Light novel 'Uchi no Musume no Tame naraba, Ore wa Moshikashitara Maou mo Taoseru kamo Shirenai.' (If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord) is getting a TV anime adaptation.

Plot

I understand the source WN is complete, and the LN version's Vol 8 will be the last volume release.

Could the anime completely cover the whole series, assuming the anime releases way after Vol 8's release?

So I guess between this and Maou Sama Retry the trend seems to be diverging a bit from "cute waifu" to "cute daughter" with an eyebrow raising undertone of an overlap. The decadence continues...

Here comes the end of the world as we know it. The only thing keeping us safe was limiting Latina's adorableness to still images. Throw animation and voice acting in and we're all done for.

Definitely something I'm up for watching.

The little sister craze is apparently over. It's all about daughters now.

From what I know about it, I'd agree less Bunny Drop and more Shield Hero (depending on how the main girl's relationship with the MC ends). In a way it's the same thing, teasing the edges without going into the absolute forbidden zone with relationships that have sufficient ambiguity to reasonably argue that the relationship doesn't actually exist while at the same time allowing the individuals to deal with the tension caused by the belief/feeling that it does. Been going on at least since Please Twins where the guy has one long-lost sister and two girls who think it might be them. TBH I don't mind this sort of thing in general. The actual relationship isn't there, and it allows the author to examine relationship dynamics in interesting ways by putting half-imaginary walls up like this.

First of all, there's only like 9-10 years different, Latina never sees Dale as her father and make it known throughout the story. If anything, the bar couple were more like parents to her. The romance doesn't even take shape until much later in the story when she's much older and she forces the issue herself. They're both immortal so that 9-10 year age different is more of a moot point anyway. It's not bad at all, and they go through a lot together that makes the whole thing sweet in the end. If you're jumping in fully expecting a straight father/daughter story, I can see why you're upset, but please don't disregard this completely by just calling it Usagi Drop 2.0 because it's not
