Also this is a show made for kids, make sense that the main body is a child's one. Plus in "once upon time...life" the bodies of children were often the focus of many episodes.

BTW, since this is done by David Productions, am I the only one thinking this might be the body of Jonathan Joestar at the end of startdust crusaders? haven't read the manga, but if in the next episode we get a blood transfusion, it would fit. |

All of the cases we've seen were just minor stuff like scrapes and allergies. I know it might not seem minor due to each one being portrayed as some near apocalyptic scenario, but that's to give some indication that your cells work incredibly hard to keep the body alive, even when it concerns only minor things. |

Watched episode 12:
RBC is now a sempai.. although the kouhai isn't impressed much. Nice to see Eosinophil-chan again. ^^ Neutrophil brutalizing a bacteria as usual. What surprised me is the nuclear explosion that happened... they did good in making tension. And it's haunting when Neutrophil found the place with no blood cells at all... Looking forward to next week !

If ordinary police would be as brutal as them. I think there would be much less crimes. A common pickpocket getting caught by the "men in white".. would be murdered with combat knives right there in the streets. Then police give a thumbs up when job is done. Get their clothes cleaned and look for next victim.

I'm not sure "racist" is the appropriate term here. There's all sorts of different types of cells which have far more distinction than what you'd find between races. They're simply able to tell when they've encountered something that came from outside.

My gosh, what does this person go through? Was he/she in a car accident or something? Usually head wounds bleed profusely, but its not life-threatening. This must have been a pretty deep gash in the right spot to cause hemorrhagic shock.
Plus sadly, the heart pumping as hard as it is, is just going to pump more blood out the wound. The cells are going to need some outside help here!

And...it's over!
This week's episode or rather the finale really made me think about the vulnerablities of the human body. In fact, I think it's obvious that humans are far from perfect when it deals with consequences. I feel like they did a pretty creative job at making this anime into something special with the way characters operate. Even in this finale, you can see everyone working together to set things straight again. This earned a 9/10 for me, a possible contender for anime of the season in my book.

Awwww I loved this.
I was really moved by RBC just working hard. While I easily get intellectually invested in shows, I don't always get emotionally invested. But watching this one just warms my heart all the way through. |
