Oldboy=best asian film ever made?

I wouldn't say the best asian film at all. It's my favorite Korean flick along with Sympathy for Mr. Vengence but I haven't really seen much other Korean flicks.

I would say some of the best asian flicks are probably movies that I have never seen like some old Kurosawa flicks out of Japan. My favorite asain movies are Stephen Chow movies like Shoalin Soccer, God of Cookery, etc.

Now on topic, I would have to point out that it's near impossible to claim what asian film is the best ever made. If you aren't from their culture, you most likely did not get as much out of the movie or some of its intents. Not to mention the majority of the movies never reach foreign audiences because of the nature of the material or the kind of audience it aimed at. That being said, it is safe to say Oldboy is an outstanding movie but it's not the best IMHO.
