Kuro Usagi was running away from the "City of the Shadow Moon", outer gate 2222. Her hometown was attacked and her parents stayed behind for Kuro Usagi have a chance of leaving the city. When she was about to be killed by a monster she was saved by Canaria that was together with Leticia and a Lion who carried the chariot of Surya.

Canaria started talking with Kuro Usagi and some interesting facts are told: Kuro Usagi is not her real name. She was supposed to receive a name in that night, but the City of the Rabbits was attacked... Kuro Usagi had a huge potential and for that she was chosen as the Miko of the Rabbits. That's the same reason why she has four divine weapons since she was 10 years old:

• Vajra's Replica
• Mabharata’s Karna
• Brahmastra's Replica
• Moon's sovereignty - Chandra Mahal

Canaria then summoned the Baron La Croix (same one from volume 3) because they had to defeat that Demon Lord by themselves to avoid major problems involving the middle and the upper region of Little Garden. Canaria ordered him to invoke all the army. After all they would need every ally to try to defeat this Demon Lord. The four main communities (out of ~100) invoked were:

• "Laplace's Demon"
• "Salamandra"
• "Draco Greif"
• "Avalon"

The four Floor Masters. It was mentioned here that Koumei (You's father) is the most powerful member of old No Name. Then, they went to fight against the Demon Lord. Days later Kuro Usagi was adopted as Canaria's daughter.

At "No Name's" headquarter:

Leticia had received a letter from the "Queen Halloween". It was originally directed to You, but because she was away Leticia met with Faceless. She mentioned that a crack had appeared between Little Garden and the outer world. This was related to the headphone they got in the volume 3. Then, Gree appeared in his human form (yes he can do that), but his clothes were exactly the opposite of his handsome appearance. Unfortunately there isn't an illustration of this scene. Even Faceless was shocked when she saw him lol. In the end they went to No Name's headquarter to discuss about this topic.

At the “Capital of the Sparkling Flame”:

A meeting was being held to prepare against the Ouroboros. The main communities were:

• "Salamandra"
• "Will-o'-Wisp"
• "Perseus"
• "No Name"

Pest was supposed to tell them all the information she had about the enemies, but instead she provoked all the participants telling them they were too weak to fight against Ouroboros. Most of the "powerful" members there were old guys who already had a lot of experience against Demon Lords, so obviously they didn't like that. To finish it there a news that the three mondaijis were defeating the station troops with the purpose of testing their strength. As consequence Jin and the others went to where the mondaijis were to stop them.

The mondaijis were together with Willa. You was fighting against seven soldiers and defeated them using the Genome Tree (Pegasus and Griffon gifts). You asked Willa how she met Koumei and she said that he saved her from a stalker. This stalker was first exiled from the Little Garden by "Queen Halloween", but he trained for years and years and got the teleportation hability. After that this stalker was defeated by Koumei.

Then, some members and leaders of some minor communities got there. Three fairly strong members went after Izayoi (Hecantochires' descendent + a servant of Baphomet + a member of the Shuten-doji). The three of them were defeated by a single punch of Izayoi. Their heads were stuck in the ceiling. With this Izayoi convinced the old geezers to accept his plans, after all he told them that he was the only one who could fight against their leader. Izayoi even bowed his head without hesitation to them (which made them not have any more choice). Willa mentioned that it was possible to defeat Maxwell by anticipating the place where he'll appear. This was how Koumei defeated him and so Izayoi pointed the one who would be fighting against him.

Sandra left the room to bring the other leaders. She was feeling down because she couldn't do something like that even if she was the leader of "Salamandra". In the way she was caught by the Demon Lord of Chaos. He used her weakness (her lack of confidence) and made her 'disappear' (kamikakushi).

With this Highness mentioned that they got the most important gift. The Genome Tree and the Origin's candidate were their other objectives. They would start their attack one hour from that and in the worst case they were supposed to unseal that Demon Lord and go away from the Capital.

Kuro Usagi was thinking about how she could not receive the light of the moon anymore. She really turned into a normal girl after committing the taboo of using the Lance and the armor at the same time. Then Izayoi appeared and we got that scene:

Kuro Usagi mentioned her hair would get darker because she lost her divinity. Izayoi said their chances of winning were 50-50. His main concern was Rin. Jin had a plan to "defeat" her, so he trusted him with this mission. Kuro Usagi mentioned that Izayoi looked like Canaria. That his soul was almost like her. Then, Highness appeared. Izayoi still didn't tell Kuro Usagi about Canaria. Izayoi told her to go to the right side of the fifth temple that was supposed to be the most safe place in the Capital. Highness laughed about how they didn't know nothing about the start from 3 years ago.

Then he showed a part of the Origin's candidate power. He used the Book of Invasions (same one of the volume 4) and a Gift Game started:

"Gift Game Name: "Tain Bo Cualinge"

Player Game Master: Sakamaki Izayoi
Host Game Master: ---- (his name is in blank in the original)

Game Territory: A radius of 2km from the "Capital of Sparkling Flames"

Game Overview:

*The main game is a plunder-type of game from the Host Master to the Player.
Any plunder that happens in this game won't have any punishment if the following conditions are respected:

• Condition 1: The Game Masters must fight to death against one other.
• Condition 2: While the Game Masters are fighting any plunder is permitted (Death, injuries are overlooked)
• Condition 3: The male players will have their stamina spent any times faster while the fight to death between the Game Masters is not over (For any races)
• Condition 4: If the Host Game Master loses the conditions are reversed.
• Condition 5: If the Players Game Master loses the conditions cannot be reversed anymore.
• Condition 6: If the Game Master goes out of the territory he loses automatically.
• Clearing condition: When there is a consensus with both Game Masters. If a Game Master dies, the other one can finish it by his own decision."

With this the Giants (the same ones from the volume 4) appeared again. Highness gave them gifts, so they were even more strong. Izayoi made Kuro Usagi go away from there. The two Game Masters talked a little about the Gift Game itself and both of them knew a certain truth. Only Izayoi could defeat Highness. Just like only Highness could defeat Izayoi. Izayoi was calling Highness as Shirohakki because he was a brat with white hair. Highness decided that at the end of this battle he would be making Izayoi call him as Highness. And so on the battle started. In this first moment half of the eighth temple was destroyed.

Intermission: When this fight started the sealed Demon Lord woke up after 200 years. He knew that he would be unsealed very soon. He was the evil. Soon they would know the true fear of a Demon Lord how survived since the ancient times.
