We get a few pages explaining Shido's perspective on the matter. Part of him was already prepared to say good-bye to Tohka. But after that, he kind of breaks. He hugs Tohka and gives his own confession of not wanting to be separated from Tohka.

"I also... I also like Tohka! I like you so much I don't know what to do...! I don't want to be separated from you...! I want to be with you more! Why...why did it turn out like this?!

The sky breaks apart and they share one last kiss before everything fades away.

Cause I don't think she was even part of the battle royale, since she seems to have been busy with her double-date with Shido and Tenka among other stuff.

Of course he will save her (would be extremely shocked and suprised at the same time if not) , but if you ask me then the house will burn if it's anything other than a harem ending.

The thing about Earth's natural magic flow not recognizing Tohka is interesting does that mean that the same thing would have happened to Wescott

I can understand why most of them would lose

Kotori and Kurumi are limited on time in battle
Natsumi and Miku are support types which while tricky leaves them less offensive power
Yamai cancel each other out
Muku, Tohka and Nia didn’t participate by the sounds of it

Origami though is heavily a fighting type though

Guess that explains why it resembled Mio.

Do we know if Shido used Zafkiel again at the end or is using something else? Because it seems like saving Tohka entails making sure neither she or Tenka absorbs Mio's Crystal if Zafkiel's involved.

And I honestly don't see Shido being able to stop Qemetial in any manner.
