For anyone expecting to see more of Entoma, I regret to inform you that she will not get much screen time until volume 6...

For Madhouse, its not like I hate them. However, I learn my lesson not to over-hype for their adaptation work since the experience with Mahouka. I was so disappointed by the time and I was super hype for that show. They seem to have a habit of skipping when it comes to light novel adaptation...

I still hope its better this time though

I actually want that to happen, for the speed they translate is still acceptable considering this ln only has 8 volumes so far and Chinese raw (the one Sky TL using now) is only at volume 5. So if they pick this up, we could potentially have faster release and more accurate TL too

Well, Mahouka is kind of an awkward work to adapt to anime. Too many explanation with too little happening. Well, kinda the same for Overlord but not that much. I hope they do better... Madhouse really got the dark and creepy atmosphere perfectly in Death Note and I'm hoping they can do the same for Overlord. I'd really hate it if the anime became too cartoonish or smth.

And I agree with the licensing thing. If everything went right, I'd just watch the anime 'til they catch up to the latest volume(a season would be worth about several volumes of content right?). By that time I hope there'd be several official eng volumes out, and I'd read from there ^^

A lot of madhouse series are just like that nowdays to try to hide their low budget. Get ready for a lot of scary CGI.

Not bad, but I won't be too hyped about it. It wasn't as dark as the novel, and with a bit of CGI that was shown, I bet it will full of it. I agree with tpnguyen, better don't keep your expectations too high or you'll regret it later.

Yeah, it looked a bit too "neat" and "clean" and not dark enough. I already spotted some derp faces too. That doesn't bode too well.
Anyone know when that skeleton battle is supposed to take place?

Isn't it when there's zombie outbreak in volume2? Well, atleast I can't think any scene beside it. Ir was stated that it was undead, so perhaps they think it was a bunch of skeleton coming to life.

could just be some footage used for the op and nothing else
could be some backstory when its time for the Empire
could be what is going to be the end of the anime series

who knows.
