....Blegh. Can't say I'm a fan of Helbram's fairy form, either. He looks a million times cooler as an old geezer, IMO.

Oh well, I just hope King kicks his ass, already. And I guess I am interested in what happened 700 years ago.....

I believe we can make a nice assumption based on what little we were told.

King is called King because he's the King of Fairies.
According to Elaine, his power was so monstrous no one dared invade their forest.
Yet, according to Helbram he is a Coward and King's Sin is Sloth.
Helbram is enraged at him.

I believe it's not too farfetched to speculate:
This all might relate to King's Sin, Sloth.
Sloth,a King and Cowardice.
This almost screams Harlequin fucked up in the past somehow.
Gonna go with something occured in the forest of fairies but King taking no Action leading to some disaster, Helbram calling him a Coward cause King took no action ultimately leading to his Sin.

How about this 700 years ago somebody attacked Helbrams race as the king of fairies king should've helped them but failed to and the whole race got destroyed but him and that is Kings sin letting helbrams race be destroyed helbram probably said if he were Fairy King this wouldn't have happened

I assumed Helbram's a fairy himself. Some potential Yaoi vibes may be a potential factor as well, just throwin it out there for all the Fujoshis reading this thread :P

I'm curious as to why there are no other fairies other than the 3 (King, Ellen, Helbram). King probably got the entire race killed from his inaction

Well to be fair, so far it's been unclear as to the fate of the fairy clan, so it's too soon to say whether or not they've been killed off yet. We don't really know what became of the giant clan for that matter, either. Personally, I think there's the possibility that those clans could be residing in another realm like the goddess clan, but that's just me. I suppose Suzuki will clarify things once we learn more about King and Helbram's past....

Also, not exactly a spoiler, but next week we'll get a special 44-page gaiden story for King!

Looks like this will be similar to Ban's gaiden chapter, though I'm sure this one will focus on the events that took place 700 years ago.....

Never thought it was this good, so I marathoned it in 5 hours and damn it was amazing.
The powergap/level is too unbalanced and inconsistent though...

Wow. You can never get used to a series getting an anime. By the way, I just saw this manga in my local Barnes&Nobles. Freaky.

Same here. I was shocked to see Nisekoi, Blood Lad, and even Monster Musume (!?) volumes there...

But I wonder if they'll be able to animate everything in this manga.

Well, I'm not surprised that the series is getting an anime, but I didn't think it would happen THIS soon. I mean, it hasn't even been a full two years since the manga started, after all. Or I guess it won't be until next year when the anime airs?

And personally, I'd rather sooner have a Kongou Banchou anime, but that seems unlikely at this point....

The well must be really dry if they're just grabbing series so early in their lifespan.

Then again this is one of the better mangas out there, so ain't complaining.
