The person playing was pretty terrible lol, but I like the showcase of all the different 'backstab' animations... OPM Dark Souls 2 Info - Covenants, Summoning Quote:

I like the Japanese boxart slightly more than the NA boxart. The NA boxart looks a bit too BF-esque (back shot of lone dude). Other than that, not much interest in the rest of the collectors stuff... I've long gone digital with my game purchases on the PC and probably will do the same once i move over to PS4 sometime in the future. Artbooks are usually what makes collector's edition worthwhile for me personally.
Looks like last week there have been a media event and here's an hour of Giantbomb discussion on what was shown. Not a whole deal of info that hasn't already been talked, mostly revolved around the tutorial part of the game since they didn't get much time with the game. If you don't wanna watch it, here's a short summary of new info from the video - Snuggly is back in Dark Souls 2. - You can only level via talking to NPC (ala Demon Soul) - being able to freely warp between bonfire you've lit - no longer needing to rest at bonfire to be saved to it (litting one is enough so you dont have to fight respawns like DS1) - You can heal with Life gem (consumeable like water crest in Demon Soul) and Estus but healing is over time instead of instant - Being able to move a bit while healing but there's a slight recovery lag between healing and blocking & dodging. - dodging seems to have less i-frame than before if not removed - Dying will penalize your maximum health incrementally, need to go human to recover back to full health (?) - PC version release date is unconfirmed as of yet.

A tiny bit of lore spoiler, nothing major but just in case you're planning to go in completely fresh...
EDIT: I also should add that he's describing the beginning of the game, tutorial part and all.

Really nice video, well explained and just made me extra excited for the game. If that's even possible at the moment Still have to wait a bit longer to get the game on PC, but I don't mind.

Not really bothered about it like some of the people in the comments of the article are. If people want to use them they can and most people who played demon souls and dark souls wont. Simple, also the Black Armour edition costs the same as the normal game for the PC anyway, so getting that one

Meh, hopefully it doesn't trivialized the difficulty of the game for people. Then again, the Zweihander and Winged Spear was ridiculously good for how easy and early you can obtain it.
I rather folks get something physical from the amount of money they spent on a collector's edition (like statue/trinkets/maps/artbook). Ingame rewards tends to be shit for most part and not worth the extra money people paid for.

Peter Serafinowicz (comedian and actor) talks about Dark Souls 2. Though it's mostly him just fanboying about it but it's still oddly funny how unscripted rambling it is than actual edited transcript that you usually get when it comes to games and tv personalities. Also Dark Souls 2 confirmed to have sex changing coffin. XD

Hearing that guy nerd out makes me feel even better about being a fan. to know the makers are fans too... not like CoD's creators, or how Lightning's husband is only a fan of his own creation and thats it.
