How so? Kyon is only a half a head taller than Haruhi, and while it does look like she's gained some height that's because she's in the foreground and Kyon's in an awkward position. If anything, it's actually Koizumi that's slightly too short, because he's supposed to be taller than Kyon.

Geez, these people are all midgets. The "tall" one (Itsuki) is 5'10", and Mikuru is just under 5 feet. That barely comes up to my chest. =/

EDIT: Figured out what the problem was. It's not that the girls are too tall (or rather, not necessarily just that), but rather that their heads are much, MUCH too small. I've taken the liberty of correcting Yuki's proportions:

Well just keep in mind that people from Japan are generally shorter than people from other countries, especially western ones like America... average height for girls in Japan is around 5'2'' if I'm not mistaken, so Mikuru's would be just a bit below average, and it wouldn't seem way outrageous.

Average male height is around 5'6'', so Itsuki would be quite "tall" indeed, by Japanese standards.

At just over 6'2" tall, yeah I would be a practical giant in those sort of crowds. Sakaki from Azumanga Diaoh would be at a nice dancing hieght for me though.
