Am I the only one who thinks this game looks kind of crap?
I'd really love for it to be a good game, but it looks like a cross between Neptunia Rebirth and Idolmaster.

Neptunia Rebirth is pretty good, though? I would rate it higher than anything Square Enix chucked out recent years.

I'm going to buy it when it come out in English.

Awesome, fantastic, was thinking about this just the other day. That said, depending on when it comes out, I still may or may not get it.

Now that I think about it- Even though I'm a JRPG player, this would be my first game in the idol genre

The "idol" part in the game is pretty limited actually (save for the story). You have a PV editor you can use and share via SHARE button, costume and appearance customization but that's it. There are some "idol" mechanics in the battle system but I don't think they're enough to warrant the "Idol RPG" tag.

Great news. Also I heard this will be the first Idea Factory that performs at 1080p/60fps without dipping, which is almost a miracle for them.

Actually it's 30 fps in most dungeons (small areas are 60), 60 fps in battle but it dips with certain combined special attacks and certain backgrounds.
