The switch has the pretty big selling point (for now) of being the only handheld we've got in a good while. Gaming handhelds may not be popular with most people but I like them a lot personally. Better then any other options for portable gaming such as laptops and shitty phones, both of which only real advantage is that they're inconspicuous. The way switch does it where you can just switch to tv mode anytime with anything is also practically a mandatory feature for handhelds (as history has shown) and removes probably the biggest issue with a handheld system—though I don't like their solution at all. Why the hell would you want to completely lose the use of a perfectly good map/item screen and controller? oh right selling accessories... It's battery life and os software is also laughable. "You can play Zelda on the go... for barely 2h! OMG AWSUM" /sarcasm The hype for nintendo (and I guess mario-stuff) has really been mind boggling to me over the years. What the hell did nintendo ever do? brainwash kids in the 90's when nobody was looking? They might as well rename their company to "The Church of Nintendoes" with the way people talk about them. -
