Stop reading faulty translations. The stuff around Face are magic particles. Face is also magic, therefor it needs a lot of magic particles to activate, therefore, there is a very high concentration of magic particles around Face while it's activating. There are no anti-magic particles around Face. Only that one demon ever used those, and those were black. If there weer anti-magic particles around Face, it couldn't activate since it need magic to work in the first place. Pay attention.

FACE was said to be an anti-magic of course it's gonna be made up of anti-magic particles. Come on now.

well, Kyouka I think... described it on the previous chapters as something that makes everything/everyone lose their magic. So mashima fucked this chapter up by saying FACE is made up of ETHERNANO while it cancels magic.

not really kyouka never told who face is made of anti-magic particles, what face is a bomb pulse, is the same with on some sci-fi movies when you use a eletricity pulse bomb, you remove all the eletricity around, face follow the same logic, will be a big magic blow-up who gonna suck the magic from everything on his range of work.

read chapter 363 and you gonna get how face work.

Touma /Imagine Breaker is a special case. It's an unexplained phenomenon.
Face was described as a MAGICAL PULSE BOMB...like an ELECTROMAGNETIC PULSE BOMB.

...and with regards to Wendy, what she did is the exact same thing Natsu did in the Tower of Heaven Arc.
