That was probably the best animated battle sequence so far, it could even pass as decent for another anime! I'm glad they're finishing the casino, rushing things at this point feels normal. Lots of confidant work done, too - get the cheating Shinya for the cheating palace, touche. I'm surprised they got the Sun confidant this late though, I suppose most of us maxed him ASAP since he's a Sunday exclusive. After watching even Tae getting maxed out, I kind of wish there was a Mementos spinoff for everyone's quests, I found them really engaging in the game, feels bad to skip them entirely.
Looking forward to next week... |

Episode 26 has aired, and with it comes the end of the show's serial run.
However they announced that a special episode titled "Dark Sun..." will be airing at the end of the year. (Warning: The linked tweet has an attached video which contains spoilers.) https://twitter.com/P5_anime/status/1046072086446460928 |

Imagine how ridiculous the tone would have been if the staff played the song "Autonomy".
Also, while it was obvious Akechi was the traitor, the anime could have tried to hide it more like give make him join earlier, feraturing him more in the openings, among others. Laslty, that was one good opening vid remake. Can't wait for the true finale. |

This is hilarious, the completed second OP debuted in the last episode (I don't know if that was a conscious decision or if it really took them this long to make it)
And here I thought it was never going to come. It's a damn good OP too. This episode was very well done. They ended the series exactly where I thought they would. I liked that the anime attempted to make it look like Akechi was trying to rescue Ren, though I don't know if anybody actually bought it.

Wait, that was the official second op? I thought it was just a last episode special change, what with possible spoilers like the way Akechi and Ren were facing each. I thought the second op had been lazy, being mostly a clip show with a new song, but didn't know there was supposed to be an official new opening, which was pretty good, showing the main characters and confidants. Though its kind of hard to care about the Confidants when most of them barely had five minutes the entire show and their subplots were dropped as there simply isn't time for that. Like Toranosuke being inspired by Ren talking to him... once?
Well, that was a cliffhanger. Even if the special episode is one hour long, that's not enough time to wrap up the story. Even five episodes more would be a rush. I'm glad Arsene showed up again, that was cool. And there's obviously still a lot going on (like Ren's request about the phone). And guess that's it for the show for now. I hope they can animate the true ending, but hard to tell how far they'll get at the moment. I wish they could have paced things better, like by cutting out more things, but then I wasn't the biggest fan of P5's story so maybe that's why I think a lot of it could be edited out. Here's hoping there's a more proper conclusion later. |

It took a while, but we finally got the true second OP. It's a damn good one too. Interesting that the anime tries to make it look like Goro is trying to save Ren, but in the end it was obvious that wasn't the case.

Persona is not a title anyone should rush over, and this one got as rushed as possible and still failed to meet its quota. Animation-wise, it ranges from subpar to horrible, with few exceptions that don't make that much of a difference. The voice acting and the score are very good, but just comparing the first episodes from P5A and P4Ag, you can tell they are worlds apart.
The GAME, however, is a masterpiece. |
