I was referencing the University of South California and its reputation. It's really not just USC, but a lot of colleges and universities in the urban areas. For whatever reason, more than a few colleges seem to somehow find themselves surrounded by shady areas. It's really a strange dynamic. There is the exception such as Stanford, but that's because they seemed to have bought all the surrounding land and is able to maintain a level of control.
