The only one that turned my switch on is the loli.

The Shinkas usually gets my attention, but not this one (Mai) though. I kept thinking of her as a Shinka-Dekomori love child. Look at her. Basically the figure of Shinka and the voice of Dekomori.

EDIT: Just read that it seems the loli and the pixie fairy are anime original characters. Oh great, Kyoani's already sweetening this series to their own flavours.

@FlareKnight There's too the scene with the pixels when Yuuta wake up, is that a normal thing for their world? KyoAni original? Or is his power related with this? Since after Yuuta woke up they didn't used that pixel effect anymore we could infer that his power can alter reality in a closed space maybe?

PS: Since the fairy seems to be into cosplay we can hope for some fetishes appearing here. Go look at the OP again and imagine Mai (loli for the fanatics

) using that clothes.

Episode 2:

I like headphone girl Koito the best now out of all the characters. Not sure why but she has that mysterious vibe. Makes me want to know more about her like background story, family, etc.

The second half of the episode made me face palm with the content at the girls' college dorm. UFO? LOL

Also I'm guessing Reina's ability has something to do with healing and absorbing. Aww, what a cute phantom...

I was hoping that they'd be more satirical about how the UFO Phantom was peeping at a girls' dorm—it's the bare-bones plot hook for dozens of bad movies from 1975-1985 or so, quite a bit of hentai, and so on. But they mostly ran it straight and left it to us to fill in the jokes.

But then they did give us glorious, glorious fanservice. Sure, it's a distraction from how it's been a (two) monster-per-week series so far, but it's a well-animated distraction.

The thing they recovered from the factory makes me think of a number of devices. The RSA SecurID dongle most of all.

A pretty nice episode overall. Definitely a nice episode for Reina to have some scenes and also Koito having some interesting scenes. Setting up their future team up with them giving her a bit of a hand in the early part of the episode. Certainly a mysterious girl in terms of her background. Though I suppose Reina's background is also up there as well. The girl's parents apparently being rather strict. I guess they're embarrassed about Reina's ability or the effect it has in creating a massive appetite?

Yeah... I don't like Koito. I'm so tired of characters like her, I came for a comfy action show(if they just make vol 1) so I don't want to deal with characters like her. Plus, the whole act of her power was...mehh? I thought something more amusing would be done with the part of her singing or something like that but, from finishing the chanting to immediately do that plain voice... it wasn't appealing.

But Marchosias though, so god damn lovely!!!! Hope I can see more of him in the future cause I don't find the magical octopus as appealing as this one.

Good chapter overall, hope Pixiv make more fan art of Mei from the stretching scene.

Kotos ability was quite plain and even considering her enemy had good affinity against her, it still didn't felt all that great to deserve such credit she got, not even mention she has to chant disgustingly long parol to activate it. Well, there might be more to it than was shown so far.

Anyway she cute and has style. She is not best girl (That would be Mai), but still better than Reina. AFAIC even Saorin can't save that one so it wasn't difficult contest though.

not gonna lie, this episode made me dislike mayonnaise and the red tsun. izumi actually climbed up my list because she actually cares about haru's "useless trivia", on top of treating him like a decent human being. though to be fair she tossed him out the window too.

i think i've outgrown the "treat the guy like s%$#" trope

Spoiler for character introductions anime vs LN: Let's begin with the good stuff, Reina was so damn cute this episode, she's really one of the best girls on Phantom World - read spoiler - every single one of her scenes were so nice, specially the one where she lick Haru's finger. There was more fanservice as always from the piece of meat - Mai - and nothing too useful coming from her. Now something I noticed is how they changed Minase's intro, she wasnt presented like this in the LN and actually she didn't even appear at this point, not before her backgroud.
