Episode 2 is out now. Fabulous just like the previous and I really like Zapp's role in this story. Also, poor Leo...well, that eyes of his is quite a fascination but it seems like some other individuals (non-humans) is even more interested in it.
Good usage of OST this week as well.

I loved this episode so much more than the first. It really gave me a chance to understand Libra as a team and I really like Leonardo as a person. I also really like their powers too.
I was only somewhat interested with the first episode, but this episode really grabbed me. Also I love the music, the soundtrack is awesome with all the different types of Western-style music, from jazz to swing to classical. And the ED and OP are great, I love them both.

OP & ED Song are perfect. Especially that first OP sequence....it's just too awesome.
Well, it's really going to be episodic. But still fun to watch (at least for me). I think the strength of this anime isn't the plot, but the atmosphere behind it. The chemistry between each characters also good, I like that Zapp x Chain pairing. Not much sakuga action like in first episode, but I think they just save the budget wisely. Spoiler for OST:

OK, the music is perfect for the show, the OP and especially the ED are awesome (it's been long since I've seen such a fun ending), and Zapp & Nakai Kazuya* are stealing the entire show so far. Which, by the way, continues to be awesomely "old-school cool".
Monsters kidnap Leo, Zapp keeps track of him using his blood magic thing, Chain and the others follow Zapp's magic to find him, while Leo incapacitates the monsters using his eye magic thing. Cue cool posing with ridiculous weapons. *Apparently Zapp was voiced by Hosoya Yoshimasa before. I'm sure he was also great, and while I love Hosoya, I'm happy that they brought Nakai in, he can do that kind of awesome swagger that few other seiyuu can. |

Zapp has got to be my fav character in this series. He's just hilarious. The scenes where he constantly harasses Leo during his pizza delivery is funny!
Really like the comic book/old school feel to this series; it's not something I see very often in anime.

Ep 02
Another pretty good ep all around. The atmospherics created by visuals and audio continue to be excellent for me, the characters and bit by bit world building (assisted by the ED) are also good, yes. But it still seems introductory material - this ep seemed to focus on Libra beginning to realize what an unexpected plus has fallen into their laps in the person of Leo. For now it is still interesting, though, and the arrival and nature of White has me a little curious.

Didn't think the animation was that great this time, which was the only good thing about the first episode. Apart from that Leo randomly getting all his bones broken was a bit too much for my suspense. Also the hyped "old-school cool" is really not doing it for me, at this point "cool" is a genre and when the story tries to fit itself to it it becomes something that should have stayed in the past. Dropped.

So Leonard's offensive ability is to make people trip balls?
Bones is really bringing their A game for this anime. The direction is top notch, just enough exposition to explain everything but not TOO much so it feels like the characters are just talking to the audience. It's amazing how much content is in each episode. |

Weirdness all around.. Leo's day sure was an interesting one. Getting into Libra was just a happy side effect? Flashback to explain how it all started was very interesting. We have the bad guys & the good guys so let the games begin! Some of those guys have pretty cool powers! Not bad, will give this a try. #2 Leo got a monkey out of the bad situation last time. Lucky, I guess ^^ That Zapp was a total nuisance to Leo at first. Getting into trouble so fast... that's our Leo. He really knows how to go in deep.. If it weren't for Zapp... things would've ended up badly. Leo managed to pick another weird friend LOL Fun episode.
