Just this.

I want some anime (manga suggestions are appreciated, too) where the main male character has long hair. Preferably action, fantasy, supernatural. I'll take school comedy or shoujo romance too, but plz no slice of life realistic drama stuff.
Long means like this, the real deal, not shoulder length.

Examples: Mononoke, Hakuoki Shinsengumi Kitan, Rurouni Kenshin, InuYasha, Night Walker.

Alucard from Hellsing has long hair, but he usually wears a hat... the mercenary leader also has long hair.

Monochrome Factor. Shirogane has a beautiful long braided hair (my fetish *blush*

). If you don't mind lots of BL undertones, watch the anime, otherwise read the manga.

Only two comes to mind atm; Katanagatari Yasuri Shichika has pretty long hair and it's of the genre you're looking for

The other being Kobato as the main male has long hair, though the series is more of a shoujo/comedy with minor fantasy and romance.

-Bastard. A lead with long white hair.

-Gankutsuou. While technically not the lead character, the Count has such a strong presence here that I think it is worth the mention.

-I think Rune Soldier had a lead with long blue hair.

-Macross F has a lead who keeps his blue hair on a ponytail.

-Katanagatari has a lead with an über long ponytail.

-Samurai 7 had a few leads with long hairs. It has no actual main character.

-The manly hero of GaoGaiGar has a long red hair.

-Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust has a main with long black hair.

More recommendations:

- Blood+: Have some cute, stoic, ponytailed, vampiric bishie! My favourite anime. Highly recommended.

- Le Chevalier D'Eon: somewhat dark, but highly enjoyable series. D'Eon has very long hair.

- Revolutionary Girl Utena: Even though Utena is the female lead, the anime has more than enough its share of long haired (and fabulous) bishie. A classic and a masterpiece. Highly highly recommended!

It reaches to the the middle of his back, even when it's lifted. It's definitely a very long hair.

Nurarihyon no Mago when the guy transforms into demon form.

Otherwise have no idea, not really into long haired guys.

You can try D.Gray Man, Kanda is not the main character but he appears quiet a lot towards the middle and has long hair.

Genji's hair is pretty long in Genji Monogatari Sennenki. You don't often see it because he wears a hat in public, but he usually takes that off as he travels from bed to bed. Sakurai Takahiro, the voice of Mononoke's Apothecary, also performs here in the lead role.
