Embryo and Tusk need to dual kill each other to pave the way for Ange to establish her harem. I mean wtf lol! Why is Tusk even there when there are Yuri candidates for Ange dammit!
I haven't watched the ep yet, but from the screenshots I've seen Ange gets separated from Momoka again? Or rather she's alone with only Tusk - Jesus Yamato in disguise? |

Cross Ange has boosted her point in my eyes from throw-trainwreck anime into epic one
damn! that massacre was brutal.. even though Chris and that little girl got resurrected, it didn't change the fact that 90% of Norma are dead under Julio's order meanwhile, Embryo's intention is mysterious and his singing is so-so (comparing to Nana-sama) but thanks for killing Julio although I prefer if Ange is the one who slashed him down I didn't remember seeing Ersha on Aurora yet.. and no one saved Salia Salia is little annoying now next episode would be Ange-Tusk lovey-dovey moment in Dragoon's world.. oh wait! they still have Vivian I was disappointed with the opening song and scene.. but completely loved the ending song |

The dragon wings make it look like the people who have them are demons. Ange, in the new opening has wings that make her look angels or gods. I wonder if people are born like that, or can they switch their wings depend on their "deeds"?
I also notice that when they were burning all those dragons in the pit with fire, it made that pit look like the pits of hell, with burning demons inside. Also, the shoulder blasters for the para-mail is an obvious rip-off of Guyver's laser canons. I wonder how many different things has this series referenced (ripped-off) from other series.

I just don't understand why people dislike OP song. It's Yoko Takahashi, God dammit. Yes it didn't match the video but it's animators fault. They can't get normal OP video on time so used this half-assed version with mix of OP1, scenes from anime and couple of new.
And Embryos motivation is absolutely clear: clash Normas with humans to destroy the current world and make it anew one more time

Just caught up because I have asthma at the moment and need to rest but... They are living in a Matrix like world?
If we go by those flashbacks on the previous ep there have been several iterations already. And Embryo is willing to restart again... |

Wow, did the staff got caught in Tomino-san's "not caring about the opening sequence" syndrome from G-Reco? I mean, they could do better than that!
While Ange unlocked Vilkiss' two forms (Fukuda should have called it Red Comet and Blue Meteor), I have to say that Embryo takes the cake for not only reviving two Normas (I bet that both Chris and Ersha would defect to Embryo later) but making the coup de grace against Emperor Julio! Still, I have to say that he's a bastard god, and I don't like his singing at all! |

I believe this is the answer you're all looking for.
Viewers of Cross Ange's 13th episode on Saturday night may have noticed something was up with the "new" opening and ending sequences. As the second opening and ending, they mark the beginning of the series' second cour. Both the opening and ending were made mostly by reusing clips from the first cour's sequences, and Japanese fans on social media website Twitter began posting messages of confusion when the episode premiered. This morning, CROSS ANGE Rondo of Angel and Dragon creative producer Mitsuo Fukuda expressed his regret over the snafu on Twitter. He explained that after seeing episode 13 one more time after work, his blood pressure rose again. He wrote, "Regarding the opening, rather than saying it was involuntary, it's more the level of, 'I didn't give this kind of order!'" He noted that he absolutely wants to fix this problem by the time episode 14 airs, and explained that there is not much leeway when producing an anime during the end of the year, even though TV channels are still going during the end and beginning of the year. Fukuda wrote that he was extremely regretful about the situation, explaining that the photography process could not catch up to the frames that were already done. Attentive fans might have expected this situation to come, because around half a week before the episode's airing, Fukuda posted about the bad quality of the opening sequence. He complained that it was not what he imagined. He also wrote that because of the busy production schedule, he could not take any time off for New Year's. |

This being Fukuda I imagine he was very displeased with those few shots that were taken straight from episode 13, but the rest was probably how he envisioned the OP being.
I'm expecting about 80% of the footage from this week's OP to still be there next week, and then they'll add "new" things over the stuff that was taken from the ep. Would be in line with how every other Gundam SEED/SEED Destiny OP is. Slightly arranged cuts from previous OPs with a few new ones thrown into the mix, which are only partially new, of course, because it usually involves two characters naked looking at each other with some mecha/ship in the background, hahaha. Stay good, Fukuda!

This episode:
-A much better opening and ending theme than the previous ones, I approve, they fixed the main issue! -Ersha finally has somrthing resembling personality (can't say the same for Rosaline or Chris though) -Galfa Capture Beasts from Dendoh make an appearance! -Vilkiss confirmed for multiple modes and an energy barrier! -SO. MUCH. ACTION. -Embryo brought the dead back to life? Neat! -Rebellion! Revolution! -Julio is either dead or got transported to dragon world, clearly his bodyguard gave a darn about him. -I'm getting Orguss vibes come next episode. |

I like this OP song better than the first, prefer ED1 to the new ED, but both are great IMO. And yeah, ANN commented on Fukuda's regret over the OP.
Watching Ange go on a rampage and almost kill Julio was a joy to watch. She's rocking some wicked firepower right now and that teleport at the end was sick. This episode further pushes the point home that the Norma never really stood a chance against the Mana users, at least not without a Ragna-Mail anyway. The Mana users were literally slaughtering them. As for Salia and Jill's decision vs Ange's, on one hand, she was utterly massacring Julio's army without breaking a sweat, on the other, Embryo was there with his Ragna-mail and could've captured her, rendering her efforts useless. Ultimately, Ange got away. Though I think Salia's being incredibly jealous, I kinda feel sorry for her. A good amount of people guessed Julio was going down, though I didn't expect Embryo to be the one to do it. It was overkill though lol. I didn't expect Embryo's revival shenanigans either. He knows the song as well, Seki's voice is pretty smooth lol. It's hard figuring out Embryo's motive. It's like he's just toying with people, like the world's a stage for him to play games. He's trying to convince Ange to direct her anger at another target. His dialogue at the end of the episode was weird too and Jill telling Ange it was fine not to go through with Libertus if they wanted to continue being his play-things lends to my opinion that he's just screwing around. If it was him that took out Jill's squad (something tells him it might've been a DRAGON's paramail), he also not only let Jill live, he let her keep the Villkiss as well. Or, he's not playing games and now's decided to take out the DRAGONs. I honestly don't know. I dunno what's going on with Riza either. Noticed the new characters at the end of the ED, interesting.... |

Well this ep was really enjoyable, the massacre, the fights, embryo and tusk apparitions...
Anyone knows the name if the song they sing to use the final mecha powa?? So the opening spoils that Ange is going to end with her yuri harem?? So Tusk will be like his perv little brother, nice i guess The new op and end are really good, the op is little slower and it doesnt go well with the scenes there, but I can deal with it Random thought, Embryo is the onii sama of Cross ange, right?? With all his revival thing and destructive song power

Unfortunately, Embryo is the opposite of a savior. I mean, he's more akin to Lucifer than Jesus.
On one hand, seeing the final shot of Vilkiss in the second opening sequence makes me wonder if the upgrades are applied on Ep. 13 or will be implemented in the future? Sure that having the ability to change modes is one thing, but it needs the external and internal upgrades to match! |

Saw episode 13 and a few thoughts:
* The wholesale massacre. DAMN! * Ange empties her pistol on one of the mooks. * Vilkiss has various combat modes? Did not see that coming. * Just like what one of Jill's assistant said: Where the heck did the submarine come from? * Why do I get the feeling that Ersha and Chris are going to side with Embryo, since he helped them this episode? * What's up with Salia's emo-ness? I'm getting heel turn vibes with her at this point. * So I'm guessing Embryo wants humans and normas to fight so as to "reset" the world? * If that is the case, what the heck are the "dragon" people's role in all of this? |
