^Agreed about Sakabatou. Kenshin is still the main character, so he'll need that sword when he fights.
But yeah, he needs to stop using the Hiten Mitsuruki-style soon and adopt Kaoru's dojo's style. Or he'll die just from using swordsmanship one of these days.

I have mixed feelings about that development. I’m disappointed Yahiko’s done so little. I know Kenshin is still the main character, but Yahiko’s grown strong enough to be a strong supporting character/fighter. But then this way there’s a built in handicap and Ashitaro is the new young star. Rare to see Yahiko actually flirt with Tsubame for once. And about that last page...
Spoiler for Last page:

The Hiten Mitsurugi-ryuu is more taxing to his current body which was said to be past its prime already. If it was Kenshin in his prime, he would've been completely fine. That's what Megumi's (if that's here name) diagnosis meant. Kenshin and his master look much younger than they are, all because of what using the Hiten Mitsurugi-ryuu does to a swordsman.

Already in the manga's last arc, Megumi could note how the Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki took a lot of stamina even using the only first blow from the ogi to defeat the last Iwambo. Now, I wonder if he could even use it again considering he is a worse shape. That's why I said Kenshin needs to rely on another style or Ashitaro might need some development

Don't bode well with this manga resurrection. Got it from other forum: Quote:

^Yeah. Why, Watsuki. T_T
But as for chapter 3 of Hokkaido Arc. When Yahiko tested Kenshin's strength, he said that only his stamina is bad. And they wondered how Kaoru noticed it even though she's never fought him before. [My theory is that it's because she's also a master swordsman.]
