Excellent chapter. Even though Team Kakashi outnumbers Oro and Kabuto 2:1 they are completely outclassed.
Orochimaru at full health is a force to be reckoned with although since Sakura helped defeat Sasori it may not be too absurd to think that a fight could ensue. I really don't see it happening in the next chapter unless Sasuke is right there at the scene. Perhaps Kabuto and Orochimaru will lead the team to Sasuke to have his skills tested. Considering Sai seems to recognize Orochimaru we'll likely learn a bit about his backstory soon including what happened to his brother, I expect it to involve a mission to assassinate Orochimaru since ANBU has apparently been tracking him since he left Konoha.

I am curious to hear what Oro has to explain to Kabuto about Yamato later on. Maybe he has some sort of history with him. It could just be that he knows him as a good ANBU but i bet there is some real back story.

Im happy that oro wants to have some fun, l think that the way Oro will find out if Naruto is stronger or weaker than Sasuke, is not by letting Sasuke come and fight them, but letting Naruto fight against Kabuto or himself and letting them judge the skill.... but I guess if Sasuke comes back that would be fun, and a great fight would happen
 I see (if) the fight happens, you could have Sai and Yamato take on Oro and Naruto and Sakura take on kabuto, but...if Sasuke comes out, it would probably be split by med nin v med nin (Sakura vs Kabuto) and Sai and Yamato vs Oro - I think Oro would force the one on one with Naruto and Sasuke just to see who is actually stronger. Kishi has done a good job, hopefully he can keep the momentum going... |

We haven't seen what jutsu's Oro's current body has at his disposal either, he was meant to be the strongest of the survivors....
(This made me think could it be that Oro's current host is Sai's brother?). Didn't the host have some "spare my clan" plea bargain or something? My memory is a little hazy..... that would explain how Sai is familiar to Oro and Vice Versa.... Just some random thoughts anyhow. |

Jiraiya wouldn't give that piece of paper to Kakashi, if he would have thought that Kakashi wouldn't have too much difficulty against tailed-Naruto. Also, who knows what Jiraiya had actually observed to come up with such a solution. Even Oro would have difficulty against tailed-Naruto. Also, if Naruto can reach his max in terms of using Kyuubi's powers (maybe 9-tailed version), it is difficult to imagine even Oro winning in such a situation. Somewhere in between a balance should be achieved, in such case. Maybe, Naruto is close to that, right now. It won't be a matter of techniques, but a battle of power, and in such a battle even you know millions of techniques, it won't help you a lot. I'd like to see Oro suffer such a battle, but I don't think it will happen.

If Naruto releases close to 9 tails, i think it's safe to say Kyuubi will be on the verge of breaking from Yondaime's seal.
Naruto isn't much without releasing Kyuubi, we have already seen how Sai toyed with him and calling him weak, which is true. The same dull Kagebunshin and Rasengan combo never change. I'd like to see Naruto releases 2 or 3 tails before Orochimaru put the 5star seal on him. And that Kabuto just gets on my nerves, someone should put him in his place. Sasuke is stronger than Kabuto at the very least, otherwise there's no point in following Orochimaru. If he can't surpass Kabuto, he'll never catch up with Itachi.

Well well well. This is getting exciting! As could be expected of Oro, he saw through the whole thing. I hate him, but I have to admit that he's the shit. Naruto is already feral too...
Regarding Oro wanting to see who is stronger between Naruto and Sasuke: I don't think he will pit Naruto vs. Sasuke right now. Rather, he will try to fight Naruto the way he did Sasuke in the forest. Remember, Naruto is the container of the strongest demon, and Oro once tried to kill Naruto before he got too dangerous. I doubt that Oro would want to risk his precious new body against Kyuubi's power just a few months away from the swap. I don't know what the matchups will be exactly, but I do think that Sakura will end up fighting Kabuto, Yamato will end up fighting Oro (he has to; he by far has the most combat experience), and Sai will probably be beaten within an inch of his life, saved and converted in his last moments by Naruto, then die. Or not die. But the whole almost dead then converted thing will probably happen. Sasuke or not, I'm really anxious to see how the youngsters will perform in this fight. Especially Naruto. I expect to see big things, and I will be disappointed otherwise. So far that training has looked pretty fruitless; hopefully Kishimoto was setting us up for surprise in this battle. |

The main deficiency in Naruto's case, is his control of chakra. All the jutsus depend on how efficiently you use them. In the last 2.5 years, he must have achieved great steps towards that (well compared to what he was before). If you take into account his healing abilities, and chakra range, Naruto must have learned quite a lot during that time.
He doesn't need to show all those techniques in his fights. Since he loses his temper (cool) easily, he mostly uses techniques he seems to feel comfortable. I don't think it is a bad thing. Those techniques are quite powerful if used carefully. Hopefully, at the point Sai shows some kind of admiration towards Naruto, the complaints regarding his lack of abilities will stop. |

That chap. was awesome! Finaly we see Oro., We know a bit about Sasuke, we have seen Naruto with the 9tails traits, It will have a battle soon.. See Sai fight for real (i hope), plus Yamato, See Sakura with her streagh (its funny i would never said those words about her a couple of months ago.. finaly she is useful in battle!) Naruto improvement.. i guess he is even more into it since Oro told him, will see between you and Sasuke who gotten stronger! Cant wait until next week!

I think they will toy with Yamato's team for a bit and there will be revelations made about Sai's role in this arc. If a fight does happen the only way I see Yamato's team holding their own is if they triple team Orochimaru and have one person fight Kabuto. Kabuto is always portrayed as being Kakashi's equal so a talented ANBU like Yamato should atleast be able to hold his own against him one-on-one. That would lead Naruto and Co. to fight Orochimaru which sounds absurd when you consider their age but with Naruto's Kyuubi power, ability to summon Gamabunta and unknown abilities taught by Jiraiya, Sakura's proven upgrade in skill as a Medical jutsu specialist and Sai's enigmatic abilities they may just be capable of making things interesting for Oro atleast until Yamato disposes of Kabuto and helps them out. That would be the battle strategy I'd expect them to take assuming they fight seriously at all.
