Nagi Sanzen'in has a Silver Jubilee match on the twenty-sixth and is a hundred and four votes away from being the first character to cross the twenty thousand vote mark in the tournaments history.

The Madoka win streak comes to an end as Kyubei loses to Nozomi. I guess the Puella Magi just need to start a new win streak from here. Sayaka stomped her opponents. It'll take a lot more than that to take down a Puella Magi. I guess I should have expected more from the Railgun fanbase since Frenda does end up winning her match. I guess a poor preliminary showing doesn't necessarily mean anything. Jindai wins her match without much trouble. I thought Yami would be a bit tougher to beat.

Matches: E1-3 F1-3 G1-3 H1-3

Another match with two Saki characters and a third. I can't see Kinue losing here but it's not like I saw Tacos losing either. Not so strong characters from some of the stronger new series are in the second match. Kaede did make it through first preliminaries so I'll side with her but I'd love to see Isami win. The third match is tough. Yamagishi Saki isn't that weak but she's ouclassed here. Nico should be Love Live's strongest entry or close to it. Uiharu is a tough opponent but I think Nico can win. Uiharu's fight might bring in Railgun fans to help out MISAKA #10032. I might have sided with Nagi winning on most days but not this one.

Votes:
Sasano Ichigo
Oomiya Isami
Uiharu Kazari
MISAKA #10032

Predictions:
Atago Kinue
Kagayama Kaede
Yazawa Nico
MISAKA #10032

E1-3 & F1-3: No main preference but leaning toward Kaede (Non Non Biyori) for F1-3
G1-3: Pick Preference: Nico Yazawa >> Uiharu (Tough match to predict)
H1-3: Picking: Nagi Sanzen'in

Preferences:
E1-3: Kinue (Saki). Another vote split is possible but unlikely.
F1-3: Isami (Kinmosa) > Kaede (NNB). I'll side with Isa-nee but Candy Store is fine too.
G1-3: Saki (Isshuukan Friends) > Uiharu (Railgun) > Nico (LL!). These opponents are probably too much for Saki. Under other circumstances she could have won but here she's gonna end up 3rd I'm afraid.
H1-3: MISAKA #10032 (Railgun). Iona performed better than the other two in prelims but I think faction support will prop Misaka to victory.

Okay, Homura, I understand you are a major player in this tournament and you have a right to be. But to call a race against a veteran that the saimoe community in Japan and abroad has respect for BEFORE IT EVEN BEGINS...isn't a smart move. Your call, though.

It should be pretty obvious that if you put in the huge number of same-series girls like the Saki voters do, you're going to get some vote split scenarios happening, and as early as the first round. You'd have to be insanely lucky to avoid that.
This is pretty much why I never felt sorry for the Saki faction losing due to a split vote.

Didn't post yesterday, but I was 4-0 (Total 15/24). It was landslide wins all over anyway...

For next round:
Spoiler for Pick & Prediction:

No Ayase this year, making it very easy for me to throw full support behind Nico-ni.

And yes, I'm still enjoying that Ayase win almost a year later.

It's somewhat hard to describe. Whoever made this voting system did not make it easy on us, and there is a chance that you might not be able to vote on your internet connection.

Matches: E1-4 F1-4 G1-4 H1-4

Hinata used to be pretty strong and Maya should be the weakest of the GochiUsa characters so I have Hinata winning. I don't think Cocoa having a match on the same day will matter. Nadeko vs Yui might be close but I think Nadeko can win. Cocoa should stomp her opponents in the third match. Hitagi combos with Nadeko to edge out a win in the fourth match.

Votes:
Hakamada Hinata
Sengoku Nadeko
Cocoa
Senjougahara Hitagi

Predictions:
Hakamada Hinata
Sengoku Nadeko
Cocoa
Senjougahara Hitagi

Love Live! continues with its uneven performance and Railgun is a force not to be underestimated.

For today I strongly support the two GochiUsa: Kokoa and Maya. I don't have much expectations about Maya but I hope Kokoa will win her match without much trouble. On the other two matches, a Monogatari combo win seems the most likely outcome.

Umm...so much for Love Live being a contender when Nico, their strongest girl, didn't even make things competitive against Uiharu...

2/4 Today. Outside of Nico-ni not even making it half competitive, Iona disappointed me quite a bit also. Oh well, I should have never underestimate the Railgun-clan that hide behind MadoMagi-clan and the Saki-clan...

For today:

- 4 matches for Railgun series, 4 wins. However three of the wins were bad timing because they were against my higher priority favorites. I'm ok with Uiharu winning..... except I wanted Nico to win much more. While not as convincing as Sayaka against Charlotte, to win against a stronger Love Live rep and in convincing fashion is just as noteworthy. Even Imouto 10032 won her match. Same scenario, I wanted Nagi and/or Iona to win more.

E1-4: Pick preference: Hinata (Ro-Kyu-Bu), Takao (D-Frag), Maya (Usagi)
(Equal preference for all three)

F1-4: Pick Preference: Kotegawa (To-Love-Ru) > Nadeko (Monogatari)
(A case of 2 priorities going in opposite directions. Not much support for Kotegawa early on for TLR, but now showing interest. Nadeko on the other hand, was interested the first two seasons, but not showing as much interest from the latest season)

G1-4: Picking: Cocoa (Usagi)
H1-4: No real preference, but leaning toward Ritsu Kawai

I voted for Yui (because she is the only reason I followed TLR in the first place), and Maizono-san (because I read part of the Danganronpa LP). Neither of them have much of a chance against the Monogatari characters, though.

Quote:
My votes:
<<古手川唯@To LOVEる -とらぶる- ダークネス>> (KOTEGAWA Yui @ To Love Ru Darkness)
<<舞園さやか@ダンガンロンパ 希望の学園と絶望の高校生 The Animation>> (MAIZONO Sayaka @ Danganronpa)
