well typical for her character to only notice it during the actual tournament but that's pretty condescending of Misora to think of her group as that...
the fight's not much but the development between characters is nice and oh wow for Rico... she looks hot in that dress... the last part of the ep with creepyzoid... hone nothing wrong goes within the finals... |

Personality issues aside, Rico does look pretty nice in those clothes.
Development was nice and the team finally got their first win. Skipping to the finals seems like the right move considering none of the other teams are relevant or have even been mentioned.

Seriously I don't get this show. Rico is clearly the one with attitude problem acting as if everyone and everything was beneath her, acting rude and abrasive, pushing work onto others, refusing to participate, and generally being the disruptive element, but somehow Misora is the one who needed to learn a lesson about teamwork?
I rarely get angry at anime, especially mediocre ones, but this episode really annoyed the heck out of me. |

Misora suffers from both lack of teamwork skills as well as self confidence, which is more disruptive towards the three teamwork skills.

there are sports and group where someone can be rude and feel Superior to everyone else before a game or events with teammates but once the event starts they know how to work together with everyone. rico if you look at her from the episode where she talked to lecty in the maid clothes. you notice she is very aware of lecty/misora weakness and what kanata/lecty had hinted at was she hasto worry about them she can't fight to the best of her ability. she also didn't know a good way to help them for all of her ability. misora has problems of skill in which she is lacking of and still couldn't make full use until Kanata came in.. if you notice, she has become what kanata intended for her to be from the episode dealing with her mother. which is a mid range cannon unit. she still has no skill in swordsmanship. she used to only charge in with her no good swordmanship and cause chaos for the other two. her teamwork was bad because she still at that time couldn't trusted Lecty to be able to take care of her self and rico to do things or say things for the befit of the team. the sauce/cooking is a good example of this right here that at least my feeling behind it.

I know what the show was aiming for, I just don't buy it. They can't have Rico acting like a goddamn Prima Donna all the time, only to later turn around and say she's a team player while Misora - who was trying to make the team work since the begging - isn't. There's just no clear flow of narrative here.
And I really don't like how Rico gets away with being a lazy bum because she's "talented" while Misora, who tries her best all the time is lagging behind. That's just a terrible moral. A much better plot would have Rico realize she's getting left behind because her lack of effort and having her get her shit together, instead of the easy coasting she gets that's just reinforcing her overblown ego. Bah, enough about that. This isn't worth being mad about. I vented out so I don't have to think about this series until next week. Thanks for listening to my ramblings guys! |

While I don't like Rico's overall attitude. I can at least understand her and Misora.
Well the excuse of Rico being talented so she can do good with the lack of practice is something I can buy because she is talented and can trust her teammates. She knows her strengths and use it well. Misora might be training hard for years and still trying to get better but her path isn't really something meant for her. Kanata advice her to take use of her huge magic output and even advice her to change position or weapon. But she has her reason to stay magic swordsman so Kanata let her be but the reality is. She is not talented with sword. So no matter how much she train, if she is really bad with sword then she is bad with sword. It also didn't helped that Kanata isn't really training her or teaching her of swordsmanship. Most of what Kanata is doing is just guiding them. So in this episode. While Rico is being a b*tch but she trust Lecty and in battle she is serious and can work as a team. Unlike Misora who is taking everything as face value with her not understanding her teammates more, even if She's been tasked by Kanata to understand Rico, she still fails to do it and even let Rico's taunting to get her. I prefer this development over some shounen bullsh*t where the untalented MC just train for a week and become capable and after training for a month become a powerhouse. Even though he is supposedly the weakest and untalented. Its pure sh*t if you ask me.

Lecty is the vanguard, Misora is a center guard while Rico is the rear support. Their position are different hence they don't understand the importance of the position of their own team members. When Kanata started his training, Rico quickly understood its meaning because usually she doesn't have to focus on her back since there's usually no one at all. Lecty had some troubles understanding because she only wields swords and feels that she can't work as a rear guard/back support but after the maid training again, Lecty came to understood that Kanata is having her to take notice of her surrounding, hence she realized the importance of the rear support something she didn't take notice before. Misora on the other hand had trouble understanding the training because she's too focused on making herself stronger to be like her mum (as you've seen her mum is pretty much suited for all positions like Kanata), hence it blinded her from the actual meaning of the training which is to understand and fully trust your teammate. Was cringing so much from the melodrama that I skipped parts of the episode. I get that all the character development the girls went through was for this moment, but did it really have to take 10 damn episodes to do so? Oh well already too deep into this trainwreck so may as well see how it all ends. At least stalker-kun is still there being his creepy self.
And I find Misora's development hilarious. Still playing the role of mid-range support even though she rejected the role optimized for it. Luckily she conveniently has a large pool of mana to keep up the laser spam! But that's okay since she learned about teamwork! Yay! |

The more I watch the more I think this series is so promising
Too bad I don't get to see more of it in the future. It was a hidden gem among mahou shoujo harem ecchi cheap series. The author focus on giving audiences useful life lessons rather than talking shit about mankind and treasure lives. |
