Sorry ladies, but Ouji's actually into cats. Bestiality solves all love triangles. Ouji and Hummy, one true pairing right there.

Hibiki's catchphrase is appearing to be "I'll bet my pride as a woman here!". Um, yes. Unsure as to what her phrase has anything to do with anything.

Funny episode, but too much reaction facing. Heartcatch also did a bad job of managing the reaction face, putting it on Erika with every frame of her animation. Kanade... don't turn into Erika, or I'll have to put my face in a large pillow as well.

Episode 14 Rating: 8/10

I hope Cure Beat shows up soon or Cure Muse actually talking, its pretty good episode too even though the arguing is slightly annoying

We're approaching the late teens/early 20s, that's when shows start bringing out their surprises. I think Muse's identity might be held off for a third quarter reveal, but Beat should be appearing on stage within the next few episodes. Preferably, around the same time as GokaiSilver debuts. For block consistency.

Episode 23 is the magic episode. It's when both Cure Passion and Cure Sunshine were revealed.

Siren sure doesn't give up on "break Kanade and Hibiki friendship plan". As expected it didn't work. I wish she'd stop doing that, feels like it got used a lot already. Stop reusing an always failing plan and do something else Siren, you're supposed to be an intelligent cat.

This week's negatone fight is one of the shortest, but still enjoyable. The negatone is surely strong, but he's no match for the new special move! Hibiki and Kanade holding hands and doing a pose while attacking made me feel nostalgic about older precure shows. One of the best team up attacks I've seen done in a precure series (own opinion).

Suite is quickly introducing new attacks every episode. It's a very pleasing change of pace to have Pretty Cure use different attacks rather than fire off the same one over and over again. And I admit, mixing and matching the Belltiers is damn clever. Best of all, the plot actually relates to the attack itself: Hibiki and Kanade's improved friendship allowed them to use each other's power for an even stronger rondo. Bravo, Suite writers.

Episode 16 Rating: 9/10

I'm so glad to hear the series go on such a positive ride.

People were so worried about the state of this show from just looking at character designs and I laugh at that worry now. Actually, Kanade and Hibiki are some of the most gorgeous Precure characters I've seen so that's another thing.

Really nice to see new attacks come in constantly no doubt.

Spoiler for Kamen Cure Hibiki 17 - The Houjou Family Ain't Afraid of No Negatones:

Hibiki's mom is a little more in control than her dad, at least. Though like her husband, she inserts random French into her conversations. Those two were made for each other. Interesting to see Ouji act the same way towards Maria that the female population of the school (and some male population, maybe) acts towards him. Hibiki was the only one in the room not blushing. Suspect, suspect...

Siren isn't afraid to reuse a plan with some changes. Now instead of imitating Hibiki's mom, she imitates Hibiki. And turns a small mob on the real one. It's amazing that both of her parents are quite calm under pressure when dealing with giant objects given sentience, skeletal features and a thirst for blood.

But for the most part, a nice family bonding episode. We find out how Hibiki got her name, and she reaffirms her dream to become a pianist. But she probably won't drop the sports thing either, at least as a hobby. The ending was very touching.

Next week: Note collection, and Mephisto is planning a something.

Well Siren's friendship gets fractured so easily I guess she figures it's an effective tactic. Problem is she's not using evil brainwashing to do the job. It's clearly much more effective . Still until she is willing to go and do that she should give up on this breaking up the friendship thing. It never works, wastes time, and probably brings them closer anyways. Of course since their powers are connected to friendship it is one of the best ways to weaken them, but she's got to figure something else out. Like use a negatone to kidnap one while they are separated.

I don't think Siren can use evil brainwashing to ruin Hibiki and Kanade friendship.
Because she herself get easily brainwashed. *just kidding

Hopefully, the many failures she experinced in using "break friendship plan" should convince Siren that it's not as easy as it looks. Kidnap one then pretend to be the other? Sounds like a good plan, and I've not seen that done in a previous precure series. Who knows, it might just happen in the next episodes.

Pretty Cure has always stuck to the same routine. Bad guys create monster, Pretty Cure beats the monster. Onto the next episode!

I've questioned the routine back in the Splash Star days... and I've come to the conclusion the villains are forced by some magical power to make incompetent monsters. Otherwise, why wouldn't they just kidnap the main characters in their sleep?

There's a kidnap scene which is actually life threatening (it's not kidnap one and pretend to be the other, it's simply kidnap to separate them). There's no "monster of the week" on that episode, just the bad guys trying to kill them for real.

Cure White gets kidnapped and put into a void of darkness. The darkness disintegrates her body and darkens her soul... or something. Cure Black has to fight everyone by herself, using the power of friendship and love deprived teenage girl rage. At the end, Cure Black and White cry after seeing each other and embrace. Like an Oreo with only one half of the cookie.

I meant more like kidnapping Pretty Cure in their sleep, so they can't transform or fight back.
