I told my friend over the phone the other day that I was playing a one piece video game and she was like "you mean that show from fox" and I immediately thought "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Now One Piece will forever be associated with this crap they show on tv to those who weren't loyal fans before hand. Wah it's so sad to think about that. I'd take my badly subtitled Hong Kong Dvds over this dub anyday. I've even made a few fans of OP by showing them these dvds because at least they can still appreciate the original.

Lemme just join in by giving this to 4kids and the rest responsible :fingers: :fingers:
What they did to the anime is basically like taking a soccer ball, painting it neon pink, and calling it a banana.

It really pissed me off when some kid called me "that stupid kid from the baby show about fake pirates on Fox" when I was trick-or-treating >_>

Ok.. my first view in the Dubbed version:

Screw 4Kids and FoxBox I hope someone goes and plant a bomb in their companies. I can tell already that they won't even make it through Don Creig. They'll cancel the show before then, it's impossible to edit out that parts especially WHEN the whole freaken battle is bloody.

What are they gonna do huh? edit out the spikes from Luffy and give him holes in his legs and arms?

Eh. I could probably draw Bush's face in the middle of a bull's eye, but not everyone is an artist :P Everyone gets the joke though, that's all that matters.

To me, they (4Kids) can be considered many things. Things like;
- mold that grows from days old bread (wheat or white bread)
- bad singer
- Cockroaches
- target for Cloud's Omnislash maneuver etc...

But personally, I wish that there was no such thing as 4Kids. Because it's just a pain (not to mention embarrasing). Because we'd all just have the last laugh and laugh in their faces.

Man, this dub of One Piece is just horrible. I guess it's true from past experiences they still haven't learned their lesson on how to do really good animes. It's just garbage.

I'd rather watch animes from Bandai, VIZ or any other company except for 4Kids. As 4Kids really sucks.

Just glad that I don't have to depend only 4kids for One Piece. I just hope that the nielson ratings for the dubbed One Piece are that of a horribly low level. That would be the only thing to change their minds on how they deal with One Piece or at least give up on the idea of permenantly liscensing One Piece. If only more little kids would simply do other things than watch the Foxbox on a Saturday morning like sleep longer or whatever.

I really don't think that fans that watch those shows from "4Kids" will technically watch One Piece. Because they're more interested in those Pokemon or Yu Gi Oh type of shows.

Seriously, don't even ask. Just stay away from the TV set on Saturday mornings. I was watching it up to this point just out of curiousity to see what they would cut/alter/make stupid, but I was so horrified at Usopp's sucky voice that I turned the TV off.

Noted. I seriously do NOT want to know what they'll do to poor Sanji. I've been staying away from watching anything on Fox ever since they showed the first episode.

I'm expecting Sanji to have some sort of accent, probably French. XD

Sanji's definitely French. In fact I'm surprised we didn't get a Hispanic Usopp... probably would have been better than what we got. Usopp has one of those voices that are pretty much impossible to find an English counterpart that kicks ass in the same way as the original, but they tried it anyway. Needless to say, it failed miserably. Worst of the four Straw Hat pirates that we've heard so far. A stereotypical quote-spouting Spanish Usopp would have been better.

"Yo, Usopp Pirate Amigos, this taco is mucho bueno."

>_>

Well, For lack of anything better... they could have did what they did in Japan.

Pull the VA for the American Inu Yasha, I think his voice would have definately been the best for the translated Usopp

Alas, different companies tho. Shrug.

My theory is that Mihawk is going to be voiced by the Taco Bell dog.

"Yo quero Taco Bell, Zolo. DIE."

Also, with the dub, they lose that pun with Usopp´s introduction that sounds like "I´m a liar"...

>_<
