidabohertz Gombigobilla Blue Stradivari Talentrent Pierre Andri Charton-Haymoss Ivanovici Baldeus George Doitzel Kaizer III. Don't hesitate to call.").
What struck me most though was the Soundtrack. I love the Opening Theme. Kinda like a westernized rendition of that Motoko theme song from Love Hina ("Tsuki no Itoku"). The Ending Theme is not bad either. *puts this on his mp3 download waiting list* |

I seem to recall paging through an issue of Shonen Jump or some similar magazine (not the crappy, overpriced American version, but the real deal straight from Japan) ages ago (I'm pretty certain the same issue had FLCL in it, before the anime was out even fansubbed over here). and seeing a manga with a rather similar design for the main character.
I can't remember if this was before or after I'd heard of Trigun. The manga didn't look to be particularly original in art style, but had some nifty designs, and seemed to be humour based. It was in Japanese though, so I couldn't comment on the story.

Damn this looks like it will be pretty good, the girl is like Madlax with a touch of Luffy's (One Piece) personality; She is so badass with the revolver too . To all those in doubt of downloading, DOWNLOAD IT.

No. So much fanservice? And I must be the only one wondering why many say Uta Kata has so much fanservice. I'm in Grenadier for the story and guns, girl is optional side dish. But if emphasis is on her boobs, aw well..... |

You're not the only one wondering why many people complain about the fanservice is Uta~Kata, but anyway, I think this has turned into my 3rd or 4th most anticipated anime this season. I like Rushuna's war philosophy too .
